Anything but the C-word!

OP posts:
Auriga · 25/09/2015 23:15

Ha. Peter Mandelson has got me bang to rights.
'Retreaded Old Labourite' Grin Les mots justes.

Lalsy · 25/09/2015 23:28

England vs Wales tomorrow crepesters....it is a good thing I cannot sing or I would be leading you all in Hymns and Arias.

I will wander aimlessly around the Blackfriars area till I hear raucous laughter or get the details from addle.

Crem, so sorry. Flowers.

And BD, much sympathy.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/09/2015 00:37

I wanted to share some words of wisdom from a friend with you all. He has advised never taking a laxative and a sleeping tablet at the same time. Grin

bigTillyMint · 26/09/2015 06:56

Lalsy, it's NOT Blackfriars! Am PMing you!

BeachysFlipFlops · 26/09/2015 07:33

Ha that's sounds explosive, Mrs S.

I know where I'm going.

I went to the nurse yesterday for an 'unpleasant experience'. I told how fat, tired and uncomfortable I was and she's called me in for a thorough MOT Shock Then she took my blood pressure, which was unusually high... So if anyone sees me lurching unnecessarily for the white wine, just slap me on the hand! Cocktails fine, white wine which seems to evaporate in my presence, not so much!

Now what to wear?

bigTillyMint · 26/09/2015 07:40

Beachy, I have high BP too. It's fine if you take the pillsGrin

Not even thought about what to wear!

hattymattie · 26/09/2015 07:55

BD - really sad and difficult about DM. So difficult for your father as well. My DM - isnt quite as nad as this but will wash her hair, forget and then wash it again.

Hope you lot get it together tonight. Sounds like there will be lovely ladies wandering randomly around Blackfrairs.Smile.

Herbs - love the FB picture of you in a tiara.Grin

motherinferior · 26/09/2015 08:19

I will be going to Blackfriars because it's walkable from there - and I have got a map! - and Waterloo East is shut this weekend. That's why.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/09/2015 09:04

I will walk. Where are we going?! Grin

Cremo · 26/09/2015 09:09

Dear goodness, I booked it and now even I'm confused as to where I'm going now. Yes I only mentioned Blackfriars as I too will be walking from there. Also walkable from London Bridge and Southwark tube.
R it's on the RV 1 bus route.
110 Southwark St. SE1 0SU For those using gps phones. It's in the Blue Fin building.

Off to airport. Byeee

Blackduck · 26/09/2015 09:16

Laters Cremo

bigTillyMint · 26/09/2015 09:24

Grin at gps phones!

Lovely sunny day hereSmile

wilbur · 26/09/2015 09:26

Re Rugby - the match is at Twickenham so Waterloo will be busy, but other stations and tubes should be fine. I am also aiming for Blackfriars and walking as it's v easy for me, esp now they have opened the swanky new station exit on the South Bank. Smile Will see you all later for tapas.

Rosebag · 26/09/2015 09:32

I think I might get the 63 (stops at Stamford Street or Southwark Stn) from Kings Cross if it's mobbed there….TFL update emails that I seem to get seem to be warning me off it, as well as Waterloo. Like to avoid rammed tubes if I can…especially leery rugby supporters….

Cremo · 26/09/2015 09:37

Aibu to be looking forward to a wee squish with a few rugger buggers?Blush

Collymollypuff · 26/09/2015 09:40

I've got all the Southwark Street details from Crem's post on the Corbyn thread, now abandoned, and above. But I'd feel slightly easier in my bones if I knew where we're headed after that. Is anyone prepared to PM me?

Lalsy · 26/09/2015 09:50

Wilbur, I LOVE that station entrance [saddo].

herbaceous · 26/09/2015 10:22

My preferred route of train to Liverpool st + bus won't be on, as train is orf this weekend. So I have an arduous combination of tubes and buses to choose from. Rose's kings x and 63 bus sounds promising...

Anything is going to be hard work, however, as have monstrous hangover from last night. Not quite sure how - only had three glasses champers, three glasses red, though it was that Stowells of Chelsea crap. Worryingly, the venue was that of my forthcoming 50th, so maybe avoid the red wine crepeys!

DP is in bed with a pillow over his head, with a whiskey-induced headache. DS has been playing on the iPad and computer ever since he woke up at 7(!).

Thanks for the PM, Rose. Got it now. Smile I know where I'm going, see y'all laterz.

Lalsy · 26/09/2015 10:40

Thanks for sorting us all out, BTM.

Rosebag · 26/09/2015 11:41

I'm going to aim for City Thameslink from KX to Blackfriars but if they're mobbed, my fallback is the 63 bus or I may just bus it anyway…we'll see.

Intrigued by Rudy's cunning plan…..

wordassociationfootball · 26/09/2015 11:56

Crem, I'm so, so, so sorry about your puss Sad. What a horrible shock for you all.

Girls, I'm in time management cloud-cuckoo land and have the most morose PMT.....

..... so I'm bailing. No drinkies Sad. Have a brilliant time.

I don't think I'm going to be around much between now and the new year. I'm juggling so many made up people in my head, that I have to streamline RL like gangbusters or I'm going to lose all manner of plots. Am spending most days with the wifi router two floors away from wherever I'm working. And it's working.

Be well and happy.

herbaceous · 26/09/2015 13:06

New plan. KX, then northern line to London bridge. Then stroll.

WAF - if you're. It going to be around for a while, that's even more reason to come and see us tonight!
