Stropps - 6000 words sounds herculean - well done and great to hear you're an awesome teacher - we could do with some of these round here.

Mrs SGrin - you've got my day off to great start.

bigTillyMint · 10/12/2014 06:29

Stropps, well done! That is fantasticFlowers I knew you and Herbs could do itSmile And only 2 more terms to go. Nearly!

MrsSGrin

MontserratCaballe · 10/12/2014 06:59

Wow, Stropps, 6000 words in amazing. Well done. Fabulous.

MrsS, you are a legend Grin

NUFC69 · 10/12/2014 07:20

Herbs and Stropps - very well done. As BTM said, only two more terms to go.

MrsS Grin

I hope all the Crepey DC are improving. .

We had a very productive day yesterday as because we didn't have the GC in the morning I managed to get most of my cards and letters done and posted. I did discover that I had missed out a whole page of my address book so I need to sort that out this morning.

Lunch with DH's cycling buddies was enjoyable and we won a bottle of cognac: I was disappointed, though, that the man who last year arrived wearing his cycling gear and who changed into a DJ and tie, wasn't there.

Dental hospital this afternoon which I can really do without.

I can confess to receiving the Hotter and Damart catalogues. Angry I think when I started having mammograms I was 50, but they may have lowered the age. My next one is a week on Monday. A special trailer comes to our village/small town and does everyone who is eligible in one fell swoop. It's quite disconcerting as I invariably hear of several people who have cancer and need treatment. Sad

addle · 10/12/2014 07:25

SS arrived yesterday - thank you! Won't open until Christmas but particularly like the fetching lacy decoration

Well done Herbs and Stropps

Mrs S - v cheering

motherinferior · 10/12/2014 08:10

I have performed second Ladyjog of the week, and fear my running leggings are unnervingly like those of Missis PrancerciseShock

MrsS, I bet the nickname's halfway round the office by now.

Blackduck · 10/12/2014 08:31

Stropps :)

MrsS - what were you thinking? (or clearly you weren't thinking..... Grin )

Here I had a Christmas drink with some work mates - I'm not sure four bottles of wine, four packets of crisps and two bowls of chips counts as a balanced diet! Ho hum :)

SS - it's wrapped and ready to go - hopefully sometime beofre Christmas Hmm

bigTillyMint · 10/12/2014 08:42

BD, those kind of work drinks are good for the soul if not the body!

Blackduck · 10/12/2014 08:49

BTM :)
I hastened to add I didn't drink all that alone....... :)

wilbur · 10/12/2014 09:00

Snort at MrsS - the Christmas office party season is fraught with danger for the loose of tongue (fnar). I have to remember to behave at our do as we are joining forces with our lovely new office co-habitees and they may not be very keen on me giving loud advice to the younger members of the team about their love lives, which is what I did last year. Because I'm SUCH an expert.

BD - you need to add some peanuts to your diet for a bit of protein and then it's all good.

Am working from home as ds1 has the lurgy - he's been off school since Monday afternoon and is still suffering, poor thing. Not sure if it's noro, or what, but he certainly can't afford to lose any weight, he's skin and bone as it is.

NUFC69 · 10/12/2014 09:01

MI, the gloves will be posted this morning. Please pass them on to Hatty's DD if they don't fit.

motherinferior · 10/12/2014 09:36

Many thanks, NU!

I am Not Thinking about Christmas works dos at which I have behaved spectacularly badly.

Blackduck · 10/12/2014 10:01

Wilbur thanks for the dietary advice - will try to remember next time Wink

It was a fab bitchfest and just what I needed Wink

motherinferior · 10/12/2014 10:31

Wine is made from Fruit. I'm a health journalist, trust me.

cremolafoam · 10/12/2014 10:42

Mrs S , gold star for you- snortGrin

Stropps , you put us all to shame, with that workload . You are indeed amazing with jingle bells on top.
You and Herbs are just incredible to take on so much as well as run a house and do all the things left to Crepeys to pick up.

NU well done on getting the cards away. I still have only written six. May need your bottle of Remy Martin to achieve a full house.

I am getting a tree today from Ikea. It's their £5 deal. You pay £25 for the tree ( nice Scandinavian noble firs) and then get a £20 voucher to spend in Ikea in January. Win win .

The weather 'bomb' is upon us. Wild, wet, windy and damn cold.
The cats are under a bed, which usually means it's going to be bad.Grin

wilbur · 10/12/2014 10:53

I'm not sure what is going on with the weather bomb. Last night we had proper gales and a couple of branches down in the garden, but now it's the most beautiful blue-sky calm winter day. But the radio is still warning it's on its way and that the south will get the tail end of the storm after it's done with the north. V cold though, and I have misplaced my fingerless gloves which is a pain when I have a lot of typing to do. Angry

cremolafoam · 10/12/2014 11:07

The worst is yet to come Wilbur, but SE might not see it. Up here is Labrador it is howling alreadyGrin

bigTillyMint · 10/12/2014 12:15

Wind was indeed terrible last night - woke me up, but lovely today. I have already done my 10,000 steps (not including 45mins in the gym!) and still have another meeting to go to!

Sounds like DS is in trouble yet again. No idea why is being so difficult (apart from it being his personality!) nor what to do about it. He had no SN's and comes from a normalish family. I reckon it's must be his hormones making his natural difficult-at-times personality traits worse ATM, but how can I do anything about that?!

wordassociationfootball · 10/12/2014 12:45

Hello Crepinistas - just dropping by to say hello and say I'm sorry I couldn't be with you last Friday for dinner. Was at the Christmas Unfair.

I am not up with everyone's news at all, sorry, but I am hoping Herbs gets a Guillinator or laminatine for Chrimbo, and 'Very Good' is fab Stropps!

Mrs S, your loose tongue dialogue made me roar with laughter so hard, and in an operatic warble to boot, that the cymbals on my drum kit vibrated quite loudly. Thank you so much. I'm having an addled (no disrespeck, Addle) day and that has cheered me hugely.

bigTillyMint · 10/12/2014 13:01

WAF, lovely to see you!

beachyhead · 10/12/2014 13:16

Oh my lord, just caught up with the Prancerciser.....I promise to walk my dogs that way in the future. Or we could do a Crepey Prancercise on the way to the pub at the next MU.....

Well done Mrs S. I really can't drink with colleagues - it is too fraught with danger!

BTM - I feel for you. I always assume that with both of you being in education that you would have all the answers, but I know that's not helpful. We always think 'more exercise, less internet', but I know your ds has a massive amount of sport every week. Are there any teachers who he has a great relationship with who could mentor him through the next 3-6 months?

lalsy · 10/12/2014 14:00

BTM, is it low level nonsense like mucking around at the start of lessons/being silly to get attention of the class/establish his place n hierarchy? Or something else? If you are able to say of course.

Or repeating himself in an irritating way? Grin

herbaceous · 10/12/2014 14:21

I'm having a day of personal admin. Had brunch with friends this morning, then home to plough through the intray, which I have reduced by half. Shortly to venture out to deliver birthday card, collect DS, and swing by to pick up a fez from a porch.

May or may not be singing in a carol concert tonight, depending on whether DP can get back from his conference. All go. Or not.
