Hello MNVers, I am back from skiing. Lovely time but no fashion news to report. The best skiing conditions I have ever experienced though!

stokey I've said it before on here, I really really rate the Gap "sexy" boyfriends.

Is anyone good at interior design? DH birthday coming up, he has everything, wants nothing, I'm on maternity pay so struggling for cash a bit, and so I've decided to get him a balcony. We already have a balcony but its empty, so I need to make it into a chic outdoor relaxy/barbecue space!

libertychick · 23/03/2014 09:59

Stokey I think a few people here have tried the Asos Brady boyfriend jeans

One well done to your DS.

libertychick · 23/03/2014 10:07

Mini Gracie holds my wallet, keys, phone and lippy. It has 3 card holders and a small zip up section so you can dispense with wallet and get more bits in. Definitely more a 'night out' than a day bag although I would use it for day if it was a lunch with the girls type thing. No good if taking DD out unless I brought another bag.

libertychick · 23/03/2014 10:08

Hope everyone chez Shop and Sleep feel better soon.

libertychick · 23/03/2014 10:10

Apols for the multiple posts This dress arrived yesterday. I ADORE it - so me!

shopafrolic · 23/03/2014 10:13

Brilliant about the dress Liberty. Such a great bargain too. Hope the stress levels are easing?

Morning! I have a headache alreadyHmm I am however, wearing my Maje knitted sweater with gap high rise skinnies and uggsWink so all is semi well with the world.

Sleepwhenidie · 23/03/2014 11:20

Hi everyone, I just came on to mention Shop's shoes in Style too Grin...they should be paying you something!

Thanks to those asking about family health, DH is better and has just taken ds1 and DD to the park for a bike ride (DH running). Ds2 still not well, v lethargic, so we are snuggled on the sofa I don't mind a good excuse to laze with Sunday papers and MN. Tomorrow may be a day at home for ds2 again but hopefully not.

Speaking of health, how are you feeling Novice? I worry about your stress levels, you push yourself so hard...

Umlauf skiing sounds fab. I would love to help with the balcony but am much better at interiors than (semi) gardens Grin. How much space do you have on the balcony?

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2014 11:21

Such a gorgeous dress Liberty, I can imagine how fab you look in it.

Welcome back Umlauf! Do you mean buying chairs and a little table etc or something littler?

OneLittleLady · 23/03/2014 11:45

Stokey Ds plays the cornet! His group were all dressed in animal onesies while they played, they looked so cute!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/03/2014 11:51

Morning!

shop such a trendsetter! :)

Welcome back Umlauf, glad you had a great time. Balcony idea sounds lovely, if you have room for a barbecue I'm guessing it's quite big? Would you have room for reclining garden chairs, as they could double up as dining chairs/sun loungers?

Feel better Sleep and enjoy your lazy day, it's what Sundays were made for after all.

One that's so sweet, well done him.

Sleepwhenidie · 23/03/2014 11:56

One that's so wonderful about DS, sounds like maybe you are having a big influence!

Gorgeous dress Lib

BrandyAlexander · 23/03/2014 12:09

That's great news re your dh Sleep and lovely to hear about your ds One - he's such a little cutie as well.

Dry, this is really embarrassing but I couldn't remember what item of clothing I had lost. Erm that would be because I have lost make up bag and my long suffering PA is currently trying to get it back from 3000 miles away.Blush

Sleep, thanks for asking, yes I am really stressed out at the moment. Sad

shopafrolic · 23/03/2014 12:16

Hugs for lovely Novice please look after yourself Flowers
Sleep glad things are improving health wise, hope DS2 gets better as the day goes on. I've done the ironing and am now going to give up and hit the sofa for the rest of the day.

Gorgeous dress Liberty and thanks for the info about the mini Gracie.

Would I be able to get a kindle in it too? Can't bear to be on the tube without something to read.

Thanks for boyfriend jeans tips too, the Gap ones are reduced at the moment so may give those a shot.

Just started hailing here, can't believe I was lying in a hammock wearing a summer skirt this time last week - come back sunshine!

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2014 12:26

Oh Novice arh for you. Big hug.

Sleep and Shop hope everyone feels better soon.

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2014 12:32

Gosh sleep and shop families hope all feel better soon.
one lovely.
novice agree with others, you need to slow down although pointless saying really . Look after yourself lady.[smiile]

Righto....socks off, it's sunny, perhaps I'll venture out in jeans and my biker (no coat).....Hmm

stokey Bf jeans......I wear gap straight fit turned up as I don't like the extra bulk around my hips and thighs of regular bf jeans.

shopafrolic · 23/03/2014 12:41

How was the quiz Dry?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 23/03/2014 13:08

Hello all. It's been a while but there's been plenty going on and life has overtaken me a bit - missed you all!

Off out to do some food shopping as old mother hubbard ain't got nuttin on me just now but will return and try to kind of catch up. Just wanted to say hi.

Umlauf · 23/03/2014 14:16

Thanks sleep , blair it's about 3.5m by 1.5 (measured highly accuracy by me striding across it) and is all black tiling so I want light coloured furniture and some green because the privacy screen blocks a fair amount of light. I'd love to set up a trellis but no idea how to stick stuff to walls! I'm going to get him one of those pumpkin style BBQs for his main present and so I guess I need to set that up in a corner, and I want to somehow get some planters so if can have herbs in them (but until my baby haven't been able to keep anything alive Confused ) and obviously we will need a table to eat off, I already have 2 folding chairs, and an ikea poang which I've been putting outside on sunny days. We don't have room for much more, but I really love the idea of having a rug out there, is that a stupid idea? What happens when rugs get wet?!

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2014 15:29

Unlauf what a wonderful birthday present. My DH would love that. You can buy inexpensive washable rugs I think that would do the job nicely. Or some wooden decking? Herbs are a great idea, how about a some hanging baskets ( one with hanging cherry tomatoes? We did that one year)
Shop we were robbed! I correctly answered 2 questions! Great fun night resulting in a ball invitation...yey!

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2014 15:31

Umlauf I'd visit Ikea and go bonkers in the market place bit.....citronella candles etc....

LinusDKD · 23/03/2014 18:43

Evening. Quickly popping in to say I haven't been feeling well this weekend so that's why I haven't been posting.

It started with me nearly fainting in the supermarket on Friday (so embarassing, I had to ask the girl at the fish counter if I could sit down somewhere) and then my tummy ahem, started playing up on Friday evening.

I hope everyone who's suffering from tummy and other bugs feels better soon!

santamarianovella · 23/03/2014 18:51
