I just need a wearing strategy. They stay wrapped up until I wear them and need to be handled with kid gloves. So I'll be the one with plastic bags over my feet at the mu

Mara your pic has reminded me I so badly need a pedicure - cannot find time to go for one so will have to do it myself this evening.

Fab shoes Marsha I'd have a 10 inch radius around me so no-one would step on my toes. Like the look you pinned Blair pool looks very inviting Mara reminds me I need to check out DL membership whilst the weather is good.

We had a lovely day yesterday, hopefully it might become a birthday tradition because I loved it! Tea at Sketch was wonderful,amazing food and they were so great with the DC's who loved the loos (required several visits), the hopscotch floor at the entrance and other bits of modern art (especially a film of a superman doll getting his head planed down all the way to his waist ). Then we took DD to Liberty to choose a birthday dress, which was really fun.

marsha I guess all of us at the MU can only eat and drink white things to protect your shoes? No glas of for me then.

My James Perse dress arrived today and it's lovely. I was a bit worried about the size and it did require a bit of wriggling to get it over my hips but once it was on it was perfect (which is strange but true, it doesn't feel tight at all once it's on) It is supercomfortable but does accentuate my mummy tummy a bit.

I actually put it on and didn't take it off again as it is perfect for a hot day like today.

Mine is still on too Linus !

At the MU we will need to ask for 13 bag stools and 1 foot stool

I'm a bit worried about them at the mu, you know what I'm like. I mean I could wear them to a nice drink - with my legs crossed nonchalantly so my foot shows, natch . But I have a tendency to get er quite tipsy at mus.

I'm joining the James Perse group too, and keeping the dress and two x ts. Shorts are going back.

Have realised my pedicure situation is dire atm - like you Liberty there's no chance of making time to go get one, but I might see if I can find some bright orange nail varnish in town tomorrow, I fancy orange toes.

I am dying in the heat in a tube skirt and t-shirt (and, currently, a baby in a sling, which isn't helping) in the absence of anything more appropriate to wear, but lovely friend is visiting tomorrow and has picked up a selection of cheapy boyfriend shorts for me to try and she will return any disasters.

I love the idea of teas at Sketch - I haven't been there. I might book that for my birthday...

Great to have a friend like that Hopefully. I have just started the pedicure process with the MN famous Soap and Glory foot file, sat at laptop now working ahem with layer of flexitol heel balm rubbed in.

Mara am v jealous of you lounging sitting by a pool and nice pedi.

My fake tan feet fail is looking marginally better today as sat outside yesterday scrubbing away. I then painted toes a really gorgeous but bright pink in the hope it will distract from dodgy tan .

Still not spending although was tempted by crops on sale at Boden. I need a couple of pairs for my holiday. Oh, was also tempted by a yellow bag on AR (inspired by Dry) but so,far have resisted.

So I collected my skirt from the alteration lady. Waist taken in, now fits like a glove. Very happy. Will wear tomorrow night with ouch a black slash neck, 3/4 sleeve cotton knit and of course the Disco, maybe my new necklace too. Think I need a gold cuff and quick........not sure about nails yet.

shop my outfit today is a homage to you......khaki skinnies! burnt orange silk top! love that colour mix.

Have just booked Sketch for my birthday - yay. Will have a day off work and drag DD and DH into London for afternoon tea. Very excited.
