Kim Sears wedding dress

Surprised there's not a thread on this already...

Thoughts?

I think the back of the dress is beautiful but the front is far too big, makes her look frumpy (and she is anything but). Still, gorgeous woman

Wouldn't be surprised though if a mini Murray is en route!

I thought the bodice swamped her, and the gathers across her boobs made her look like she has tissues stuffing them. Just too big for her dainty frame.

Her hair was absolutely overdone and didn't suit her- it was like she was wearing a hair band to wash her face. Flat on the front and pouffed out like a mullet. I suppose you want something special, but whoever did it should be shot. She was unrecognisable.

Andy's bride#2 mum looks like a Mother In Law who may prove Troublesome.

No doubt we'll hear about her on various threads in future....

The did look happy, and it's good to see them smiling, and amongst the townsfolk.

Philoslothy · 11/04/2015 23:59

I think that she looks beautiful, lovely to see a bride nor looking overdone or stuffed into a strapless dress.

seaoflove · 12/04/2015 00:07

I thought Kim looked unusually busty too. Love to see a wedding dress with sleeves, and love the beading.

They both looked so happy. They seem like such a great couple.

WalkingThePlank · 12/04/2015 09:00

I think she looks gorgeous and its a welcome return to a womanly bride. Recent years have given us the marriages of the Duchess of Cambridge looking very skinny and Amal Clooney looking like a walking skeleton. Both are apparently style icons but are actually unheathily thin women wearing middle aged clothes (although I'm sure they are very nice ladies). Kim Sears seems nicely slim and wears attractive fashionable clothes. I know which one I'd rather look like and whose wedding dress I'd rather wear.

Odd choice, I thought. Neckline and detailing on sleeves ok, but way too big on her. She could have looked really elegant, in something slinkier with her hair up.

Yes to looking really happy though.

applecatchers36 · 12/04/2015 09:23

It's very fairy tale princess, feminine and fresh.

The dress is pretty volumous and slightly swamps her petite frame. But so much better than the dated skeletal shoulder less dresses a la Posh & she looks so much more womanly, happier and relaxed than the duchess if Cambridge did.

Very sweet couple.

MrsBungle · 12/04/2015 09:30

I think she looked beautiful. I love the dress - all floaty and feminine. She looked a beautiful, happy bride.

mowglik · 12/04/2015 09:50

Never been aware of Kim Sears before so don't know what she usually wears but thought this dress was a bit frumpy - sure she could have worn something more flattering even if she is pregnant!

JMO though and she did look very happy and radiant

Twinklestein · 12/04/2015 09:54

She may be pregnant but she still could have found something more flattering, it totally swamps her.

She's stunning, I've never seen her not look amazing, but the dress didn't suit her at all.

Crossfitmyarse · 12/04/2015 09:57

I am going to have to sit with my hand clamped to my mouth because I hate to speak ill of a glowing, happy bride and all glowing happy brides look beautiful but it was too big for her and a bit dowdy.

Oh fuck it, I can't do it….

It was a perfectly nice dress, it just didn't really do her justice. That neckline would look very flattering on someone bigger and bustier but she is petite and it swamped her. She didn't need all that fabric and heavy beading. unless she's hiding something underneath

And the bridesmaids were a hideous colour.

I liked Andy's kilt.

MarshaBrady · 12/04/2015 09:57

The dress shape could have been more flattering but she looks beautiful overall and so happy.

MargoReadbetter · 12/04/2015 09:58

Old fashioned dress but what a happy, smiling couple. This has cheered me up.

Crossfitmyarse · 12/04/2015 09:58

Oh now I've read the rest of the thread I see that 'swamps her petite frame' is a popular opinion!

dingit · 12/04/2015 09:59

What is the emu type fluff going on behind the bridesmaids?

mateysmum · 12/04/2015 10:01

Lovely to see both bride and groom glowingly happy, but this was not the most flattering dress. It's strange as her dress sense is usually spot on and she is really slim. The wedding dress made her look all boobs and poof and totally lost her slim waist and torso under the skirt, making her look dumpy and plumper than she really is.

There was some lovely detailing on the sleeves and back and you can see the skirt is beautifully flowing, but I just don't think it was right for her.

BackOnPlanetEarth · 12/04/2015 10:03

Do other posters think the wedding dress has pockets - it looks like it does to me. I love pockets... very handy. I wonder what she would put in them, some loopy, some tissues, her mobile, some change for the parking.

I think the pregnancy speculation is a bit Confused Hmm. I thought it was not the done thing to do.

Am I the only one that thinks this? Sad

Crossfitmyarse · 12/04/2015 10:06

If you look at the very last picture on that DM link of them visiting Dunblane Castle the day before the wedding, she is in a jacket and jeans and she looks absolutely tiny. Confused

MargoReadbetter · 12/04/2015 10:13

Why can't you speculate about pg? I don't really care one way or another and haven't speculated, but no-one's being unkind.

noddyholder · 12/04/2015 10:15

Her hair was lovely natural and it moved! The bridesmaids dresses were an odd choice for a young cool couple's wedding

pinkfrocks · 12/04/2015 10:22

The pics of her the day before at the rehearsal showed her in skinny jeans and no hint of a baby bump.

The dress didn't flatter her- too much material around the bust- it was a kind of Grecian style IMO with a puffy skirt.

It totally swampd her and didn't do her figure any favours.

Bridesmaid dresses awful and no sleeves for wedding this time of year wasn't very thoughtful- they must have been perishing even with their stoles.

TheFairyCaravan · 12/04/2015 10:23

I think she looked lovely as did Judy.

I, too, think she's pregnant. Good luck to them, they look so happy, it's not staged and it's a refreshing change to see a high profile bride and groom walk out of a church in public.

pinkfrocks · 12/04/2015 10:26

why would she be pregnant now- before the wedding?
Risk of morning sickness etc etc or a very obvious bump if she was past 14 weeks.

HesterShaw · 12/04/2015 10:29

I thought they looked so absolutely happy nothing else mattered :)

Congratulations to Kim and Andy.

BeaLola · 12/04/2015 10:29

She looked radiant. I think the dress needed a stronger more fitted neckline and then it would have been really fab. Re her hair it usually looks amazing but perhaps this time round with weather forecast etc it had too many products on it trying to keep it loking good?

I thought the bridesmaids dresses awful and the Mother of the Bride outfit awful too - she could have looked lovely but instead looks cobbled together,

Flowers and trees in cathedral look awesome
