Make up on the train

Is it acceptable to do your make up on the train .. Powder blush mascara and lip balm. Nothing gross like eyebrow plucking
I do get some funny looks. Isn't it normal/acceptable?
What's a girl to do?

OP posts:

I must admit I'm a bit like that with egg sandwiches. Not my thing but WHO AM I TO JUDGE?

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:34

The slapperatti gurning, tugging eyes, sucking cheeks is minging
But they'll always try dismiss others opinion

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 22:34

I know I've tried my best to develop an unknown toilet phobia but I just can't seem to manage it Clara.

cafecito · 07/03/2014 22:35

I don't think it's that bad - I don't wear make up except mascara but for that very reason if I am having to go to something specifically where I probably should, like an interview, or out for dinner - then yeah I am afraid I do it on the train if I am very short of time. I wouldn't want to in rush hour though or facing a whole carriage but I am not sure I care less if other people do. I also put mascara on in public as some days I don't wear it and others I had to run out the door with literally not one minute of time. I am just very busy and would assume other people are not making it a choice per se but are doing it circumstantially and not every day.

I have a much bigger problem with people eating on trains - nothing worse than getting on a train next to a hot breakfast sandwich or eggy bacony muffin arrangement [bleurrh] it stinks! really vile

squoosh · 07/03/2014 22:35

Eating egg mayonnaise sandwiches is unforgiveable, even if you're all alone in a locked room.

Ick. Wet fart sandwiches.

Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:36

Get the bowel trained Nuggeto. Like controlled crying but with poo. Just hold it in until you get home. It's best in the long run. You're making a rod for your own back...no wait... hang on..

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:36

Clara, keep up I am groomed and apply make up at home, not on transport
The odour, the gurning, the eye tugging cheek sucking and rubbing is the slapperatti

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 22:36

scottish I think you'll find I've been doing my best to understand other people's opinions on this but you just keep repeating yourself over and over without offering any explanation and you don't seem to know the meaning of common words. Therefore your opinions are rather easy to dismiss.

TSSDNCOP · 07/03/2014 22:37

I do mine on the train.

10 extra minutes in bed vs. possible pearl clutching by strangers.

No contest.

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:37

Your understanding of my posts,it seems somewhat selective
You understand when you want to tell me I'm amiss
Yet claim it not understand when it suits you

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 22:38

Oh I am completely in agreement with my poor traumatised sister following the egg mayonnaise sandwich incident. I like them but would only eat them in appropriate circumstances like at home.

People are always eating McDonalds on my bus. But admittedly this mostly upsets me as it makes me want McDonalds.

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:39

Well yes TSS,refreshingly honest, you chose to be minging to score extra 10 in bed

Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:39

You have made your point with the gurning and the smell Scottish, you really have. I read that.
I did.
I get that there's eye tugging.
(Allegedly)
I just think there are worse things.
Not a big deal.
Egg sandwiches and sausage rolls in my opinion.

TSSDNCOP · 07/03/2014 22:39

Scottish you're beginning to post a lot like Yoda would.

Grin
Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:40

oh and arseholes... arseholes on the train are worse.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 22:40

I understand many of the words you are using is true, especially when you keep repeating the same phrases over and over. But some of your posts seem to be missing a few words and I wasn't clear what you were on about then.

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:40

And you've rambled about crowd control in dept stores, random comments

MooMaid · 07/03/2014 22:40

Ooooh depends why you spent an extra 10 mins in bed though Wink, could've been well worth it for putting make-up on in public!

I however, wouldn't want to leave the house without it on. Too conscious Blush

Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:40

HURRAY TSS!!! high fives Mon the extra ten minutes in bed.

TSSDNCOP · 07/03/2014 22:42

But like you say, they're just words on a screen. I don't care about what you post.

I do care about 10 minutes extra sleep though. You find it makes you less of a grouch see Wink

scottishmummy · 07/03/2014 22:42

And this is why it's mn discussion of day,it's a perennial
Slapperatti will vigorously defend their right to be mingers
And it always is a right ole rumble

Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:43

I like the whole transformation, get on the train like a caterpillar, get off like a butterfly...Sing with me...IT'S THE CIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIFE!!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 07/03/2014 22:43

Who me? I haven't said a word about department stores.

I admit my comments about poo were slightly off topic alright.

Clarabumps · 07/03/2014 22:44

Are you going to trademark that phrase Slaperatti scottish? I think you could be onto something there...

TSSDNCOP · 07/03/2014 22:44

Moo sleep sometimes, other times...Grin still makes you less of a grouch Wink
