How many days wear from jeans?

How many days wear do you get from your jeans normally?

I see some mums at the school gates who look like they wear a fresh pair of jeans every day, without any bagginess at the knees etc. But that is an awful lot of washing and ironing. Just wondering what other people do?

TIHYD, wearing every day for eight non Summer months a year ( and on public transport!) and washing them every other day, I have three pairs and DS has four. One of my pairs is new, but the others I have had for three years. DS has had his for two.

Mine were from Dorothy Perkins. DS's from Matalan. They still seem fine.

I have about 20 pairs of jeans ...they wear ok despite washes every wear. I mainly wear premium denim..Goldsign, J Brand ..and have had them years.

I didn't actually say that I meant London- I said a big city- maybe Paris, New York, Calcutta or Mumbai??
However, all I will say is that the only times I have had tummy bugs in recent years is when I've spent time in a big city- using public loos, public transport, underground etc- and so I do make sure that anything washable is washed afterwards (including my hands when I'm out!)
And I do have a friend who will never use a public loo without putting paper on the seat! You can actually catch boils and other people's skin infections that way if you are unlucky, not to mention tummy bugs.

Interesting! Thanks. I've recently decided to have only one pair of jeans at a time (not counting ones for gardening/decorating etc) because otherwise I always have a favourite pair and feel annoyed when I have to wear the others (I wear jeans most days).

I have three pairs of jeans. M&S jeggings/skinnies. They just get bunged in with each daily wash of school uniform (jumpers/trousers and pinafores) and dh's (dark) work clothes. Two of the three pairs were new in October, the other pair is from last year. They all look good as new. I don't expect more than 2 years from £20 jeans anyway really tbh.

And I use Tesco Value washing powder and white vinegar as softener.

If you wash jeans after one wear because you have been on public transport, what do you do about work clothes? My DH wears suits to work and travels on public transport every day, and I used to commute on public transport and had to wear smart skirts and dresses which were dry clean only, so were only washed occasionally!

A day and then The next days dog walk so they get trashed.
