Hello all Smile
Been lurking, busy times not getting to log in much.
Would love the MU in July. I might be able to do one later in the year as have a tentative plan for a London catch up with old friends, be lovely to meet new friends too.
Am on the hunt for blackest of black skinny jeans - super soft, ankle length (am 33 leg) not Ts baxters, anyone seen any ?
Can I just say I am pretty sure ST style journos lurk on MNV.

shopafrolic · 24/03/2014 08:13

Are you outing yourself as an ST jour no Turq Hmm
Aaaarrrrgggh - get rid of these bloody side bar adverts MN!! I do not need to see Haven holiday adverts while talking all things fashion. First the Outnet - now MN. SICK OF IT.
Morning all. I had a very productive time yesterday doing a wardrobe clear out. Feels good.
Still not sure about my Channeling Dry look. So not used to wearing a necklace but am persisting today with orange Whistles sweatshirt, Goldsign Lures, COS necklace and assorted Tokyo Jane rose gold bracelets. UGG boots ATM as it's blooming freezing here.

Ha ah no shop! God if you knew my profession- it s far from journo and fashion :-(
Just reckon that MNVoguettes are inspirational that s all! Love your new footwear by t he way especially the LKB ones, perfect for summer.
Marsha love the orange jcrew, don't think it s too bright for a summer wedding but if it s a black tie / formal affair the style if the dress itself may not be formal enough- though you should try it with heels and accessories and see.
Stokey I ve ordered a mini Gracie in green :)
One - congrats on the weight Loss, and your ds sounds brave and adorable. What kids of tops do you like?
Liberty - hope you re feeling brighter today, I find it difficult to manage stress- exercise meditation a super dh and realising the world will not stop turning if I step off the carousel for an hour or two has helped me gain some perspective but it still gets on top of me sometimes , hope you re ok. Love the allium b dress - don't you just want to swirl in it?! Hope the tops work out.
No fashion news really - picked up this skirt for a steal and cos I needed cheering up last week and oasis was the only store I was close to here

Turquoiseblue · 24/03/2014 09:13

Oh and thanks everyone fr the nice Paddys day greetings last week Smile

OneLittleLady · 24/03/2014 09:15

Turq I'm not really sure what kind of tops I want. I used to go for just big shapeless baggy stuff as I was convinced it hid my body but now I realise that it just made me look bigger than I really am so I'd like something floaty but not baggy IYSWIM? I do like sheer materials that I can wear vests under (not brave enough to go with just a bra) not keen on sequins on top but I do like small embellishments. I prefer sleeves, as I still have 'baggy' arms, though not bothered if short or long. I like deeper colours, blacks, purples, deep greens and blues. Silver suits me more than gold, probably because I have cool toned skin rather than warm. High street budget really.

Stokey · 24/03/2014 10:44

Lovely tops Liberty especially the tile one
Kindle is about the same length as a long wallet - 17cm x12 - I think it will fit even if i have to jettison wallet & carry loose cash & cards!
I always want red bags but have so many other red clothes that I end up clashing, maybe I need a green one like Turq?

Turq I've just bought Gap skinny black jeans
Haven't received them yet but they get quite good reviews on here and not ££
Also bought the boyfriends (thanks Umlauf)

shopafrolic · 24/03/2014 10:59

Stokey I've just tested and my Gracie fits my Kindle.

OOh great - thanks Shop

Someone was looking for shades a while ago and liking these snakeskin ballet flats
Anyone feeling bold enough for yellow skinnies?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/03/2014 11:26

Morning all

shop love the wardrobe pic, very neat and organised! There's something really satisfying about a tidy wardrobe Grin and yours is about the same size as mine well apart from the overspill wardrobe in spare room.

One what about boxy slightly structured t-shirts, so not loose but not tight, and they tend to skim over everything, I find them really flattering. They have nice ones at Warehouse, like this for instance, just needs a nice necklace!

So I'm officially pissed off at Royal Mail - admitted they have lost my Aldo parcel and don't even seem that sorry. I'm complaining to Aldo as my contract is with them and hoping they will send me another pair for free. Argh!

Interesting about ST journos... maybe they will want to do an article on the MN Voguette trendsetters?! (ie shop) Wink

Turquoiseblue · 24/03/2014 11:49

Stokey will you let me know how they go - if they re good I ll try them next weekend, think I. Going to get a bit of time next sat am.
I need s few white t shirt too have ordered with baujken this am to try.
Wrt to boyfriends - I have a park of massimo Dutti jeans - straight leg I ve never been totally enamoured with the fit but they look fab as BF s - plus they re lovely denim - am backin love with them.

shopafrolic · 24/03/2014 12:10

I'm going to sell two Mulberrys - the Ledbury in printed Oak and a tiny bag called the Magdelene. I've managed to find receipts for both.
Stokey sounds as though the red Gracie is not for you so I'll list that too. Let me know if you change your mind.
Went to pick up the new babies this morning. It's still love so all good.
Beautiful crisp sunny day here so first outing for the Tom Ford sunnies.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 24/03/2014 13:27

Bloody hell! I listed the Ledbury on EBay half an hour ago and it's already sold! I bought it for £315 and put a £250 buy it now price on it. Someone snapped it up. Kicking myself that I should have marked it up higher. Oh well, that's the sunnies paid for!

santamarianovella · 24/03/2014 13:35

Wow! shop that is not bad!

shopafrolic · 24/03/2014 13:50

I think I may have messed up Santa - they seem to now be selling over the price I originally paid for it but never mind. It means a bag I've had for 3 years only cost me £65!

OP posts:
Umlauf · 24/03/2014 14:42

Omg shop I am in awe of your wardrobe! I have to do something about mine... Well done on the Ledbury sale!

Ooh hello STS journos! Wink wink.

What do you think of this bag ? It was on bum40 and I can't decide whether it looks nice or grannyish. It's cheap for leather, and don't want to put all my baby rubbish in my mulberry bags, plus I like the cross body-ness.

libertychick · 24/03/2014 14:43

Well done Shop. It may have gone for more but £250 is a good price to get so quickly.
Thanks for the sympathy Turq. I do want to twirl when I put on the Allium B dress Smile.

LinusDKD · 24/03/2014 14:54

I've not had time for a catch-up yet but I am starting to feel better.

Just wanted to day that my Hush order finally arrived today and (apart from the extortionate customs duties Angry ) I love both items.

this dress is lovely.

I was surprised at the low back which is not really visible in the pictures due to the model's long hair but it looks fine when I wear it (I am a bit self-conscious about my back as I have a lot of moles and birthmarks)

this jacket in pink is great as well.

At first I didn't like the fact that it was quite thin as I was expecting something like my knitted jacket from Boden last year, but it is actually nice to wear and a lot less bulky than the Boden one. I might be tempted to buy the blue one as well in the sales and have it sent to DPIL to avoid customs duties

Oh and the pink stripe is the same colour as in the pictures, not like my yellow neon tee Hmm

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2014 15:20

Umlauf I've ordered that very one in lime. I think it's kind of Coach. Will let you know what I think.

santamarianovella · 24/03/2014 15:22

shop I sold my bayswater bag for 380,, and considering I had it for more than 6 years,it was not a bad price at all,Cost per wear ,and all that,

linus I love love that jacket,I like it in blue, the dress looks great.
Shame about the duties,

Umlauf · 24/03/2014 15:23

Oh yes please amber I love the lime. I like all the colours so not sure which id go for. Let me know what you think of it Smile

Umlauf · 24/03/2014 15:31

Oh, and I meant to all about the leather shorts. Did you keep them? I'm still struggling to style them!

Stokey · 24/03/2014 15:41

Woah great sale Shop amazing

Am so conflicted about the Gracie, love it but think I really need something a little bigger that can double as evening & day

And am meant to be topping up ISA this month rather than buying handbags.. although your ebay example shows a much better rate of return than 1% interest rate Grin

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2014 15:51

I did indeed, I've worn them a couple of times, once with a red/white Breton and black pistols, another with my Peter Pilotto for target tee and pointy ankle boots.
