Evening...
novice I don't wish to stress you out or worry you but have you been seen by someone about your exercise induced hives? It's a recognised condition and you can go into anaphylaxis with it. Dh once had to call an ambulance for his friend who had just walked quickly up a hill to meet him.

Welcome toothy

Well, I survived the day! It actually was ok, about 80 people there and actually no none knew more than their immediate family so didn't feel too much of a Billy no mates. I didn't feel entirely comfortable in the dress but glad I wore it. dry, I'm glad that I didn't wear jeans as I would have felt out of place. My period started whilst there so now recovering with a medicinal baileys Grin because there's no white wine in the house Shock

QueenCadbury · 17/05/2014 21:30

dec what am I doing wrong. How do you get a man to agree that you need a bag Grin?
linus burpees are evil
marsha I tried the Nivea bb (or was it cc) cream but hated it as it felt too much like foundation. But I don't wear anything but powder.

santamarianovella · 17/05/2014 21:31

burpees the ugliest form of activity ever!

libertychick · 17/05/2014 21:33

Shop the timing was a total PITA! The workshop was supposed to run to about 4.30pm but everyone was so hot and bothered the tutor decided to cut it short. I debated doing a mad dash to Selfridges to shock Marsha at the beauty counters but decided then just to have a peek in a couple of shops on MBR and go home early. (pm Marsha BTW)

Yesterday I returned the Zara necklace. It is lovely but I tried to wear it practically every day last week and every time I changed my mind at the last minute and took it off. Not sure what it is but something about it just isn’t me Confused.

Treated myself to this Diptyque perfume today. Dona sent me a sample ages ago and I loved it. (Hello if you are lurking Dona) I have been using up all my old perfumes and they are finally gone so totally justified purchase. I am sat here smelling lovely!

Lovely dress Lollipop and welcome Toothy Smile

Gorgeous bag Decam, just lovely.

shopafrolic · 17/05/2014 21:39

Nice perfume treat Liberty
I can't stop sniffing the Tom Ford London that I tried. Will use up everything I own and then try and justify £140!

LinusDKD · 17/05/2014 21:40

I don't think burpees are for me then. ;-)

shopafrolic · 17/05/2014 21:40

Oh and sorry you got voicemail, I had no battery left. iPhone batteries are rubbish!

libertychick · 17/05/2014 21:44

Oh no worries Shop. I tried out Tom Ford Vanille Tobacco the other day and loved it so I'm going to buy it for DH for his birthday and occasionally use it myself Wink. I must try the London one - is it unisex do you think?

MarshaBrady · 17/05/2014 21:46

Liberty that would have been so funny, I could have done with your opinion actually! It would have been great to see you. I was slightly tipsy and getting foundation advice from rather camp men with more make up than me.

Decam what a gorgeous bag. Excellent choice.

Thanks for BB cream advice, I so rarely stock up on make up I don't really enjoy it and get so confused with the huge amount of options, so I promise that's it for now.

libertychick · 17/05/2014 22:32

And on other fashion news, I acquired Shop's too big J Brand Crofts - love 'em.

OneLittleLady · 17/05/2014 22:51

Had a good but long day out in the sumshine today, including lunch with my sister and a friend. Am thoroughly worn out but not sleepy. Lucky I opted for sunscreen today as it got up to 23 degrees today!Shock

Helped my Dsis pick out some clothes, she's really lucky that all this seasons pastels, corals and mints look great on her. I haven't bought a thing as pastels just don't work for me at all. I need black clothes, all black!!!

Drywhiteplease · 17/05/2014 23:36

Evening! OMG ....what a lovely night...not chilly at all. I've had one too many burgers (it's ok it's protein right?) and a sensible amount of white wine unusual Love a BBQ in the shed.

linus and santa I go to 4 gym classes a week. Sunday is kettle bells and always involves burpees. I'm quite fit now and can do press ups get me, Olympic gymnast or what? but after 2 years, when the evil terminator says the word " burpees" my heart sinks, my body does them but I feel dizzy and sick. Horrible torture of the nastiest kind quickly forgotten when I get my post exercise americano

Secretsquirrel13 · 18/05/2014 06:01

Morning all, heading out for my very last long training run and want to go before it gets too hot. I am in shorts and vest and hat today, likely replaced by a little dress and flip flops later.

Secretsquirrel13 · 18/05/2014 06:03

Just to add burpees- hideous ! I am not cut out for that sort if exercise!

BrandyAlexander · 18/05/2014 07:38

Morning all!

Welcome to Lollipop, love the pink dress. And also welcome to SoYo and Toothy as I am not sure I said hello!
Dry, did you really pay only £12 for that dress?EnvyShock
Marsha, Nars foundation is fantastic. It was my discovery 18 months ago and have loved it ever since. In the Spring and Summer I use the Nars tinted moisturiser.
Lib, love that necklace pity it didn't work out.
One, I disagree on the black!!! I think women overdo the black to play it safe, because they're not sure what they're doing or to "hide" if their not Kate Moss. Think about challenging yourself with a pop of colour - only a pop- with everything you wear, even if it's your accessories. You might just surprise yourself!

QueenC ShockShockShock I didn't realise exercise induced hives could be dangerous. I will go and see the doctor this week. The welts have gone now but am left with thready bumps that look like stretch marks and they take ages to go after an attack.

I think I will wear t-shirt and Ann Taylor white shorts today. Smile

QueenCadbury · 18/05/2014 08:43

Sorry novice, didn't mean to scare you! I think some of it is related to what you eat in the hours before exercising and from what I understand it's the combination of certain foods and exercise that can trigger the immune response Confused. I think our friend has to carry an epi pen now though.

one I agree with novice about not hiding in black especially in summer. Have you ever tried navy? It's my new favourite.

dry you are such a gym bunny. I wish I had more time to go to proper classes and I lack the motivation to always do it alone. Luckily I get to avoid the burpees in my circuits class as they're too high impact for me (knackered back through 3 pregnancies/SPD) so I just do squats instead.

QueenCadbury · 18/05/2014 08:45

No idea what to wear today. Need to drag my arse off the sofa to get to church (brownies and beavers church parade). Am suddenly panicking though that I haven't bought dh anything for his birthday and it's on the last day of our holiday which means I need to get something this week. Would love to get him a tan belt but so difficult choosing the right shade online.

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 08:53

Thanks Novice will check it out.

One you can definitely do colour, don't stick to black. I'm guessing you might be a winter? No idea really, but you look like you could wear purple?

shopafrolic · 18/05/2014 09:07

Morning all.
Liberty yup - London is unisex (I think they all are?). It has Oud in it, like Noir de Noir and Oud Wood and Tobacco Vanille. Apparently I am an Oud lover!
GAP shorts with M&S neon tee and camp espadrilles today - sun's out WOOOOOOP
GAP shorts are too big, so are the Hush shorts which I recovered from user the bed. In fact, everything is too big (and I have no money!). Off to start EBaying!

AmberNectarine · 18/05/2014 09:18

secret are you racing this week? I've stupidly got two 10ks in this week - Weds and Sun. Will go out tonight at about 8pm to dodge the heat as best I can - ran my commute on Thurs and almost expired, though I did get to look on all the windows down the Kings' Road.

shop haircut was good - so glad to have it shorter again, it looked such a mess before. Glad you and marsha had a good meet - can I jump on the bandwagon for the 5th or am I too late?

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 09:20

Never too late Amber it would be fab to see you! And anyone else that fancies it. Decam would be lovely to see you?

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2014 09:37

Novice I think I paid £28ish for the maxi before the sales, which is a bargain. It's the only maxi I have, it doesn't swamp me and is incredibly flattering and not at all clingy even though quite fitted.
Another lovely day.....will do the white skinnies and orange for another BBQ this afternoon.
queenc so glad your outfit was right for the family do, they're difficult things to dress for.

Turquoiseblue · 18/05/2014 09:47

oh no ! Coffee pot s broken, and the spare ....... have just ground beans so there s that lovely fresh bean smell wafting around me but no coffee pot! ah, so much for my sunday morning coffee and papI think ers. Dh is back from his run now so maybe we ll all go out.

Decam - Gorgeous bag.

Shop did you get the AH bag?

One- I bet you could wear more colours. you should experiment a little. It s nice to mix it up a bit! there s lots of colours i love but cant wear, so I ll add it in in my accessories or as an accent not close to my face.

Lolipop - great dress. What do you think you ll wear for shoes/ bag/ wrap etc?

Novice - eeek! get checked out. I ve had funny allergies since having DC too - to penecillin no less! (that was fun, not)

wore this dress to a party yesterday. with cream jaquard blazer and cream and gold shoes.

and today i m planning on this top with skinnies and supergas!

Am going to take inspiration from dry and fire up the BBQ too today. (so Dh can do the cooking)

Amber your evening outfit sounded lovely - as did the people watching.

QueenC - how was the party yesterday? I find Dh so difficult to buy for.

Secert - remind me, what are you training for? Hope long run went well.

I love exercise and the buzz after. Exercise most days, including proper 'training' 4 times a week. Was actually at a very interesting talk on how athletes 'cope' after retiring - missing the regular adrenaline etc can lead to real downers. interesting.

santa - I hate those high intensity short circuits class - i get confused, tired, overlay paced, and un co ordinated !

OneLittleLady · 18/05/2014 10:14

Ladies, I do wear colour I swear it! Just yesterday in fact I was in a denim coloured cotton maxi skirt and bright red sleeveless tee Smile I don't hide in black I don't think, I just don't suit what's in stores right now. marsha I can and do wear purple, it's my favourite colour in fact and always my first choice if something comes in that colour!

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 10:53

Ooh excellent One I'm glad I wasn't too far off the mark! Yes I can see that pastels wouldn't be right. You can do those rich, strong colours and I can see you in bright stuff - the cartoon young print which you do.
