OK, following on from 'Bag Recommendations for £900 thread', I took the 'bag by the handles' and started a bag lovers thread. This is not a 'OMG why would you spend that amount on a bag' thread, its purely a lust thread.

We look, we lust, we love, we discuss.

Ooh, just came across this thread, fabulous. Lol at santa and linus! My dream woc (possible Christmas present) is black caviar leather with silver hw HOWEVER think navy looks better with gold.

My dream bag is a navy Birkin with ghw. I used to always go for silver on everything but have a tan Birkin with ghw which has converted me to gold. Also have a gold/steel bicolour watch strap which gives me free rein to mix my metals.

This is on my Christmas list.

I love love loved the Smythson Nancy, the bigger version. It's gorgeous in that orange they did a few years ago, but equally scrumptious in the black. Also love it in a light grey-blue they did a while back. Do they still stock it?

I hope so because if I can never have one I shall be very sad indeed

heading home from florida tomorrow and still have a few dollars left so fancy buying a bag. probably coach as much cheaper here that the UK. I'm not a fan of tory burch or guess which seem to be the other options.

a Madison café or east west tote. or smythe but only seen in pink and black and fancy tan.

or maybe kate spade? cobble hill devin (although might be too much like my anya zip satchel and maybe that's why I'm drawn to it) or Charles street haven or cobble hill peters?

decisions decisions. or be good and bring dollars home to change back to £ and buy school shoes and uniform, or is that far too sensible?

mara, any chance we could get a pic of the Birkin? I lust after the bright colours (red, Hermes orange...) but I know I should go for the practical.

Nice Birkin. I'm really surprised that they sell it to you still with all the card protection still on it.

He apparently has been waiting for a long long time for this - I don't really know for how long-but who cares? I love him more! (sigh)

That's soooo lovely, I doubt my dh would think of doing anything like that, I think you have to be very organised to give one as a pressie!

DH is in Finance- so I really think it's the guilt of staying away dealing that makes him feel the need to compesate for his absence!

because will do! Next week as am away atm. From what I remember it came v well protected like frogmore's. It even has a plastic bag that you are supposed to put around it when raining but have never used for fear of looking like a right eejit!
