Does the new Boden catalogue make anyone else want to kill themselves?

It's my own fault for getting it I know. But I doubt I'll ever be able to afford anything from it, all the lovely skirts and shirts and sweaters and winter coats. And all the lovely buffed facialed skin and styled hair.

I wouldn't have thought so Cup but the gauntlet was flung at me and as I said, I'm having a bad day.

it's lovely, Malory but you're right about the price - what's made it leap out of their usual £59 skirt bracket?

SoupDragon · 06/09/2006 12:42

If you want something that's a bigger poncey pile of poo, you should look at the Toast catalogue. Hahahahaha! There was one in with Living etc this month. Hilarious.

expatinscotland · 06/09/2006 12:42

God, I used to look like that, too, MT. Now I want to go and drink turpentine.

Might have to have some wine tonight.

monkeytrousers - I'll think of you like that model if you envisage me as one of the other stunning brunettes.

toast is pants.

There was a comparison article in a magazine a while ago comparing Boden with Toast - which woman are you?

Twiglett · 06/09/2006 12:44

I hate the Boden uniform

it classifies people round here in about 2 seconds

that said, last time I said that I clicked on the link to check that I really, really did hate it .. and ended up buying DD the cutest sundress ... £22 .. but so cute .. then she wore it to Dulwich park and I saw someone else with a child in the same dress and felt suddenly uncomfortable (as this was a braying hooray henry type that I try to avoid) .. she's never worn it since

expatinscotland · 06/09/2006 12:45

Toast is dull. Looks like flour sacks and jumbo bags of rice sold in Lidl.

JackieNo · 06/09/2006 12:50

some rather baggy shirts (especially that first one - £75)

cupcakes · 06/09/2006 12:51

toast is so depressing - I feel like I'm living in a communist state.

cupcakes · 06/09/2006 12:52

why carpenter when there isn't even a loop to hold your chisel? phh.

expatinscotland · 06/09/2006 12:52

I know I for one am in need of a pity party.

'The Way We Were: A Tragic Love Story of Bodies in Time'.

I feel your pain, MT! That's why I'm giving Boden a swerve this Autumn and going for the eclectic, high street mixed w/charity shop look.
