Kim Sears wedding dress

Surprised there's not a thread on this already...

Thoughts?

I think the back of the dress is beautiful but the front is far too big, makes her look frumpy (and she is anything but). Still, gorgeous woman

Wouldn't be surprised though if a mini Murray is en route!

She looked absolutely beautiful, as all brides do. Glowing and so so happy.

However the dress did nothing for her - far too billowing and blousy. The sleeves and back were lovely, but the bodice was too full and draped and should have been more fitted IMO.

I also didn't quite get her hairband either - very pretty but the jewels to the side made it look like it had slipped.

She has amazing legs and colouring, and her shoes were fab.

It did make her look huge though (which she clearly isn't!) I have a friend who is tall and slim and also looked huge on her wedding day (similar style dress). I don't get it! If I had her figure, my goodness, it would be on show for all to see Grin

I think she is beautiful and they both looked so happy. I bet they are a great couple.
I can't imagine she would get married in something she didn't like so I think it is a little mean to analyse her dress so much - though I know it's what every one does at every wedding. I'm sure people thought I looked awful in my wedding dress but I wouldn't like to read/hear it myself.

Not having a go though - I did read the whole thread myself!

Wasn't my choice of dress but she looked beautiful, lovely unpretentious wedding.

Wedding dresses are so personal bet if I posted mine of just over 2 weeks ago you would all slag it off too WinkWinkWink

Oh and btw I was showing my wedding photos off and someone asked me if I was pregnant Shock most definitely not and was a bit offended considering I'm pushing 40 have had 4 children, thought I was doing well in a size 8 dress.

the dress is actually really nice and suits her. Not too tight as seems to be fashionable today and not too revealing ditto . Very demure and sophisticated. Well done Kim. Nice hair & make up too.

If she were preggers then it would hav e been obvious before now- if you can be bothered scroll right down to the last pic here and she is in skinny jeans ( there was a side view of her as well but that's gone) and she is like a rake.

tea I agree it is a good thing that it wasn't too tight or too revealing, she's a class act and she doesn't need to flaunt her figure in an obvious way, especially not on her wedding day - it's not a nightclub, BUT…it was just too big and heavy and bulky on her. She looks swamped by it.

I was shocked when I saw the dress. She usually dresses beautifully for her shape. This dress just swamped her, the chest area was frumpy and dreadful, hate the sleeves (looked dingy against the rest of the dress). With her looks and figure, she could have looked so much better.

When I saw the pics I was like, "can't wait to read the S&B thread on this". Just looks really, really ill fitting. Her boobs seem droopy and there looks like there's so much "more" of her round the middle and bum/hip area. The back detailing was absolutely stunning but you couldn't see it because of her veil and hair. Would have been much nicer if it had been a slimmer-fit column/Grecian style rather than the princess look. That dress will have been picked out for months- highly doubt she's trying to hide anything, especially with those pictures of her the day before.

Saying all that, she looked radiantly happy. She's married the man she loves and I doubt she gives a shiny shite what we think! Grin

I think the dress wore her rather than the other way around. She looked swamped.

But very happy.
