Are these a gimmick or should I get one?
I have shoulder length hair if that makes a difference.

They're the bees knees.

Wotkinz · 01/03/2015 19:48

But what will it actually do?
Does it matter that I have zero coordination and usually struggle just a brush and a hairdryer.

There are some good tutorials on youtube.

Gunpowder · 01/03/2015 19:50

Much easier than brush and hairdryer. Works best if you blow dry your hair normally until 90% dry and then use it.

They are amazing. I have a bob that ranges from jaw length to shoulder length (I'm not good at getting it cut).
My hair is very fine and the big hair thing is the only think to get any volume in it.

My friend borrowed it when she stayed over (shoulder length thick hair). Instant convert - bought one within a week.

Enjoy it, you won't look back

Gunpowder · 01/03/2015 19:51

Good if you like ends tucked under/flicked out styles.

Wotkinz · 01/03/2015 19:52

Will peruse EBay and Youtube and keep my fingers crossed. How long do they take to heat up?

Just read your latest post - you can't be more cack handed in the hair department than me. It's so easy to use it's unreal.

EmGee · 01/03/2015 19:54

I have shortish hair and find it really useful. I don't use it til my hair is 99% dry though as I have really thick hair.

It makes my unruly hair look shinier and much more manageable/softer.

Well worth the 40 quid or so!

EmGee · 01/03/2015 19:56

They don't have to heat up - you just switch it on and it blows out warm air (think there are two settings) as it rotates

ajandjjmum · 01/03/2015 19:56

There's a thread on here regularly talking about how wonderful they are - personally I think Babyliss have an active marketing team Grin

I have one, and despite watching the tutorial etc., could never get on with it.

Anyone want one?

SirChenjin · 01/03/2015 19:59

The BBH is the best thing ever to have been invented (aside from anaesthesia and antibiotics obviously). I don't know what it does, but it smooths my frizzy, thick, wavy hair and makes it lovely and swishy. Utterly amazing.

aj - if you're selling yours please let me know? I'm onto my 3rd BBH and am in need of BBH #4 for when the the current one gives up the ghost Smile

ajandjjmum · 01/03/2015 20:02

PM me your address SirChenjin - it's just gathering dust in my bedroom!

plumstone · 01/03/2015 20:02

They are amazing, I love it, had mine since august, not had a bad hair day since!

WipsGlitter · 01/03/2015 20:04

I love mine. It has transformed my life.

CurlsLDN · 01/03/2015 20:04

If you like the look of your hair when it's been blowdried with a big round brush - that's what it will do, but you don't have to be a hairdresser or an octopus to do it. It makes that effect easy to achieve on your own

Chottie · 01/03/2015 20:05

Love, love, love my BBH. It makes even my hair shiny and swingy. I have 'hairdresser finish' hair everyday now. What's not to like?

Seriouslyffs · 01/03/2015 20:06

sirChenjin what happens to yours? Mine makes a noise but doesn't rotate. I keep meaning to sit down in good light to check that there's not hair caught in the barrel and it's not jammed on cold, but do they just die?

SirChenjin · 01/03/2015 20:06

Have PM you aj Smile

RichTeaAreCrap · 01/03/2015 20:07

I keep reading threads on here about how great they are. I'm going to have to buy one and try it. My hair is quite long, will it work for me?

Skivvywoman · 01/03/2015 20:08

Does it straighten out hair?

SirChenjin · 01/03/2015 20:09

Mine stop rotating after a while too. Tbh, I suspect it's overuse - there is a lot of hair to sort out on a daily basis. They always seem to go once the warranty has run out too - the one I've got is about 15 months old, so I'm waiting for it to stop Sad

I'll never, ever be without one though. I eulogise often about the BBH on MN Blush

MamaLazarou · 01/03/2015 20:09

I use mine for straightening my hair. It is brilliant.

snowmummy · 01/03/2015 20:09

Mine burnt out :(

burnishedsilver · 01/03/2015 20:10

If it stops working prematurely babyliss will replace it.
