Let's talk workwear. Maybe a little bit of non workwear fashion chat, too.

My blog is at theworkwearedit.com but our chat goes above and beyond that.

I also wonder about the scuba stuff, nice and stretchy but looks like you could BOIL in it. Lather, sweat, etc etc. I rather like the look of this tho.

TroyMcClure · 13/06/2014 16:25

Got lots of lovely compliments about skirt

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/06/2014 16:53

I wore a maxi skirt to work today - snake print. Felt so nice to not have tights on!

Bearleigh · 13/06/2014 23:01

Has Lisa Armstrong been looking at Belinda's blog or reading this thread?:

noddyholder · 13/06/2014 23:08

None of these shoes are what you would call man bait Shock

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 13/06/2014 23:25

Bearleigh Smile - I agree with some of the statements, but let's just say that Lisa Armstrong and I have different taste in workwear.

That Lisa Armstrong article is very unhelpful

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/06/2014 09:30

Rubbish article - those duster coats look like the housecoats my nana used to wear!

This looks as if it might be nice.

TroyMcClure · 14/06/2014 10:30

Remus. Did I tell you I got the trews?

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/06/2014 10:33

Remus - that black HOBBS top looks great. Have told a friend, who is looking for something similar.

As I type this I wonder why I am doing so but here goes...

My mother has purchased this for all her smart things although once seen never forgotten and it is Per Una and* a duster coat type but it is grudgingly nice
shock

KarlWrenbury · 14/06/2014 11:25

meh - these PU moments creep up on you

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/06/2014 11:32

The matching HOBBS skirt looks nice, too www.johnlewis.com/hobbs-london-seren-skirt-navy/p1445227?navAction=jump

I included a Speziale bag in my monochrome blog post, after seeing it in the store. Was quite startled to see something so good in that range.

lol at shouty HOOOOOOBBBBSS

got some shorts for s3 that were on delay. the black broderie tee (and indeed the white although black looks posher) came that I had shoved in.
Are pretty nice. Size DOWN www.next.co.uk/x532192s1
I have slung load of stinky old summer tops from the loft that i get out year on year. I am like the Pol Pot of tees

KarlWrenbury · 14/06/2014 11:39

that IS Nice
I wore some Boden heels to work yest that are perfect summer work shoes.

kind of a beige mink suede with a peep toe and lovely padding. Think were maybe last year, but go with everything.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/06/2014 11:46

Annoying ipad turns all my brand names into capitals, as that's how I write them on Pinterest. Makes me sound deranged on MN threads.

The Next tops look really nice. Pol Pot due to ruthless purging?

I still find myself unable to wear wide skirts in anyway I think it is my legs
they look like pull cords on a lampshade

KarlWrenbury · 14/06/2014 12:04

yup
Year 0

noddyholder · 14/06/2014 12:29

Took back gingham blouse to Zara and bought a jumpsuit amazingly flattering and elegant

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/06/2014 15:00

How were the trews, Troy?

Question - do people wear sandals to work, or are you a closed toe only type? If yes, what sort?

KarlWrenbury · 14/06/2014 15:27

Lovejy keepers I wear sandals. Our school is quite casual.
