OK, following on from 'Bag Recommendations for £900 thread', I took the 'bag by the handles' and started a bag lovers thread. This is not a 'OMG why would you spend that amount on a bag' thread, its purely a lust thread.

Yes but it's totally ok to buy a bag rather than a house if that's what you want to do ;)

As I say, bags are lovely. Not sure I'd feel the same about a 65k house but who knows.

Anyone seen anything nice in green recently? I've had in my mind something bright for a while but not seen anything exactly right

Although this thread is putting all kinds of bad ideas in my head, it has at least prompted me to start changing my bags. I am terrible at this. I buy a new bag, put everything in it, and then that's it! I've been using a large black Coach since I bought it at the end of last year. So. Last night, I brought down a selection of other bags, with the aim of using them: a tan Tods, a cream Michael Kors, a black patent Francesco Biasia, and my chestnut woven Cole Haan that goes some way to ticking my BV box (although on other days it just makes me want one more!).

But getting back to putting bad ideas in my head. I'm debating the merits of these:

I love the black halston but preferred the Zac Posen that was linked on other thread which I have just bought

I also found the halston a little to close in style to my Celine trapeze - I think I'd use them for the same thing / with same outfits.

Dunno what's come over me duplicating bags has never previously been as issue

Not totally convinced by logo but will see when arrives.

My issue with the minkoff is it's just not as nice as the Prada - which is gorgeous. I know they're different price brackets but I think I'd always regret not taking the plunge on the prada.

No idea how price compares in US. I travel a lot (although not US) and notice less and less difference on price for the international brands.

True. And the exchange rate is not what it was (thinks fondly back tot he time it was $2 to £1...).

You're right about the Prada. But realistically I'm just not going to spend that on a statement colour bag right now.
