fedup the navy banana republic blouse is lovely.

In answer to queries about the Lands End cardi, I did try to link it before but I think it links to a coral colour instead of the dark/cherry red. I will try again though here

It was big though as PP have said. I am a 12/14 on top and ordered a M thinking that would be right but it is more like a 14 than a 12. I should have read the sizing instructions more carefully.

So today I have been wearing a black and white animal print dress with a lightweight black blazer and black knee length boots (Arctic work A/C)

I might get the legs out tomorrow though!!

Drywhiteplease · 05/06/2014 19:06

Interesting Stokey. I'm going to launch the sludge diet. Anything brown or green is good. White is bad. Simples. Grin low carb works for me. I haven't got a sweet tooth and love meat. I eat a lot of protein.
Shop great purchases. I love the heels. I need some special, classy black courts.

Drywhiteplease · 05/06/2014 19:22

Has anyone heard about this website... I wasn't aware that Chanel sold online and wondered whether it's kosher. The prices look pretty real though. Hmm

LinusDKD · 05/06/2014 19:49

love love love this look

LinusDKD · 05/06/2014 19:52

Don'y know dry, but I think sunglasses might be an exeption to the rule that they don't sell online.

BrandyAlexander · 05/06/2014 20:06

Hello everyone. One glad you're feeling better.

My sinusitis is back.Sad Am in bed as my head hurts. I will do a report on purchases tomorrow! Some definitely going back so now wondering if I can "justify" a discounted bag?Hmm

OneLittleLady · 05/06/2014 20:51

Hope you're feeling better soon novice Thanks

Fedupnagging · 05/06/2014 20:59

Glad you are feeling at little better One and sorry you're not Novice.

Not heard of that website Dry. I don't buy expensive sunnies any more as I always break/ lose them. 1pair raybans in the Thames 1 pair d&g in the Cam for starters. wine may have been involved

Alex Chung looks lovely in that pic Linus.

Evening out has been cancelled Sad so instead am doing boring chores and looking at living room furniture instead of nice clothes for me.

libertychick · 05/06/2014 21:26

Dry I notice the site says that the orders for Chanel glasses have to be taken by phone rather than online.

Hope you feel better soon novice. Looking forward to hearing what you are keeping from the big order!

Fedup IME if I don't like how something looks on me I never wear it and I now don't waste money buying items to try and make another item work. Sorry! That said, I do think navy is the best colour with yellow and I saw this top in Monsoon today and thought it might work with them. Also M&S have 20% off today only so might be worth a browse on there if you have time?

Sounds like the sweater is a winner Marsha.
Good shopping Shop. Like Blair I couldn't walk in those shoes but I wish I could! The dress is great - perfect for over a bikini.

Stokey great link on nutrition.

Drywhiteplease · 05/06/2014 21:55

Fedup you're right, I'm also a nightmare for wearing them on my head and dropping sunnies. Think you recommended TK Maxx....found a very nice pair a couple of weeks ago for very little.
Also....with big sunglasses, how do you avoid panda eyes when sun bathing? Do you take them off or have a small pair? Hmm just wondering had panda eyes many a timeGrin

libertychick · 05/06/2014 21:57

Dry I try not to tan my face! I lather on the factor 30+ and often sunbathe with a sarong over my face and always wear a hat - have sunspots anyway from getting burned several times as a child.

Fedupnagging · 05/06/2014 22:09

Um, I usually end up with panda eyes and hope it's not too noticeable. < gets kicked off style and beauty>

Liberty, I think you're right, I probably won't wear the trousers much as am too self conscious. Probably not worth buying anything specifically to wear with them and just stick to the white top I already have. Oh bugger, I did want to wear them to the MU!

Drywhiteplease · 05/06/2014 22:20

Good point liberty . Just bought first ever sun hat and at my young age I really should not get too much sun on my face. I'm going for the Joan Collins look this summer [wonk] Grin Marsha
linus I agree that Alexa Ch looks incredible in that beautiful dress.

libertychick · 05/06/2014 22:26

Fedup please don't stress about what to wear to the MU. Easier said that done I know, I almost chickened out of my first one at the last minute as I decided I hated what I was wearing (and my DH made a negative comment about the outfit which almost made me cry as I was so wound up). Wear whatever you feel most relaxed and comfortable in, I am really looking forward to meeting you.

Fedupnagging · 06/06/2014 07:36

Thanks Liberty Smile

Today's mission is to decide what to take away this weekend. The weather forecast is mixed so guess skinnies and cropped, flats, heels and hunters just in case!

shopafrolic · 06/06/2014 07:45

Morning all - Novice, Lib, Marsha, Sleep & Dry - PM
Fedup wear what you feel comfortable in for the MU - no pressure :)

LinusDKD · 06/06/2014 08:09

fedup I am also starting to stress about what I am going to wear at the MU.

Maybe I'll just pack a huge suitcase with lots of clothes so I can decide on the day.

I also considered wearing lots of bling to distract people but I will never be able to out-bling novice so I won't even try. Wink

BrandyAlexander · 06/06/2014 09:11

Noooo don't stress now about the MU! I have no idea what I will wear, I usually start trying to work it on the day....and then get stressedGrin

Annianni · 06/06/2014 09:58

Are you keeping the RM Novice?

Shop, I've just sent you a NY pin.
it's only the magnolia bakery, buy I thought your ds would like it if he's anything like mine

I did the 30d last night with dh (I made him do it and he was out of breath which made me feel slightly better)
And I'd forgotten how much I hate it :o
Does anyone want my copy?

Annianni · 06/06/2014 09:59

But!!! Stupid phone...

maradesbois · 06/06/2014 10:16

Morning all,

What a lovely sunny day. Am sitting in my sunny kitchen on 2nd, but not last, espresso of the day looking at property in London (should be getting ready to take 3xdc swimming-not quite so relaxing!)

Have decided we need lots of space so bit further out than first planned is fine. linus and fedup am already thinking about what to wear to the mu too! Think will go fairly casual but maybe a heel for child-free afternoon. Would also like to use my AW clutch which haven't managed to do once since bought it before hols on outnet clearance day.

anni what is the 30d?

liberty I am careful of face tanning too, the dermo clinic showed me the extent of sun damage under this sort of X-ray/uv light. I looked about 80 years old and it terrified me so wear a factor 30 cream on face, neck and hands every day now even in winter in Scotland!

LinusDKD · 06/06/2014 10:37

marsha I don't know if you are a Tod's kind of woman but I saw these and thought of you.

mara I also wear a mosituriser with spf on my face and chest. A lower spf in winter but as of spring an spf 30 or 50 as I tend to burn easily and get brown spots.

I used to get freckles (which I love) but they seem to be more like age spots since I got older.

Finding the perfect moisturiser with a high enough spf is a struggle to be fair as a lot of them are either to greasy or leave a white cast on my skin.

Currently I am using a Kiehls one with spf 50 but whilst it's nice it's not perfect.

Annianni · 06/06/2014 10:53

I lost an 's' somewhere...
It's the 30 day shred
I hate Jillian Michaels and her flipping jumping jacks

shopafrolic · 06/06/2014 11:15

Anni thanks for the Pin. DH is currently in the dog house so I definitely intend to make the most of the NYC trip when we get there.
Parcel from the Outnet has arrived and I've sent back the AR silk dresses. Am going to retry the Boden swimwear later. I love the bikini top but not sure about the bottoms. The swimsuit is good on top, gives me a great shape but a bit loose round my bum so I may need to size down in that. Need to get a second opinion but there's no way I'm sending you lot pics of me in a bikini!

Shop did you get my pm response?

Anni, yes, I am definitely keeping the dress. It is absolutely gorgeous and looks great. It's a demure dress but really pulls you in at the same time. Dh will love it Wink so I didn't want to waste it just wearing it for work and we have been slightly ships that pass in the night.

We have a black tie party tomorrow and I am thinking of wearing it then with lots of bling to jazz it up.
