I see School Run Style has the M&S polka dot dress too. You often see the same dress/top/skirt on lots of blogs.

Kablooger · 19/08/2014 15:41

little bird - that white skirt makes you look HUGE
desist

DialsMavis · 19/08/2014 16:15

What's the name of the one from Birmingham who had a horrible thread in relationships describing how her wonderful loving husband and father of her children doesn't see or pay for his child from previous relationship? She didn't want him to pay for or see the poor child. Awful. Got lots of traffic for her though.

Kablooger · 19/08/2014 16:16

not old pink door herself,, er styleguile?

DialsMavis · 19/08/2014 16:19

No, she is young (mid-late 20s)

A57 · 19/08/2014 16:23

Really this thread is nasty. I am sat here shaking my head thinking what a bunch of bitches hiding behind a computer/smartphone.

It would be great to SEE what you all look like .. who's first in posting what they are wearing today and to show off their style?

Cannot wait for this!

Fiona

For the record, I've attached a photograph of what I'm wearing today.

Fiona - I have criticised bloggers who don't disclose - that's not bitchy. Bloggers should disclose or its dishonest.

And you know, Poppy/Joanna came on here a while back with regards to a similar thread and dealt with it very gracefully and the majority of people on here really like her.

DialsMavis · 19/08/2014 16:27

You look great, I'm dumpy and shop in a Primark... Hence no fashion blog

wiltedcabbage · 19/08/2014 16:27

It's Wendy's dog I feel for - there's a skinny dog hidden inside him I'm sure. It must be that he doesn't get the walks he needs as she wears such high heels all the time.

sharingeverythingtwice · 19/08/2014 16:31

I don't see this thread as being particularly bitchy, surely if people are writing these blogs they understand that there will be people who have opinions on the clothes they are wearing and the style of writing. Not everyone will like it but I'm not sure it is bitchy to post a negative opinion and if nothing else I would think they will see a lot more traffic on their blogs over the next couple of days.

I like looking at blogs and sometimes I do think jesus what were they thinking but thats human nature it doesn't mean I am being a both. There is absolutely no reason why everyone commenting on this thread should post pictures of themselves as they are not climbing to be fashion bloggers or putting themselves on the internet for debate. For what its worth I think you look lovely A57 and really like your trousers, although I am assuming you to blog.

sharingeverythingtwice · 19/08/2014 16:32

My last post is so full of errors I'm not going to attempt to fix them all, i just hope it's still makes sense.

A57 · 19/08/2014 16:32

@dialsmavis - My jumper is Primark, my jeans are Matalan and the shoes are TK Maxx!
@MrsCampbellBlack - I take back calling you a bitch. Disclosing a gift/freebie etc is etiquette for a blogger and should be done - I agree with you there.

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/08/2014 16:39

Don't get me wrong A57 there most certainly have been some bitchy comments on here. But we're not all massive bitches - I guess I prefer the more amateur blogs where its just someone having fun and passing on their recommendations.

Blogging is really hard and I have the utmost respect for anyone willing to put themselves out there.

Wow A57, thank you for call us all bitches

My comment up thread was a compliment about the lovely Fifi.

I totally agree with MrsCB, the non disclosure is irritating to say the least. Also those who are constantly reviewing freebies.

sansucre · 19/08/2014 16:44

On this particular thread I've just mentioned a dress a particular blogger featured is now on the sale rail!

I've been quite constant in my criticism of bloggers who don't disclose freebies and don't think that's being bitchy.
However, if a blogger chooses to put herself out into the public domain then they have to accept that not all feedback will be positive.

Attached a picture of what I'm wearing today although the pic was taken a few weeks ago. I've had to crop it because I don't want to out myself :)

Feel free to criticise, I'm happy enough in myself not to care!

Gosh I wondered why my stats were up again! I love reading these threads. I know when I post photos some a shit and some are okay. I don't have a photographer or a stylist - just a tripod on my driveway in the heat and humidity of Atlanta! I never censor photos and I always post outfits that I have photographed - the good, the bad and the ugly. I like to try different clothes and probably have more latitude to do so here - I can play the 'crazy English bird' card. The last thing I want to do is end up head to toe in Tory Burch or in a visor and tennis skirt like the rest of Atlanta!

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/08/2014 16:51

Poppy - I'd quite love to see you try the Tory and tennis looks - just for fun Wink

A57 · 19/08/2014 16:52

I MADE AN ERROR .. I didn't see (this site is not the most user friendly I have to say) - I saw 1 page and not the other 5 behind it. I have now read them all and in HINDSIGHT it's balanced for nice things vs bitchy comments - so I am eating a large slice of humble pie to those that GENUINELY were being nice.

I guess everyone who blogs about clothes is dumped into the 'fashion blogger' camp but I'm not sure everyone who does blog about clothes believes themselves to be a fashion advisor.

I blog because it makes me get up, get ready and get out the door in something other than my faux gym gear. I only blog to inspire others to do the same. I know NOTHING about fashion, I just wear high street clothes and cobble an outfit together hoping that if I can inspire 1 other women to feel good about herself then my job is done. I have bought 8 items of (Tesco) clothing this year - YES THIS YEAR and that is it! I show people that you don't have to buy crap loads to blog/wear/feel good/look nice.

Once again, 6 pages now read I am apologising to those that have been nice about others. I still stand by my words for the other comments though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/08/2014 16:52

Looking good Sansucre Smile

A57 · 19/08/2014 16:54

@sansucre - I think you look great! - no criticism here. I would never criticise anyone either because I think (as women) we have enough pressure on ourselves viat the media. When women turn on each other I don't like it.

WilburIsSomePig · 19/08/2014 16:57

I don't think any blogger would seriously think that everyone who reads their blog would like everything they wear/say every single time A57, that would be ridiculous. In fact I would imagine that they are like the rest of us mere mortals and sometimes look at an outfit with hindsight and groan. Grin. I reckon they're all big enough to take a few unpleasant comments and ignore them completely so although I agree that some comments have been uncalled for, calling everyone bitches isn't terribly nice either.

A57 · 19/08/2014 16:58

@WilburIsSomePig - I agree with you which is why I issued an apology a few comments up!

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 16:59

A57 and Sansucre you both look lovely.

A57 which one is your blog? We're generally nice to people who post on here imo.

WilburIsSomePig · 19/08/2014 16:59

Just saw your apology A57, fair play to you.
