Hope it fits shop, it s lovely.
I m considering these sweedish hasbeens anyone got a pair. Can you actually walk in them? I need to be Abel to walk in them and wear then lots! I had a tan pair of flat ones that weren't flexible (obviously) but think the heel ones are a bit nicer. Like this or nude or red I think

shopafrolic · 09/06/2014 17:18

Amber has Hasbeens I think.....

shop jp sizing varies, I have a couple of dresses in a 1 and I'm an 8 sometimes 6, and it fits perfectly,I think the ones I have are more body con as apposed to the one you ordered, which looks a bit loose, fingers crossed it fits,

turq ,I don't know,i think amber has some?? I might be mistaken

Turquoiseblue · 09/06/2014 17:59

Thanks shop.

Might go for a proper try on before I buy. I m really tired of returning stuff.

Annoying bit about ordering online is the faff xof returns.
In the last few weeks
ASOS camo skirt and flower midi skirt went back ( colour different to website photos, unlined with scratchy seams inside (camo) poor quality, horrible fabric to the flower one)
aR trousers (too short and wide at hips)
Sandro cami top - too pale
AR jumpsuit - no comment...

Baujken skirt - success (!) but I had some from before and knew size and fit.

Pita waiting on returns and refunds .... But then easier then schlepping around the shops with dc in tow trying to try on stuff!

Fedupnagging · 09/06/2014 18:01

Firstly, well done to Dry for your extreme sporting adventure on Sat.

Sounds like you all had a great weekend.

We went to stay with friends, left the dc's to their own devices and returned home to a pretty tidy house. I took skinnies and cropped trousers, superga's , new wedges and the fossil bag had its first outing.

Sleep, I love the a&o dress you linked.

Turq, i nearly bought some hasbeens but decided they looked too heavy! Topshop do a good lookalike though.

Loving all the JP links. Those dresses look soo wearable but sadly would not suit me.

I've not bought anything for a couple of weeks-waiting for the main sales and also saving furiously for our hols to the US where I intend to make a few lots of purchases.

AmberNectarine · 09/06/2014 18:04

I do indeed have a white pair. They're not the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned - I wouldn't want to be walking a long way in them.

OneLittleLady · 09/06/2014 18:47

fedup I've started saving now for our holiday to florida next year! I intend to do a lot of shopping as well as visiting theme parks and things. I have many family members to bring things back for as well so need extra spending money just for gifts! Most of that will be spent on disney things for the kids though as they are all still young enough to appreciate it

Todays outfit is a multi coloured peacock print chiffon maxi skirt and turquoise vest top. It rained really really heavily all morning with thunderstorms but was still very warm and now it's sunny

LinusDKD · 09/06/2014 18:49

Evening!

Impressive Outnet shopping everyone. I might have ordered the JP dress shop ordered but I ordered the navy one.

Sooo hot here today, I nearly melted.

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 19:57

Well I wore the être cécile dress to do the school pick up, so it's staying!

Mara I really like the tshirt dress shape, and have acclimatised to the graphic brightness.

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 20:43

This is a very pressing question of course. But what are everyone's thoughts on 'toe cleavage'.

I just want to hitch the end of these up here so they cover the toes. (But I am aware I like feet least probably of all people).
So badly that I bolded the word up.

What's your take on it, yay or nay?

Drywhiteplease · 09/06/2014 20:49

It can look very sexy Marsha..... but there's a fine line between sexy and fat feet falling out mine Grin

So, I just went on the Outnet to look at JP stuff sheep. Put 3 things in my basket, continued looking and one just disappeared!Shock did someone buy the lovely mint green sweatshirt from MY basket? Hmm
Tell me about returns? Is it all straight forward?

LinusDKD · 09/06/2014 20:51

I actually like a bit of toe cleavage. Not too much of course but most of my ballet flats show a bit.

Quick question: what's Gap sizing like? I am looking at a pair of denim shorts and have no idea what size to get. I am a 28 in most skinnies but a 26 in my Jimmies so I have no clue.

I have to order online so all advice is welcome.

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 20:52

Dry Oh bummer I know that green one, it's lovely. A nice DHL courier comes to your residence, or work, wherever it is delivered. And takes it away again. I find it the easiest of them all, as it doesn't involve the post office or printing labels.

Yeh the falling out thing is there. What was that sleb photo I saw where her foot was barely in the shoe? The little toe was out!

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 20:53

Linus I keep wanting to do a Gap order, but the sizing options put me off. Someone will know more I'm sure. I think it's bigger than you think it will be.

Hopefully · 09/06/2014 20:53

marsha they don't look excessively toe cleavagey. Not that I am bothered by it, or even notice it, but they look high enough up the foot for respectability.

Topazandpearl · 09/06/2014 20:57

I agree Marsha. They look somehow unfinished, or as if they are too big when there is toe cleavage. However my pink Dune shoes show a little as well and, although I'd prefer if they were a tiny bit higher, it didn't put me off. Does it look more modern, do you think?

Topazandpearl · 09/06/2014 20:59

Very x-post and very on the fence Grin

Drywhiteplease · 09/06/2014 21:02

Linus I think Gap is generous. I bought 2 pairs of shorts last year and the size I bought, in the US, was size Zero Shock Shock Grin I am NOT a size zero Grin wear a 26 in Gap.

Marsha tell your DH I've just bleached my loos and my Belfast sink, so satisfying he'll approve my house smells clean like a swimming pool
I'm with you on toes. Can't stand toes with no varnish, particularly at work, particularly middle aged freaky toes in FlitFlops at work.....really makes me feel odd Grin

Anni Bon Jovi in SATC....in bed with Carrie Shock

Drywhiteplease · 09/06/2014 21:04

Shop PM!

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 21:13

Haha Dry you have no idea, he'll love that Grin -considerably more than my Etre dress which he doesn't 'get'. Is it a dress? Is it a tshirt. It's a tshirt dress! Come on, it's easy.

Nail polish actually makes it worse for me as the brightness catches my eye. No one at work has ever seen my full foot. Someone commented once, pre-dc, that they hadn't. It's not happening!

Topaz Grin. Yes. I also wonder if the very low sides make people's feet look wider.

I can't do Louboutins as the shape is too dainty. It's all in the shape.

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 21:13

Thanks Hopefully and Linus, am taking a tally.

Drywhiteplease · 09/06/2014 21:19

But Marsha what do you wear on holiday? No Gigis/flip flops/sandals?

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2014 21:22

Ballet flats! On holiday I just stick with those. Although on the actual sandy beach I take them off.

I only wear flip flops at the local pool, as the floor is so grim.

LinusDKD · 09/06/2014 21:24

But your feet must be boiling marsha!

Will have a proper look at Gap tomorrow. Have to order from the US site which makes it even more complicated size wise.
