When I left home yesterday it was hot and sunny hence wore sleeveless top and shorts. Totally didn't think to bring a change of clothes for today and in leeds it is pissing it down. Im going to be a drowned rat walking to the station. Total fashion fail!

Drywhiteplease · 15/06/2014 09:58

Sunflower yellow nail Hopefully sound great for summer. I know this is your third little one, and you've been there before, but don't put too much pressure on yourself to get back into shape....walking with the buggy is the best exercise.

MarshaBrady · 15/06/2014 10:00

Oh no QueenC, horrible when that happens! I always end up buying umbrellas in far flung places.

Dry lol. yes on the thread Grin. That does change it from actually getting on the nail varnish, as in imbibing

QueenCadbury · 15/06/2014 19:52

Wow, no posts since 10am??? Where are you all?

I am so glad this week is over. It's been pretty crap with my hormones, poor dd and then having a cold for the last 40th of my school friends. Had a massive argument with dh yesterday before going away (he couldn't come as on call) as I'm all over the place. I usually take antidepressants in the 2 weeks before my period but because it came ridiculously early I'd only taken them for a couple of days and then I became the person that I hate yesterday- the raving, wild lunatic who is scared of what I may do when the hormones take control. I haven't felt like that for months and thought I had it all under control with the meds and the sugar free diet. Obviously not. The good news is though that we have a second opinion for dd and he's going to scan her which is great.

Anyway, sorry to whinge and talk about non fashion stuff. On a fashion note I did love my blue dress!

LinusDKD · 15/06/2014 20:09

(((Hugs))) queenc

So sorry your periods are causing you problems again but good news about the second opinion for DD!

Not much fashion news here. I wore my Hush Breton dress for a bbq today and it has reminded me again of how much I love it. I wish they did it in other colours as I would buy the lot!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/06/2014 20:19

Hi QueenC - I'm here (for now). Not had much time to post lately, since laptop expired, phone is crap for posting and I was locked out of DD's laptop (but stole the password). Sorry everything has been so rubbish for you lately - hormones have alot to answer for - bastards. At least you have a lovely blue dress to smile about (small mercies).

I don't know what I'm looking forward to more this week - Royal Ascot or the season finale of Modern Family! Had a huff with DH this morning as we're now not going to Ascot on Tuesday as we have runners elsewhere and none at Ascot, so the pink dress doesn't get an outing. At least I get to wear it to my friend's wedding in July, so it wasn't money wasted. Took the Tory Burch dress I'm wearing to Ascot on Saturday to the alterations place in town and they've made a grand job of making it fit like a glove, which is just as well because they made an absolute bollocks of my jacket and trousers, but that's a long story for another day.

Need to do a reasonable catch up now - I've been away aaaaaages!

QueenCadbury · 15/06/2014 20:23

Thanks linus. I've found some new mates on menopause board so will try and confine my whinging to there Grin

Good to se you grumpy

QueenCadbury · 15/06/2014 20:24

Thanks linus. I've found some new mates on menopause board so will try and confine my whinging to there Grin

Good to se you grumpy

Fedupnagging · 15/06/2014 20:37

Queen, so sorry you are feeling so rubbish. I should probably join you on the menopause board as that is no picnic either AND apparently not drinking wine is supposed to help - how exactly?!

I was going to apologise for my radio silence this weekend but I find that no one is around. Hope everyone is having fun. My silence is due to dh deciding to update my iPad and accidentally returning it to factory settings Shock Sad. He is supposed to be an IT expert. Hmm. Have lost loads. (Yes, we did backups but the main computer died and stuff got lost/disappeared when dh installed new one. He is spending rather a lot of time 'looking' for stuff.)

So, spending hiatus has temporarily ceased and this is on its way.

Grumpy, enjoy the races. I remember your link to the TB dress and thought it looked lovely.

Dry, how is your hangover? Grin

OneLittleLady · 15/06/2014 21:03

Evening all

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough QueenC hope you feel better soon Thanks

I'm wearing my formerly, tightest pair of jeans today and they need to be binned. they are hugely baggy on the bum, thighs and knees so I need to start shopping for some smaller sizes

QueenCadbury · 15/06/2014 21:07

Not drinking wine Shock. I always said to myself that if giving up sugar didn't work I would have to try giving up wine. But I hadn't had a drink for a week so surely wine doesn't play a part in my symptoms .

hopefully I meant to say that I thought of you last night. I was out wearing a royal blue dress with a fuschia clutch. 18m ago I would have worn black with black to go out in so think you for introducing me to colour!

Drywhiteplease · 15/06/2014 21:15

I need to clarify that when I posted an obscure message at 18.57 last night about toe nail varnish, missing a key word, I was NOT under the influence , before 19hrs?Shock ....no! never before 21hr Grin liar

fedup I have no hangover today despite rather a lot of Chablis last night could be the paracetamol though.Wink

QueenC poor, poor you...feeling rubbish is bad enough but falling out with DH is an added pain. Really hope you get your hormones sorted. Good news about dd though.

Grumpy couldn't you wear your lovely blush dress on another day?whats your ladies day outfit? Tried on my hat last night, got it tangled in the light fitting ....ooops!

And you'll be relieved to hear that I have recovered from the flit flop trauma Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/06/2014 23:33

Not going on the Thurs Dry - it's my least favourite day for the races on the card and Ladies' Days make me die a little inside, wherever they may be (think gussied-up Christmas turkeys). I am quite sad about the pink dress though, because I had hired the most beautiful hat for that day and was looking forward to that particular outfit. Sad

BrandyAlexander · 15/06/2014 23:39

hi all! hope you had lovely weekends.
quick one for Shop....can you e mail me to remind me of which l'occitaine hand cream to get?

love to you all x

BrandyAlexander · 15/06/2014 23:44

Sorry meant to give extra kisses to QueenC. mwaaah. Thanks

BrandyAlexander · 16/06/2014 07:47

Morning all! A feast of travelling for me today. I had breakfast in London, will lunch in another city and then have dinner in a 3rd city. Wearing Hobbs red shift dress, black Hobbs jacket and RB shoe boots with Balenciaga. I tried to change bags at last minute but thought it better I got the cab!

Drywhiteplease · 16/06/2014 07:51

Do you sleep Novice? Shock sounds great though

Stokey · 16/06/2014 09:54

Gosh you are busy Novice - red shift Hobbs dress sounds lovely.

I went to lunch at friends house yesterday - nursery Mums who I don't very well - and was the only one not in heels. TBH felt everyone else was a bit OTT and I was the one who was properly dressed for a lunch in the garden with 9 kids! I was in boyfriends, white linen shirt & birkies - classic Sunday lunch combo in my head. There was one in particularly high heels spending all her time running after 1 y-old - looked very hard work, I almost offered her my birkies.

No shopping yet but Jones next door to my office have started their sale I noticed on the way in.

QueenCadbury · 16/06/2014 10:01

Mwaah back to you novice. How do you cope with such busy days? Makes me exhausted just thinking about it Grin

stokey I would have been dressed like you. I've realised that I'm more comfortable in my jeans and flats even if everyone else is in heels/dresses but will make effort with nice accessories instead.

I've just booked onto a stress and mood management course in July that my GP recommend to me ages ago. If that doesn't help controlling my violent moods then it's either give up wine, try HRT or divorce! This morning I've decided to sod the housework and be kind to myself. Still feeling rough with my cold so instead of my usual circuits class I'm spending the morning in bed with the iPad Smile

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2014 10:31

Stokey heels sound very difficult with all those children! I pretty much have a heels only when out without dc policy. Flats at work, flats with dc. I want to feel comfortable.

QueenC sorry to hear things are a bit stressful. The course sounds good.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2014 10:33

Novice good luck travelling.

Dry I would have guessed about you that you are only tipsy at the right hours Grin

I have been working all weekend, and have nothing to add. Although I am going on a shoe hunt tomorrow for sure. My flats situation is dire.

Ds is home not well, and he is handily taking ds2 through some lessons on the ipad. He's home schooling for me. Handy!

Annianni · 16/06/2014 10:35

Sam Edelman on brand alley today, lots of Trinas for £45 and gigi for £32.

They have some fab olive camo ones Shop.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2014 11:02

These yellow BR flats have a good discount.

Turquoiseblue · 16/06/2014 11:11

Quick de lurk to say hi! We re on holidays ATM, having a really super time. Weather is fab. though I m like a nutter following dc s around with water and sunblock
Lots of lovely sunny fashion here. Am hoping someone at work received my JP delivery last week, something nice to come home to. Not shopping at the moment - sales list has vanished somewhat. Though will link a few nice holiday bits I picked up before travelling if I can.
Lovely GR heels Marsha. really fab.
Dry enjoy ascot - remind me of the outfit again. flats sounds like a good idea though
Liberty - the AV dress is lovely on you.
Shop - I n still wearing orange pedi-
Someone at the poolside commented it was a lovely colour yesterday.
One well done on steady weight loss. You sound happy about it.
Queen, am guessing you already know about the ERIC website ? Hope dd is ok, and hope you feel better too. I did a mindfulness course recently, it s nice. Hope you enjoy your course and hope dh makes it up to you.
Lol at the afternoon tea with kids, whilst dollied up in heels, fed up, flats bf and shirt sounds infinitely more fun and appropriate. Though when it s your first dc.... I remember having difficulty finding the balance between my old style with my new lifestyle that involved swings and tunnels instead of garden seats and fizzGrin bet the next afternoon tea they ll dressed better.
Novice- I think you should stop off and have a drink withme here for a rest. That sounds incredibly busy.
Hello to everyone else
Love the al the links. Grin Will try add a few over the next while if ican

Stokey · 16/06/2014 11:18

Marsha Belinda on the workwear thread raves about how comfy the BR Carlies are. She's got the silver ones, which I covet.

Fedup meant to say I really like the navy Pliage. Girl at work has the small version of it, very nice.

QueenC have you considered a coil or implant? They can make your periods lighter and less hormonal I think.

Thanks for Gigi tip Anni
