My god it's a mistake to stray from the loveliness of this thread on here these days... just been told to fuck off by some goady gimmer. That'll learn me.

motherinferior · 20/06/2014 20:10

Rudy, in your own time.

QQ, good grief.

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 20/06/2014 20:36

Why do I have to cook every fucking night? Is it because I have a vagina? Angry

bigTillyMint · 20/06/2014 20:59

Obviously MrsS. Just like meWink

QQ, I posted on that very strange thread. Troll?

NUFC69 · 20/06/2014 21:04

I am very fed up with cooking after the visitors. I did suggest to DH that we went out for lunch after taking my friend to catch her train. As he said he didn't want to eat out I got my revenge and just threw together a salad tonight (I don't think of salsds as cooking). I do sympathise, MrsS, I always cooked until I had my first operation and couldn't stand. DH does cook about three times a fortnight now. On the other hand, in DD's home her husband cooks, and in DS's home he mostly cooks. Put your foot down!

originalpiratematerial · 20/06/2014 21:17

We've just rung out for pizza. Costs a bloody fortune now as the DSs each eat far more than I can, but still, nice not to have to cook.

motherinferior · 20/06/2014 21:34

I passed the cooking buck. So we had fishcakes, broccoli and a few oven chips.

motherinferior · 20/06/2014 21:43

Produced by DP, I mean.

The pics from my father's 80th are moderately disturbing - I look like a spacehopper in an orange wig.Grin Honestly. I think I shall write them off.

QueenQueenie · 20/06/2014 21:53

More like goady fucker BTM Grin

Blackduck · 20/06/2014 21:55

MrsS I am sending {{}}
Yes I get the cooking thing.... But if he'll pay for the takeaway

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 20/06/2014 22:19

He has been shopping, come back with four lettuces and some milk. WTAF?

Blackduck · 20/06/2014 22:26

Four (VI, 4) lettuces and milk?!?! (Types rapidly into google - does this make some delicacy?)

Blackduck · 20/06/2014 22:28

Whoops that was six - I meany IV (unless Mr MrsS had popped up again ;) )

cremolafoam · 20/06/2014 22:29

Thanks For Mrs S and Crepey Quote Of The Week
I really did lol and nod head in agreement. I work every Saturday and every Saturday without fail I dread going home to: dh in a chair watching lizard lick towing or other such shite
Dd lounging in bedroom on Skype
Dirty dishes piles high. Un emptied dishwasher . Pile of wet washing still in basket. Cleaned out fridge.
And then the look of hunger about them and the completely nonchalant expectation that I will conjure dinner out of half a wholemeal loaf and a tin of sardines. RaaaaaaaahAngry

cremolafoam · 20/06/2014 22:32

Ooh my new Birkis have arrived!
< attention span of gnat>

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 20/06/2014 22:35

Yep, Crem, exactly.
We have four varieties of lettuce now, but no food.
Food shopping is my job too.

Which birkis did you order, Crem?

Shall I book next Friday for 8 people or 10? And do you want to start in the pub opposite or go straight to the resto and their cocktails (they are about the same price).

QueenQueenie · 20/06/2014 22:39

What sort are they crem? I fancy a pair of the two strap ones.
In other s and b news I bought this fantastically lairy skirt in m and s of all places yesterday. It's suprisingly nice in rl!

QueenQueenie · 20/06/2014 22:40

Why do m and s show the model wearing one 2 sizes too big for her?

cremolafoam · 20/06/2014 22:49

these babies here they looked startlingly huge when I took them out if the box( I only have size 3.5 hooves) but they feel tremendous on. They hug your feet.
Unlike the Clarks silver crepey shoes which I am struggling with. I bet I end up in Birkis for the next 3 months.

QQ I love that skirt - it's great ! But I didn't think of you as a skirt girl?!
Wink

Mrs s I need to think if a way to jolt hopeless dh and ds out if their Saturday stupor. Previous tantrums/ strikes/,chore lists have failed. Perhaps I'll just check into a travelodge until they "get with the programme"Confused

originalpiratematerial · 20/06/2014 23:10

I didn't buy the Clarks silver crepey sandals in the end but I am rather tempted by their Birkie-a-like brown sandals. It takes me so long to make up my mind though that before I know it we will be in October and the choice of sandals will be moot.

CointreauVersial · 20/06/2014 23:13

Love the skirt, QQ. I have a thing about printed tube/pencil skirts at the moment.

Nice sandals too, Crem.

I'm chuffed to hear that the weekend's weather is expected to be good. Although our To Do list for the next two days includes worthy tasks such as painting/renovating the front door, cleaning the windows, pruning some of the rampant shrubbery and sewing up the hole in the recently purchased and expensive trampoline net, it is made somewhat nicer when the sun is shining.

Anyone have plans? Apart from Beachy......here's hoping the camp-out goes well. And best wishes to the ailing pooch.

bigTillyMint · 21/06/2014 06:49

Scrolling back, MrsS, I think it might be 8 definites and 3 possibles? Please add/remove yourself if I am horribly wrong!

I think Auriga said she couldn't make it in the end?

I am voting for starting in the resto with cocktails at 6Grin

Love the skirt (the top the model is wearing doesn't do it or her justice) and the Birkies look very comfy - I have never tried that style - I am a toe-post girl!

Looks like it's going to be a bright, bright, sunshiny day. Shame the sun pokes it's rays into the bedroom at 5amConfused
Am feeling a little tired as I didn't really sleep till DD came in about 11.30, even though DH was waiting up with DS!

NUFC69 · 21/06/2014 07:18

Looks grey here today. DH has to help DS reorganise rooms in his house ready to put it on the market. Not sure if I will be childminding DGD1 while this happens.

I love the skirt, too. I got very cross in M&S recently when I tried on a pair of soft wide legged trousers which I really liked. I am 5'6"/7" and the short ones were actually too long! I was told that I should wear heels with them. My argument was in that case I would buy either the medium or long ones. I think you would have to be over six foot to wear them.

OMG, just had a call from DS, he's on his way home from hospital: DDil's waters have broken (she's 33 weeks). They are trying to slow down labour, but baby will be born either in the next two days or two weeks. If you remember she had a scan on Monday and they said baby was almost 5 lbs then, so fingers crossed everything is ok.

bigTillyMint · 21/06/2014 07:23

Oh Gosh, fingers crossed for them/you NU. (My NDN's DD was born at 31 weeks and is now a long-legged 12 year old!) Could she be a bit out with her dates and she's further along than she thinks?
Maybe the sale will be on hold for a bit?!

NUFC69 · 21/06/2014 07:36

I have wondered that all along, BTM. We have been joking with her and saying that she will never go to term, she has looked ready to pop at any time. She is just 5' and DS is over 6'. Her first baby was a big 8 lbs. I am feeling very unsettled and anxious. DS has gone home so he's there when DGD wakes up. They rang his MIL in the night and she's there. DDil took herself to hospital while MiL drove round. Shock
