Eeek! I have my boarding pass, my passport, my oyster card, I am nearly packed. All I need to do now is shower and wash my hair as it's going to be a very early start tomorrow.

shop last summer I bought my Colts (pistols but higher heel) and my Choo bikers at the same time. Well I actually tried them on on the same day but bought them on two consecutive days and DM and DH paid for the Choos but those are technicalities.

linus don't be nervous, everyone is lovely. I am a general bundle of anxiety over everything. I managed London by myself (I'd never been to london alone before) and got to the MU and everything was fine

Oh btw, my suitcase is half filled with jeans and trousers that are too big for me now. shop has first dibs on the Jimmies in a 28 but the rest is up for grabs. you will have to take them all because I am planning on filling my suitcase with London stuff

Ok shop. I didn't focus properly on bedtime stories at all this evening as I have been thinking about your boot dilemma. I don't think you should keep two pairs of black boots as you'll always favour one over the other. Why not order the chestnut pistols and see how they are and if you do decide to keep two pairs then if you have brown and black that will be much more useful.

Linus don't be nervous! The really really weird thing is that everyone is in rl exactly like they are on here so weirdly afterwards whenever you read posts you "see" them. Or is that just me? also for days after you think of them as their real name. Am totally paranoid about outing anyone!

I understand the nerves though I was bloody crapping myself at the first mu. I had so much fun I ended up missing a party I was meant to be going to that night!

Linus don't be nervous. MNV has been the best thing that has happened to me in the last few years? The women I've met on here are just fabulous and have helped me through so much. I count them among my closest friends.

I agree with everyone who says keep the boots you love more shop, and use the rest for something else.
I know how you feel Linus as it is my first mu too. I am looking forward to meeting everyone but will be nervous too.
I will have an early start as I have a long journey and I have allowed time for shopping, and what with the weather, I will probably wear jeans rather than be glam.

Right, here's what I do know. I don't want chestnut Pistols. I have Hudsons and Spirals in tan. I also see Pistols as being a bit edgy, a bit grungy, and tan doesn't feel like that. So if I keep the Pistols they'll be black. Which is an arse as they are never discounted.
Pistols - I can see with a black polo neck, skinnies, my Chloe peacoat or my M&S check coat. Tees and skinnies etc etc
Bikers - slouchy knit (my Vince sweater) and skinnies.
I just said to Marsha on text, Pistols are Saturday with the girls, Choo bikers are Sunday pub lunch by a roaring fire. Aaaaarrrgggghhhhh.

X post... well you're right, they do fill different gaps in your wardrobe despite being the same colour. You wouldn't have to buy ankle boots again for many years
