Oooo noddy i personally thought it was a lot less faff, smother on like shower gel, and then wait.

i haven't really been very particular in looking for missed spots or anything, and DP and i both agree that it seems to be holding onto the holiday tan gained the first week of may, more a glow than a deep tan.

1 bottle has only lasted a week with daily usage so i'm going to drop that to every other day and see if it still works, otherwise it's a bloody expensive tan

noddyholder · 28/05/2015 09:23

I use the one hour cocoa brown and its a proper smooth tan that lasts a week at least I think the standing about would bug me! I like the speed of this and the instant dry and colour but will try the shower one on holiday

Vivacia · 28/05/2015 09:36

Uh oh... some dissension appearing.

Eyes Boots' receipt nervously

noddyholder · 28/05/2015 09:40

I'm sure its fab! Just reading this not for me!

homebythesea · 28/05/2015 09:56

What do we think about putting it on dry skin then showering off- would mean less shiver factor, and allow for teeth flossing/brushing in the 3 minutes before entering the shower (can't do this IN the shower)

Don't want to risk oompah loompah look though! I so love the non stickiness of it I don't want to abandon ship, but it is not as quick acting in my experience so far

Vivacia · 28/05/2015 09:57

We think you should do it first Grin

noddyholder · 28/05/2015 10:06

The one i use is non sticky only one I have found but does need to be on an hour before showering so st tropez better for that

£30!!!!!

QforCucumber · 28/05/2015 10:54

yup, hence the bloody expensive tan comment.

£14.50 a bottle, 3 for 2 - so £29 for 3 at the minute

AgadorSpartacus · 28/05/2015 11:03

Noddy - which one have you been using? I like the sound of the instant dry mousse.

Blush soz Badgers

DosDuchas · 28/05/2015 11:59

i used again today. Will try dry thing maybe tonight but have to g oout

noddyholder · 28/05/2015 12:21

If you could rub on dry ans shower after 3 mins would be brilliant

Vivacia · 28/05/2015 12:27

I think if it worked that way, that would be what they'd suggest (as it's more straight forward than the current instructions).

In other news... I have collected my bottles from Boots!

DosDuchas · 28/05/2015 14:04

i am still wondering if this is normal stuff, someone just worked out you dont streak this way?>

reallybadidea · 28/05/2015 16:34

Hahaha, found myself in Boots at lunchtime asking them to hunt upstairs for some. They've got boxes of the stuff waiting for the right merchandising to display it.

I'm more or less a fake tan virgin so I hope this is really as simple as it sounds. I'm as pale as an anaemic Elizabethan ghost and never have a tan (two weeks in central America and I came back about 1 shade darker) so it would be nice to have a bit of colour but I don't want to overdo it as my colleagues are a merciless bunch and will take the piss if I go orange.

My shins are a bit dry - do you think I should spend a few days moisturising them or just plunge in?!

DosDuchas · 28/05/2015 16:59

AGAIN
major boots fail

Pollywallywinkles · 28/05/2015 17:04

I have tried this one two consecutive nights. Those three mins on the first night was rather chilly, although they didn't seem as bad lastnight.

Easy to apply, little in the way of any smell, no streaks, no rub off on the bedding, but not much change in colour after the first application. Looks slightly better colour wise after the second application, but still very subtle.

Have been using Cocoa Brown which you leave on for 1-3 hours then rinse off. CB gives better coverage with no sign of orange doesn't smell too bad, have to apply with a mit, so can be prone to steaks if you are not careful. CB is one of the cheaper self tans.

Will certainly continue with the ST shower, but not sure at the moment if it will be a repurchase when comparing with CB.

Vivacia · 28/05/2015 17:51

So would I be right in summarising that it has no smell, doesn't transfer on to bed linen and doesn't streak. However, it doesn't give you a tan.

It sounds as though I've just spent £29 on a scentless moisturiser that leaves my skin feeling a bit dry.

Madeyemoodysmum · 28/05/2015 17:58

I've ordered some today so will be reporting on this thread too . better work!

cardoon · 28/05/2015 18:09

I thought I caught a glimmer of off white at pilates today...... Hmm

DosDuchas · 28/05/2015 18:14

lol at VIv
I am definitely more tanned, but not one that would scare your colleagues when you go back to work the next day

DosDuchas · 28/05/2015 18:16

has NO ONE found my name entertaining?

sulks

noddyholder · 28/05/2015 18:36

Dry??? On the boots website all teh reviews say skin soft

Vivacia · 28/05/2015 18:40

Thank goodness for that noddy I was sure I'd read somewhere about dry skin and wondering if they could moisturise afterwards.
