If I see another pair of those Stan Smith trainers... And as for the dungarees - step away from the fads ladies.

OP posts:
dexter73 · 05/03/2015 19:15

I used to long to have a chimpanzee dressed in dungarees. Was there a programme or advert about one in the 70's? I'm not sure where I got the idea from but my mum used to have pet monkeys so that may have started my interest!

dexter73 · 05/03/2015 19:18

Sorry that is totally irrelevant to the thread but the talk of dungaress reminded me of my childhood dream!
Um blogs, yes they do all seem to show the same things. I quite like reading the ones that talk a bit about their lives in their blogs as I actually find the clothes bit a bit boring Blush!

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 05/03/2015 19:19

In my head, I always re-name 'All Worn Out' to 'All About Eve'. The other 9 ladies have pretty much evaporated, but Eve gives it all she's got. I take my hat off to her.

dexter73 · 05/03/2015 19:20

You are right. I wonder what happened to the others? I know Belinda does her work clothes blog now.

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 05/03/2015 19:22

Mrs C-B is on Pinterest instead I think.

AmberNectarine · 05/03/2015 19:23

Is that the PG tips advert dexter?

I love Eve's outfits.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/03/2015 19:28

There used to be a beautiful All Worn Out-er, with a pixie cut. I liked her. Can't remember anything about her clothes but her face and makeup were always gorgeous.

I don't really look at any of the blogs now. Tend to pootle about on Pinterest instead.

FrugalFashionista · 05/03/2015 19:28

I checked All Worn Out and Eve is wearing all the blogger cliches too Blush But I still think she has her unique quirky style, I love the glimpses of personality, this post for example (just ignore the black dungarees) and her loose fitting hip hop inspired stuff.

I have a crush on Natasha Goldenberg on Instagram.

dexter73 · 05/03/2015 19:32

I have just googled and I think you must be right Amber. I would still quite like one!

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 05/03/2015 19:37

Jasmine Worn Out? She still pops up from time to time I think

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/03/2015 19:40

Remus - you mean Rachel I think. She is indeed quite beautiful.

Eve also looks amazing and love the idea of All about Eve.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/03/2015 19:41

Hi Mrs CB - long time, no see! Yes, I think it was Rachel - gorgeous.

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 05/03/2015 20:03

Rachel!

Datahub · 05/03/2015 20:23

amber I LOVE YOU
but step away from the dungarees

Data I'm thinking about diversifying into dungaree shorts.

dexter73 · 05/03/2015 22:04

Just reading the ES magazine and apparently Stan Smiths are over and Nike Air Force 1s are in. Just in case you care!

linalool · 05/03/2015 22:35

I just read today that these are what everyone should be wearing instead of Stan Smiths www.matchesfashion.com/womens/eytys?qxjkl=tsid:38929%7Ccat:QFGLnEolOWg&c3ch=LinkShare&c3nid=QFGLnEolOWg.

I liked Jasmine on All Worn Out because she wears the type of clothes that I would wear.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 05/03/2015 22:37

It does seem too, that many bloggers spend ££££ every month on clothes so I admit to being hugely envious - but often quite bemused that they don't end up looking much different to me or people I know who spend a fraction of it. The obsession with spending £££ on basic cotton items, sandals, etc baffles me. But I wish I could have a mere fraction of the budget of Amber, Eve Wornout etc so I could attempt to compete. I would definitely start a blog if I could afford to constantly update my wardrobe. I don't need advice, I need money! I don't think I can be the only one who looks at blogs to fantasy shop and live vicariously rather than it seems to be assumed, to learn. As it is, until I win the lotto or bag a rich husband I shall snark from the sidelines Grin is much rather read the £££ ones than the boring school run type ones that have no semblance of style, but it irritates that it's such an expensive hobby.

Silverjohnleggedit · 05/03/2015 22:38

No! I love my stan smiths! I love Eve too. I just hate the freebie promotional posts.

Twinklestein · 05/03/2015 23:24

You have a great figure AmberNectarine but the outfit is Play School presenter meets Dexy's Midnight Runners with dash of Greenham Common.

I have no intention of making current trends 'workable', either something works or it doesn't.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 05/03/2015 23:38

I'm saying no to the dungarees but I do love a pinafore dress - Vicky Beckham or alternatively ASOS - I'd be all over that were I not heavily pregnant.

AmberNectarine · 06/03/2015 08:05

Twinkle probably not intended but I'm quite pleased with that description Wink

Ballroom I do spend a lot, I won't lie, but it's not because I have a blog, I'd be spending that amount regardless! There is a real market for bloggers with a high street budget doing it well so I say go for it!

squoosh · 06/03/2015 10:18

Dexy's Midnight Runners! That's what it reminds me of.

Sexy Dexy.

50ShadesOfSummer · 06/03/2015 11:06

You look great Amber. (But I have both dungarees and dungaree shorts, so would be predisposed to say that!)
