No, pastels are definitely not right for me marsha they make me look positively ill in fact. Darker, richer colours and brights are my best, they make me look bright and glowy!

BrandyAlexander · 18/05/2014 11:14

Yeah for rich colours!

So I settled on a Desigual t-shirt which has a white background but with purple, red and orange print, with little Ann Taylor White shorts. Wore them to church with beige high heeled sandals, Elizabeth Cole swaroski ruby coloured bangle and raindance ring (yes still traumatised). Dh took one look, got a gleam in his eye and said I looked hot. Lovely to hear but not quite the look I was going for at Church.Shock. I do always have a little smile thinking of the MN Desigual haters when I wear something by them.Wink

Dry, it's a great dress and great price, though at under 5'2"(I only ever admit that I am not quite 5'2" on hereWink) I have a healthy fear of maxis!

OneLittleLady · 18/05/2014 11:52

Todays outfit is a post box red maxi skirt, black sleeveless vest with 'Bowie' written across it in red and gold, white lacy kimono top thing and peep toe leopard print flats. my waist looks very small in this!

LollipopViolet · 18/05/2014 12:31

My outfit today is a pair of Bench 3/4 length khaki cargo trouser things, and a bright pink vest top which has a flowery lace pattern over the top, IYSWIM?

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2014 12:32

I have a length prob too novice which is why I'm delighted with this one! and belted hitches it up a bit

shopafrolic · 18/05/2014 13:10

Amber never too late. Will be great to have you with us. Glad haircut was good. I'm unsure with mine if I look like a boy.
Too much wine with lunch
Bag looks to be out for Tuesday delivery, I'm beyond excited having seen it IRL.

Shop not at all, your hair looked great.

I am convinced mine is too long at the front and am tempted to get them to fix it. I said collar bone and it's below, ok not buy much but I have a very small window of acceptable hair length and don't want to go back again that soon. Plus it is bugging me.

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 14:20

Ahem by

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 14:21

Novice you wear it well, and I loved that pretty dress you wore to a mu.

Fedupnagging · 18/05/2014 14:30

Lovely day again ladies, hope you are all enjoying yourselves. Am sitting in the garden squinting at my ipad! Dh, who should be varnishing the table is snoring beside me Hmm

Linus it would be great to see you at the MU - and everyone else. I'm another slightly apprehensive newbie too.

Dec what a fab bag. Lucky you.

Lovely dress lollipop and hi to toothy.

Thanks for the hair advice Liberty and SoYo. I picked up a shampoo and conditioner from Boots Naked range, paraban and sulphate free and along with the pink curl cream, my hair is not looking too frizzy now.

So, this finally arrived and doesn't suit me at all. It's too big and the pink background is a very neon pink. Am v disappointed as love it on the website.
This is also on its way back. Too short and terrible fabric.

Ordered this on a whim as pictures on skirts is so not me but it's lovely so will keep. It's a little big but if I size down will show my 'had 3 kids and eaten to much tummy'. Oh, it also needs taking up an inch or so. It's still a lovely summer skirt though.

Hi everyone, I am wearing a fluffy robe and mnetting from my bed in Boulder, Colorado. I am here for the conference closing my course, I can see snow capped mountains out of my window, very beautiful. I got quite excited about there being a mall right next to my hotel (am literally here from when the conference started on Friday and back on the plane tonight) but was very disappointed, a tiny JCrew and Nordstrom full of teenage tat..it seems Boulder is not a fashion mecca Sad.

Shop glad the bloods came back ok and well done on the bag.

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine!

QueenCadbury · 18/05/2014 15:07

Hey sleep, have a good time. I've meaning to ask you about sparkling water. Is it bad for you as it's fizzy or is it ok? I've been drinking a glass or two as I find it more refreshing in this heat than tap water but not sure if it's best avoided?

I'm wearing navy top, navy shorts and navy gladiator sandals (the Moroccan ones). Love them. Wore the pink ones the other day but the strap at the back has stretched and so now they slip off.

shop don't eBay too much as hopefully you'll put the weight back on. Or are you planning on keeping it off?

Dh has just bought the mail Shock. Should I LTB?? Apparently he bought it for the 5:2 diet magazine in it Hmm.

QueenCadbury · 18/05/2014 15:10

Phew. Dh has bought the ST too so I don't have to leave him Grin

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 15:18

Grin QueenC quite.

I've just had to get more BBQ stuff as apparently I didn't get enough (I got loads). Luckily Dh's enthusiasm cracks me up.

MarshaBrady · 18/05/2014 15:19

Meant to say that sounds gorgeous Sleep.

Secretsquirrel13 · 18/05/2014 15:33

Shop this is late but agree with bag buy it and sell on the one you don't use. Sell something else to make up the difference then it's effectively a free new bagGrin did you ever sell the mini gracie? That would raise funds plus a bit for shopping.
Amber, racingGrinGrin I think of it more as plodding along- big race a week today in a far northern city (should be cooler). Turquoise it's 13 miles I'm training for. Amber I practically expired today, it really affected pace and my mood.
Lovely day here, lamb roasting in the oven and dc behaving themselves for once.
I think I'm going to put together an eBay pile - haven't done it for ages.
Whoever linked that citrine ring (guessing novice!) it's beautiful, love it!

shopafrolic · 18/05/2014 15:40

Waves to Sleep - happy graduation! :)

Secretsquirrel13 · 18/05/2014 15:47

Sleep just seen where you are- wow enjoy the scenery despite the poor shopping.

BrandyAlexander · 18/05/2014 16:03

Waves to Sleep! I was thinking of you yesterday lovey. So chuffed for you. Smile

Secret, yes, I linked the ring. I have form for wearing really blingy stuff on a normal day, so there it was yesterday going about my usual Saturday stuff in town wearing my big blingy ring. Classy!Wink

shopafrolic · 18/05/2014 16:22

I just spent half an hour building a train track of awesome proportions for DS and he's buggered off to see DH with a book
Still, at least I get to read ST Style.....

OP posts:
Fedupnagging · 18/05/2014 17:37

Sleep that sounds like an amazing view. Also, sounds like you've done something pretty amazing too so well done whatever it is.

Grin Shop my ds's used to do that too. Am still reading yesterday's Times and specifically about the cosmetic surgery women are having on their feet so they can wear high, narrow fashionable heels. A step too far....?

Have broken 3 nails today, whilst doing hanging baskets and pots despite wearing gloves. Am having a manicure on Weds so am rather hacked off about it. Grrrr!

Sleepwhenidie · 18/05/2014 18:32

QueenC Shock at DM, I'm afraid yes you do have to LTB Sad. Re fizzy water, you'll find arguments against but in the grand scheme I'm not sure it's something worth stressing about - relax and enjoy, better than sweet or diet drinks. Have some fresh lime squeezed in, electrolytes and all that Wink.

Drywhiteplease · 18/05/2014 19:49

Ooooh Sleep sounds fab.
Shop train track building is one of my fortes....but I used to get a bit OCD about it and get stressed when it would get broken Sad

SHOCKING fashion news brace yourselves ladies....I know I will find solidarity and sympathy here.
So......off I went to today's afternoon BBQ in an incredibly gorgeous country pile in my white and orange ensemble Anni love my orange, bargain Gigis and thought I'd bring Nancy .i arrived and found an empty chair for her and then proceeded to mingle etc whilst keeping an eye on her from time to time. Got caught up in a boring convo with a friend's tedious husband when I saw she was on the floor Shock started twitching.....then someone sat on her chair Shock blah blah blah yawn snore twitch then the person stood up to lean over to reach the delicious desert and STOOD on her Shock Shock that was IT
" I'm so sorry to interrupt you you boring git but I need to rescue my hand bag" and practically jumped across the table and retrieved her.
Seriously ...floor...foot....what's wrong with people these days?!!!!!!!!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/05/2014 19:53

Hello all, hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine! I caught the sun earlier on my shoulders from being in the car with roof off luckily had SPF on my face or I'd be Blush too.

fedup that sounds shocking, but I have to admit I have looked at my feet before and thought they'd fit in shoes so much better if only I could chop my little toes off Grin

Sleep how fab and well deserved too, hope you're having a nice time (shame about the rubbish shopping).

Love the bag Decam it looks buttery soft.
