Shop if you like the sound of it there's an exhibition on at the Halcyon Gallery on New Bond St Dale Chihuly - glass sculpture, I'm hoping to get there this month, looks stunning.

My wedding day was very low key...me DH and 9 members of immediate family at the church around the corner, picnic in the church garden, pub down the road and dinner in the restaurant we met in (fantastic and v romantic one, by lucky chance). It was so relaxed, loved it. We then had 70 friends and family out to the Alps for a bank hol weekend of 3 nights of partying and stuff like white water rafting, horse riding, mountain biking or sitting by a pool with the kids. Was fab. My dress for the wedding was a very simple Armani evening dress with full length veil and for the main party in France, halfway up a mountain in a ski restaurant, I had a gold dvf dress and Gina heels (trashed on decking).

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2014 10:03

Loving the weddings!
Shop wish I Was there Sad

The best bit about my wedding was English ILs UKIP members, pure Anglo Saxon, very conservative, bloody fascists meets French mob garlic eating, red wine drinking Bon viveurs . Speeches in both languages, bit of Franglais......best man told a rude joke about the Queen in French/English which the Fr loved ILs Shock . French joining in a barn dance without being able to understand tha caller! A mental day! Loved it so much. My Father was amazing.

MarshaBrady · 22/03/2014 10:32

Aw Shop Sad. It's very rare that dh does all day stuff on a Sat. Let me know your next hair app and I should be able to make that one.

Love these weddings, very gorgeous.

MarshaBrady · 22/03/2014 10:49

I have no idea if Brand Alley is ok to use yet. But they have Sam Edelman pettys for £36!

But I think I'm the only one here that buys them.

Sleepwhenidie · 22/03/2014 11:07

Shop I was hoping to pop and see you for a coffee but Ds2 has been throwing up this morning and DH isn't well either so I'd feel too bad leaving them. Looks like night out this evening needs cancelling too Sad.

Annianni · 22/03/2014 12:26

Hope they get better soon Sleep.

I've just collected my jeans from the sorting office and there's a custom's sticker on the packet, explaining about the fees...

I've not been charged any customs fees or taxes but I have been charged VAT, plus royal mail charge an £8 handling fee.

Not sure if handbags would be different to jeans, but that's easy to work out how much extra your bag would be.

shopafrolic · 22/03/2014 13:11

Sleep I hope they feel better soon. DS had an upset tummy again last night. Rotten bugs around.
Hair done, same style as last time. And I've treated myself to new sunnies. Can't link but they are Tom Ford Jennifers in brown. Just grabbing a bite to eat and will then head home. Enjoying the peace......

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2014 15:54

Hope they recover soon Sleep and that you recover your energy novice.
Glad you have had a good day shop.
Our wedding was 25 Shockyears ago and was a lovely, lovely day. The pics look so dated now but I loved my flouncy meringue of a dress at the time. I still have a soft spot for it as I remember how good I felt in it!
Enjoy the quiz winding friend up dry.
By the way, got these yesterday and love them both. Hilary Rose mentioned the top in Times magazine today (and I'm feeling smug as I got it at a discount). There was also an article on flat ugly shoes e.g. Birkenstocks.

The star of Africa diamonds are bigger than the Koh i noor, they're all in the crown jewels anyway unless Novice has got her mitts on them

OneLittleLady · 22/03/2014 22:55

I've had the best day today. Went to watch DS perform in a huge concert at City Hall and then we went out, just the two of us, for tea. He gave me the loveliest mother's day card which he insisted I open on the train home and a basket of sweet peas to grow for my window sill. So proud of him for performing in such a big concert, a few years ago he couldn't even cope with school assemblies because he hated the clapping so today just shows how far he has come Grin

Stokey · 23/03/2014 08:07

Wow that's amazing One , what does he play?

Can anyone recommend some non-designer boyfriend jeans? Don't think I want to spend more than £ 50- 75 as am not sure how much I'll wear them after years in skinnies. Also have to clear triple figure purchases past dh...

Shop am considering bag. I do love it but maybe need something bigger... or that & something bigger Grin ?

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2014 09:07

SHOP!!!!! Your new khaki LKBennet shoes are in STyle mag p.12.......I tell you they're watching!

shopafrolic · 23/03/2014 09:56

Ha! . Will nip to newsagents and grab a copy. Missed it last week.
Well done miniOne
Stokey no rush. Won't EBay for another couple of weeks while you have a think. if you need advice about how much it holds then Liberty bought one from Marsha so might be able to help.
Feeling lousy today - DS' cold has caught up with DH and I. We're having a competition to see who's the most ill and has to look after DS. I'm losing :(
Sleep thanks for the glass exhibition recommendation. I didn't make it as it started raining so in the end I got an earlier train home after lunch. How's the family feeling today?
Not sure on non designer boyfriends Stokey I know quite a few on here bought some ASOS ones.
Linus hope all is good, haven't seen a recent post from you?
