You don't actually need to shag anyone if you don't want, or you can just shag your dh or whoever, or whatever you want.

There is always a very, very strict emphasis on manners and consent too. Much stricter than in most nightclubs, if you are not interested, just say no and people move on, it's nothing personal.

I can hardly bear to be in the swimming pool with a bunch of strangers in their swimming cosies, the thought of intimate contact with men I've never met before makes me shudder

I can't imagine finding that number of people attractive. I am intrigued by the etiquette of one guy after another. What if there is one you don't like.

I'd say people are much more respectful of "no means no" in a swingers' club than in every day life. It's not that big a deal.

The first time I ever went to a fetish club I was so scared. I didn't know what to wear or how to behave. But I came out feeling like a sex goddess and have never looked back to be honest. when I went to a swingers club wore a nice little black dress, boots and stockings... most other women there were just wearing normal slightly sexy dresses etc. men's dress code was smart, sort of black trousers, no jeans allowed.

had quite a lot of fun just chatting with people, and a little more fun upstairs. the club we went to limited the number of single guys to 5, so it was almost all couples. we went together with another couple. You can be choosy, I am very fussy about who we involve ourselves with. have to say was very friendly and everyone was very respectful. great night would go again but we hardly ever get a chance to get a night kid free!!

destinysdaughter i agree with, it's quite a liberating experience and very good for the self esteem!! but obviously you have to love sex and have an open and honest relationship if you're in one!!

I think I'm pretty straight laced when it comes to sex....never had a one night stand, slept with 3 men and I'll be forty this year. But I can't get over how judgemental some people have got on this thread (don't mean you overit ) As long as this involves fully consenting adults, why the fck should it matter what is going on in these clubs. I haven't seen any of those posters who do go to these clubs posting anything insulting and suggesting that others are boring for not trying swinging. Live and let live people.

I've only ever been with a fuck buddy rather than an OH. For me it makes things a lot easier to be someone that I've had sex with but am not in love with. However there are many committed couples that do do this. I am a bit envious of them tbh as they seem to have the best of both worlds. A loving committed relationship but also the freedom to be themselves and explore. Sometimes in these couples the woman is bi, so she may play with a woman and the husband watches. Or sometimes the man enjoys being a cuckold and gets off on watching his wife have sex with other guys. There's all sorts of varients and my opinion is, if it works for them, then great..!
