Finally showed dh the jumpsuit and black James Perse dress. Liked them very much, I am pleasantly surprised. Esp re the jumpsuit. Good one!

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2014 22:11

Santa agree on asos. They are bad, no phone number either.

Topaz that all looks really good.

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 22:30

DH , Robbie , Gucci .... Hmm....DH , Gucci, Robbie .... Hmm Robbie, Gucci , DH .... Hmm Gucci, DH, Robbie ... Brilliant night and it's only mon

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 22:32

Oh I've been to a Robbie concert. Might be in cool old fart but boy he's a good entertainer

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 22:33

Oops "ought be an old old fart"

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/06/2014 22:49

Sounds awesome dry! I bet he is brilliant in concert!

Topaz I love that Whistles skirt, I was considering it but told myself I already have a black and white pencil skirt Grin

Fab Theory dress Marsha, I love a proper slash boatneck.

Me+Em have 20% off a few things at the moment, we are expecting a proper sale sometime though right?

libertychick · 16/06/2014 22:56

Grin at Dry

Good news with DH liking the jumpsuit Marsha

Boo at AR Shop - they seem to get worse at sales time.

Great skirt Topaz, I have considered it a few times.

QueenC hope you feel better soon.

Santa I know I am in the minority but I love Harrods!

libertychick · 16/06/2014 22:57

Blair yes Me&Em usually do have a proper sale, no idea when though...

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 23:07

And my Paris scarf arrived today ....love.
Love Robbie! love scarf and DH ok really.
Ascot , Robbie and scarf in one week....I'm overwhelmed!Grin

maradesbois · 16/06/2014 23:32

Thanks for white swimwear advice, the one I was looking at sold out during my dithering anyway so maybe was for the best. I think maybe a violet lake one could be ok though as fabric really thick. Will see.

santa agree that harrods layout is a pain, I get lost in there too. There is a Spanish place in the food hall though that have lovely memories of from drinks & iberico ham with dh plus laduree (not that your dm needs to come from Paris for that!)

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 23:33

And, now that I'm home, I have a fashion catastrophe of the biggest proportions.
You are all aware that I'm going to R ascot this week. Picked up DH's suit and top hat today. Hired because it's our first time, will invest if we go again. Top hat is crappy.....grey, looks wrong. I want black and thought the sales man "I know what to wear at Ascot" knew what he was talking about.
Have called EVERYWHERE in my rubbish provincial town to get a black top hat...none to be had. HELP! Mn vogue if anyone can get me a black top hat size 7 3/4 I will be forever in your debt and will pay I'm staying in Central London so can pick up fri am. I'm desperate. REally HELP!!!!!

Sleepwhenidie · 17/06/2014 07:45

Hi Dry if you can book a hat from moss rods or similar in central London I should be able to pick it up/get it to you but how will you get it back Confused? Are you stayin in London after Ascot too?

Sleepwhenidie · 17/06/2014 07:47

Moss rods?! Cheap rate hire place! You want Moss Bros!

Fedupnagging · 17/06/2014 07:55

Any good Dry?
Amazon do top hats. Is there anything they don't do?

Have never seen Robbie but would love to; he seems such a loveable rogue.

Enjoy Harrods today Santa. I've not been for years.

shopafrolic · 17/06/2014 08:17

I love Harrods (fist bumps Liberty). Totally OTT. Have fun Santa
Dry can Grumpy help?
Nothing for me on NaP today - you'd think after all this time they'd have sorted the site crashing issue Hmm

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 17/06/2014 08:50

I went to Harrods on the first day of the sale with a small baby in a pram once. If there is a better metaphor for the 7th level of hell, I do not know of it.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/06/2014 09:36

I tried the same Amber tho not on a sale day you are clearly insane, came to the conclusion that they don't like prams in Harrods, it's impossible to get anywhere with one! I find it's great for looking at things and usually insanely wealthy, jewel encrusted people but not so much for actual shopping Smile

shopafrolic · 17/06/2014 09:52

So the khaki James Perse is going back to NaP. I am a size 3 - not a 2. It fits well on the chest, but the rear view is lumpy. I might order the 3 from ShopBop but if I'm honest, I'm not sure I love it enough. Something about it is not quite right...... shame.

Stokey · 17/06/2014 10:23

Great Skirt Topaz

Dry I work on Jermyn street, I'm sure there must be a top hat somewhere here. If you find one I can pick it up

Bought gigis and Trinas from Brand Alley as they had given me a £25 off voucher. Saw someone wearing the Trinas today and think they may be too big around the ankles (boney legs) but fingers crossed. Suspect Brand Alley is more like AR than Matches in its returns.

Gap sale on.

Hopefully · 17/06/2014 10:46

Shop what a shame about the JP. I am tempted to order too, but am so blobby ATM it would look terrible. When I'm a few lbs down, maybe.

Dry I am out in the sticks so no help in your top hat hunt, hope you get one.

shopafrolic · 17/06/2014 11:59

Hopefully if it was sub £100 I'd buy it in the right size but for the price I can't justify it. I've ordered this Splendid dress instead which I've had my eye on for ages. Hope it's the right red.

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 17/06/2014 12:07

I really like that Splendid dress Shop, have hovered over it myself.

I'd also like to put in a big 10/10 for Outnet customer service too! refunds and exchanges so fast and efficient - love.

santamarianovella · 17/06/2014 12:14

Thanks ladies,we are going there on thursday, and thank god for that, cant cope with harrods and frustrations of nap sales in one day! Smile

, Selfridges starts tomorrow, now this,I want to go to,only to the lower ground floor though, but can't tomorrow ,it will be madness and ,dd is off nursery tomorrow, might go on Friday,

dry wish I could help!but I absolutely have no idea where to look, hope you get it sorted,

shop lovely dress, more summery than the jp one,

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/06/2014 12:23

I know nothing about buying/hiring top hats dry, what about wedding shops a bit further out from your town? Good luck! And glad the scarf is nice.

Shame about the JP dress shop but if it's not perfect it's not good enough...! :) the splendid one is gorgeous, looks like a warm red to me.

Dune sent me an email notifying me about the Marant-alike sliders coming back into stock this morning so I snapped some up . Now sold out in my size Shock. I must say Dune website was a pleasure to use/check out quickly, which is good as I'm still avoiding Aldo Grin

Trying to browse NAP on and off, seriously considering booking the day off in future so I can have a proper look!
