Fedup I nearly threw the iPad out of the window tonight as I couldn't scroll through pages - didn't realise it was MN. Interesting......
Lollipop good luck with the interview (not sure if I said that, sorry - sidetracked by swimwear!). What's the job? (if you want to tell that is?)

Haven't posted for last few days as have been desperately trying to finish a big project for my course that have been working on for couple of months. Finally handed in today, yaay! Just been celebrating with couple of glasses of champagne but apart from that have been mega healthy all week as only realised when I got home how much weight I've put on over last 2 months.

liberty know how you feel, am really frustrated with myself too, couldn't even fasten button on my trousers today that fitted fine before Easter. That was the catalyst I needed, my aim is to lose at least a stone before the mu (only because I need a focus date, not because I think you won't accept larger voguettes!)

linus well done, you're a poster girl for 5:2! Hope you get your mu flight booked soon. I was on the 5/6 borderline on honeymoon but been yoyo-ing ever since pregnancy. Back on 5:2 this week and enjoying it. Can't wait to get back to gym too.

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2014 23:29

Hands up all lurkers, I'd like to count you.
How many people do you think read this thread? Is there any way of finding out? Curious. MNHQ. A woman was giving me a funny look this evening ginger hair, in a box, please wave and I got all paranoid that she'd spotted me. That or maybe she was just dazzled by my incredible gorgeousness Grin

Love Pepos Pig Queen
And all the bags Linus
Just tried to calculate my weight in kilos.....102 Hmm must have gone wrong somewhere Grin

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2014 23:30

She wasn't in a box, as in cardboard, in a theatre box......just wanted to clarify.

shopafrolic · 29/05/2014 23:37

Dry I do love you. How would she have known it was you? You didn't post what you wore did you?
Am slightly scared MNV has unintentionally turned into a weightloss thread! Hmm.
Mara no judging at MUs, none at all - which is why I love them so.
Night all MWAH x

Morning. Too many links to catch up on at the moment. Sorry for the random peppa pig. I couldn't post anymore as was getting ready to go out for a birthday meal with mr Cadbury. Lovely food and lovely evening. Will catch up properly at some point.

Morning, I have been deep in a project so haven't been posting much.

I am keeping the belt and sent back the sunnies. They just weren't perfect so not worth the £££

I have the wedding tomorrow, and gasp not ordered a dress. So unless Liberty starts its preview on Saturday so I can skip into town before leaving, I'll have to find something here, eep! I just haven't had time. But at least they are all people I haven't seen for years and years so they will have no idea what is old or new.

shopafrolic · 30/05/2014 09:08

Good call on the sunnies Marsha
Hope the work is going well. Eeek about the wedding but at least it's not people you've seen recently.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 30/05/2014 09:11

Oh it will be fine. I have plenty, I think, I might go for a pleated navy one with the new Marant teal belt, and hmm maybe Bruno shoeboots for comfort over heels. I don't think anyone will care, it will all be about the seeing cousins I haven't seen for years and years.

Is that vogue enough? probably not! Grin

MarshaBrady · 30/05/2014 09:12

How are you feeling Shop?

shopafrolic · 30/05/2014 09:16

So so lovely, so so......want this cold to do one
Outfit sounds good.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 30/05/2014 09:42

I've just ordered this silk dress in an effort to emulate this look. It's gone on the CC so need to get EBaying again!
The fact I am not tanned, and have short dark hair means I am dreaming..... but a girl can dream right?

OP posts:
Turquoiseblue · 30/05/2014 10:07

Lovely dress shop.
Marsha - sounds good, and if you haven't caught up in a while, no one s the wiser as to what s new or not! Enjoy it.
Ok so, serious talk. Am kitted out today in white zara skinnies, snakeskin brogues, grey Bella rose silk loose l/s top, whistles (light)grey sweater over, kooples blue/ black leopard print (subtle) scarf and new earrings, love the look, but finishing it all off with ...... A rucksack, cos I have DC with me and we re heading to swim lessons after outing.....
Need to rectify large day bag/ carry all..... MNV heeeelllllpppp please ?!!

libertychick · 30/05/2014 10:23

A grey le pliage Turq? Outfit does sound lovely.

libertychick · 30/05/2014 10:58

30% off at GAP until 1st June

QueenCadbury · 30/05/2014 14:00

Phew, I've managed to catch up.

stokey my go to day bag tends to be my grey banana republic tote or occasionally my john Lewis navy tote as they tend to go with whatever I'm wearing and fit lots of stuff in. If I'm on my own or just need keys/phone I use a cross body bag and have emerald, fuschia, red or stone. I really want a grey cross body bag but the search continues after deciding the white stuff and mint velvet weren't right.
shop have you checked m&s for swim suits? I really love the one I got from there and is v flattering. If abroad though I prefer a bikini and try and get high-ish pants to cover the worst of the stretch marks. My tummy wobbles but it's had 3 kids and considering that I don't think it looks too bad.

SoyYo · 30/05/2014 15:45

Hi Voguettes!! long time no speak.
Went away for long bank hol weekend to NL, to see old friends (we lived there for a few years), on DH's Harley! Hadnt been on it for a long ride in ages but it was such fun! And got to wear my new Muuba biker for the HD party, Frank Thomas gear for riding on the bike which you wouldnt be in the slightest bit interested...

It was fab to catch up with dear old friends, chew the fat and also managed to mess about in their boat on the Sunday.
The weather was sunny, warm so it was a shock to get back.
Still managed a quick pop into Vroom & Dressman (Dutch Dpt store) as was looking for a belt for my too loose round the waist skinnies...and quelle surprise! There was a Desigual sale on so quickly picked up the following:

www.desigual.com/en_GB/womens-clothing/tshirts/prod-ollga-40T2408?selectedColor=2000 (black version) It was only 30 euros.

AND

www.desigual.com/en_GB/womens-clothing/tshirts/prod-alacant-40T2478 (black version) only 38 euros.

Judging by the website sale prices I did well Smile, and they look fab with jeans (the second one is long enough to wear with 3/4 leggings).

What else? finishing off ppt for my Paris trip next week, and the following arrived while I was away:
On 20% disc from White Co all the Tshirts are keepers, soft and will go everything this summer (even under work suits):
www.thewhitecompany.com/clothing/tops/white-tshirts/slim-fit-linen-tshirt/
www.thewhitecompany.com/clothing/tops/white-tshirts/drop-sleeve-tshirt--white/ also in navy and all lovely!

Then disppointing Boden purchase (as is usual for me, have almost given up on them) thought would be good for the beach/garden but returning (wont bother to link) denim shorts and lace panel t shirt in navy. Both look like sacks on me.

Linus that blue Muuba is stunning!! Please dont tempt me as DS2 is 18 this Sunday and while we were away in NL he split up with long term girlfriend so it has been all teenage agnst at home this week. Poor poppet. DH thought the boy deserved a BIG present since it is his BIG birthday and came with huge parcel from Apple shop yesterday. Don't ask but it is hugely expensive so no more shopping trips for me for a few weeks (or months!).

Sorry for long post it is just so nice to see all the lovely things you keep posting. xxx

shopafrolic · 30/05/2014 16:10

What about a rucksack Turq?
Or yes to a Le Pliage.
QueenC the only time I've ever worn M&S swimsuits abroad I always see other people wearing the same ones so had given up. I think I'm going to try the Boden one (maybe bikini and one piece), just checking out codes....
SoyYo bike trip sounds fun (scary too!). I came off the back of a bike in my twenties and have never dared to go back there.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 30/05/2014 16:18

Oh and my other outnet, amazon and Asos (the Muubaa quest remember) have all been refunded! Just as well with the Apple massive box hiding in our bedroom...

SoyYo · 30/05/2014 16:25

Hi shop, DH has been riding all his life...had serious bike accident 5 years ago (old boy pulled out in front of him, usual story) so now I ask him not to ride everyday, but it is like asking someone who has a car accident not to ever drive again. Anyway, HD's are the best fun! (there are 3 in our garage...LOL!).
Must get my head back to my presentation for next week.
On swimsuits do check out figleaves.com they have a huge selection there.
I have a Boden swimsuit and it is good quality (from a couple of years ago), they are fast at refunding and shipping so no worries there.

Stokey · 30/05/2014 16:54

Thanks for all the bag porn Linus
I do love cobalt, but already have two cobalt bags so need something else. I don't want a tote as have a Le Pliage and Les Planetes now and need something with a zip as keep losing stuff.

I like the size of the Natasha one as it's big enough to carry book, wallet etc without being too weighty. One of my cobalt ones is a Tabitha bag with loads of studs and weighs a ton even when empty.

Parked outside house on phone as both dds asleep in the car. does anyone else do this or am I mad ?

SoyYo · 30/05/2014 17:12

You are not mad Stokey we've all done it...specially with young DC's! enjoy them while they are young, and quiet...and sleeping...Grin

Stokey · 30/05/2014 17:39

Glad to know others have been there SoyYo. Have got them inside now after 2 yr-old had tanturm on the street outside the car and have calmed them down with TV - they've just got into Yo Gabba Gabba which reminds me of 90s clubbing.

I like the Desigual t-shirts - I've got a dress by them similar to the black one.

And that swimsuit is lovely Shop particularly in the orange.
