Hello everybody - exams finally finished - one oral horrible and the other, English Lit was great apparently - so we'll see.

I'm sorry about your dad's trials Crem, very worrying for you and your Mum. Don't worry about clearing out DD's room, we're all at it - DD very moody inspite of end of exams. Rude to me in front of boyfriend, I'm having words with her later - I think though it's because there are so many imponderables in her life right now.

Stropps - fantastic news regarding interview. Fingers and toes crossed.

NU it was Simon Groom on Blue Peter, admiring the knockers on Durham Cathedral (old I am).

It is very hot and humid today, not helping my hot flushes - feeling tired and cross.

I have finished this tranche of nightmare project. Wot time are we meeting, crepesters? Now???

bigTillyMint · 27/06/2014 17:38

6.30 MI! Better get your skates on! Are you 185ing it?

QueenQueenie · 27/06/2014 17:39

You're a keen one MI!
Looking forward to seeing those who can come, sorry to be missing those that can't...
Hope to be there by 7.

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 27/06/2014 18:07

I will put some slap on and shuffle down the road shortly. It's quite a trot from the 185 stop, BTM. You might want to jump on a 3, 159 or 59 from the post office.

Rosebag · 27/06/2014 18:17

Yes certainly mother stropps. Waiting for path lab results and a further appointment next week for DD.
stropps I don't know where you are but I can always recommend the surgeon who I saw. Really liked him although it was private and I didn't have cover for cosmetic so just paid cash in the end.

Ok crepeys who are on the tiles tonight. Have a brilliant time. Enjoy !!!!!Smile

Jesus. Because rain was forecast, my Friday post-school group met up at my house, rather than the park. Three tired four/five-year-old boys, and a one-year-old. Plus cake, plus dressing up clothes, plus a broken Buzz Lightyear.

Can you imagine the state of my house?

Stropperella · 27/06/2014 20:12

Herbs, I don't want to - it might give me nightmares Grin . We are having a family film night - Snow White & The Huntsman followed by The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Feeling a little over-excited as the first featured Thor. V partial to a bit of Thor, I am. Which is a source of much amusement to the rest of the family.
Rosebag, I live in deepest, darkest Dorset, so will have to take my chances with what the NHS offer. I suspect that will be a flick of the Vs in my general direction and a wand of frozen nitrogen stuff. Grin

herbaceous · 27/06/2014 20:13

Thor the god of thunder
Was riding on his filly.
"I'm Thor!" he cried
His horse replied
"Then where's your thaddle, thilly."

cremolafoam · 27/06/2014 20:30

Snurk@ herbs.Grin

Rosebag · 27/06/2014 21:11

Indeed Grin at Thor verse...

Ah well, stropps never mind. You won't be wanting to schlepp all the way to Buckhurst Hill then. Hope they sort you out locally. Certainly ask what scarring, if any you could expect from the freezing method.

Has anyone heard from the party animals? Who for the most wasted?

cremolafoam · 27/06/2014 21:21

That QQ is a tearaway, oh and u have to watch Mrs S ( lush)

beachyhead · 27/06/2014 21:45

Crem, I really don't think we can comment like that SmileSmileSmileSmileWineWine

herbaceous · 27/06/2014 21:50

I tended to find meet ups slightly disappointingly non-drunken, so I'm probably the biggest lush...

Blackduck · 27/06/2014 21:55

School fair here. Dodgy necklace purchased (made by ds) and boots raffle prize. Flight, car parking, (tres expensive ) apartment booked - bilbao here we come

cremolafoam · 27/06/2014 22:29

Yay bD muy bien! Felicitaçiones!

Beachy Blush don't I know it. Lol shouldn't cast aspersions ....

NUFC69 · 27/06/2014 22:47

All the Crepeys are obviously having a great time as no one is back yet.

So we saw micro NU earlier: tbh if you didn't know that he was prem, he just looked like a slightly small newborn - his colour is good and he already has a triple chin! So lovely to see him and I had to dry a few tears - he looked just like my DS when he was born.

We collected 3 yo DGS at tea time and he is fast asleep in his mum's old bedroom. DD is at a Paul Weller concert in a forest in Yorkshire and will be back tomorrow.

herbaceous · 27/06/2014 23:14

Aww, NU, how lovely that you met him. And that he looks like DS. I have to confess I've got a bit confused about your grandchildren. Is 3yoDGS son of DD, and other grandchildren (inc micro) children of your DS?

QueenQueenie · 28/06/2014 00:22

Well I'm home and on my laptop in bed with dh snoring beside me... and disappointingly impressively sober. Had a luverly time - Mrs S's choice of venue was an excellent one and great to see everyone who could make it - good to meet you WAF!

Up at dawn on another Uni open day... not feeling v keen!

CointreauVersial · 28/06/2014 00:45

I'm still on the train, which I had to actually sprint for (not easy in these heels). It was a really lovely evening. Have a great weekend all.

NUFC69 · 28/06/2014 06:56

Herbs, I now have four GC. DS has GD1, who was 2 this month, plus the new baby who is GS2; DD has GS1 who was 3 in February, and GD2 who was 1 last month. My DC, once they decided to procreate, have wasted no time, so I have had one GC a year since 2011 and we have two of each sex. My DD is a lawyer who works so we have her 2 one day a week, DDil is a SAHM so, up until recently, we have only seen her daughter with her parents.

Last night DD's little girl stayed with her husband - we had my GS to make things easier for him overnight.

All quiet here so far - usually the 3 yo is up by now. DH won't get up to make a cup of tea in case he wakes him. Smile

cremolafoam · 28/06/2014 07:08

Car- booting this morning. Nice dry day thankfully.
All the best QQ with next uni trawl. ( don't forget hip flask )Grin

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 28/06/2014 08:40

ugh

cremolafoam · 28/06/2014 08:50

Feeling bruised mrs s or just aversion to car booting??
. [ we have set up and already I am thinking can I go home yet?]Confused

bigTillyMint · 28/06/2014 08:52

Glad you made the train, CV! Had a great time last night (despite DD and DH's best efforts to interrupt with calls/texts about todays arrangements which are NOTHING to do with me, grr) - I did feel a little tipsy at one point, but then I am a light-weight nowadays!

Oh yes, have fun QQ, and Cremo on your Car-boot! Feeling ill, MrsS?
