OK, following on from 'Bag Recommendations for £900 thread', I took the 'bag by the handles' and started a bag lovers thread. This is not a 'OMG why would you spend that amount on a bag' thread, its purely a lust thread.

We look, we lust, we love, we discuss.

I actually think this thread will be good for me, might force me to swap my bags more often ;) I'm so lazy I tend to use the same one for weeks...

cranagh it's a fab colour! it goes with everything! I do regret a little bit that I didn't get the bigger size, but it did mean I had to get a smaller purse to fit in it ;)

I've worn black WOC today, very practical.

It depends, I've a smaller purse, I can't carry much makeup, or a hairbrush etc, but keys, a few poo bags and dog treats are fine.

Oooh santa a mum at DD's nursery was wearing a red WOC today. I nearly ripped it off her!

karbea I also wear my bags months on end, I really need to change them more.

I wear it out then replace. Should probably get more.

Sigh...I went window shopping for bags and now I want a Givenchy Nightingale so badly! Might start dropping hints to DH for Christmas

linus I saw a navy one in caviar< very rare> made me think of you instantly, I think it's a good introduction to Chanel bags, very light and surprisingly I can fit most things but not my wallet obv,

Can I join in with a Radley?? It doesn't have a dog hanging if that helps. There is a little gold dog though (but that's ok coz I like dogs). It is probably my most used bag. It is a good size, nice and slouchy and can go cross-body. Despite being nearly three years old, it is still in great condition.

It is also my bench-mark bag in terms of quality - I don't think I would buy anything that wasn't at least as nice, even if it was quite a lot cheaper. More expensive bags have to be that much nicer to be worth it.

santa DM bought one recently (as you know ) and when I was admiring it she offered to buy me one for Christmas.

But when I said I prefer the caviar leather she said that she hates it so that's me told. Guess it's going to be a jumper for Christmas from DM.

Both leathers are gorgeous, and it's a matter of personal preference,
But you can't beat black caviar with GHW,

I prefer caviar as the lambskin although gorgeous just doesn't look very hardy.

No no, no gold hardware (if that's what you meant)!

At least that's one thing DM and I agree on, white gold/silver hardware all the way!

Lovely bag topaz, Radley has really upped their game these last few years.

I think the gold looks more classic.

I'm depressed a little as I fell in love with the Gucci Disco last spring, and tried to not buy any clothes for a whole year to afford it and failed miserably. And now about 4 MNers since have bought it! But I shall try not to be bench like about it. It's hard though when you have champagne taste on a lemonade budget. Maybe one day my family will have the disposable income that so many of you are lucky to have, for now it's all about property and children, dammit. One day, one day.
