What does one wear to a swingers club?

Apart from not a lot Grin
Have no intention of getting totally bare assed in public so any ideas on nice lingerie and clothes that would, be, ahem, accommodating?

I am a bit Blush at myself really Cote. I am really going to do it with DH. If we did a review thread, Happy, we'd be flamed worse than we would be in the dungeon area of the swingers' club.

Ah, for Daniel Craig heating up the pies. I am imagining all sorts now.

nkf · 12/02/2014 20:57

When are you going to do it?

CoteDAzur · 12/02/2014 21:00

I don't think you'd be flamed.

But maybe Style & Beauty has suffered enough. Consider putting your BDSM swingers thread in... umm... "Education". Or "Adult Non-fiction" Grin

SnowNotSoWhite · 12/02/2014 21:12

I don't see what's wrong with updating it in S &B- surely we want to be stylish and beautiful while, er, eating cheese toasties.
Go wan cunty, I will if you will

Oo, err! What are we getting ourselves into? Blush

Think I may broach the subject with DP. It's been a while since we talked about it.

I'll be rather upset if he says no. I don't want to miss out on eating pies and perving on Mr Craig! Grin

CuntyBunty · 12/02/2014 21:21

As soon as we can get a babysitter! Probably it will be next month now, the time it takes for us to get anything sorted.

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 12/02/2014 21:21

We wouldn't be flamed! Tell all the folk who don't understand or enjoy the topic to er...do one! Preferably in a Primark bath towel seeing as we don't like them anymore. Grin

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 12/02/2014 21:23

Funandfet - thanks! I guess I've just assumed that if you go to a swingers club you're expected to have sex.

My local one runs 'nights' including guys and dolls, fetish etc. There is a newbie couples night about once a month. Eeek. Blush

funandfet · 12/02/2014 21:30

happy it's like going to a new country where you don't speak the language. You can feel all angsty before you get there but once you're there you relax and take in the sights.

farmernarmer · 12/02/2014 21:35

YAY! cunty and happy i hope you have a great time! relax and have a great time!
honestly i am not sexy and slim! i have a tum and a bum! i have never felt so sexy then at the clubs!
it really is liberating!

farmernarmer · 12/02/2014 21:40

oh yes, there is NO expectation for you to have sex! i am sure no one will even notice if you and DH have sex anyways!

Dont forget that if you ever feel uncomfortable, just say no! DH and I ended up playing with a couple we were not sure of - oh it was so weird! we eventually made our excuses and left!

but we are now brave enough to say NO if we do not fancy someone- it is much less embarrassing to say it to start off, then trying to tell them as they are touching you up! Grin

nkf · 12/02/2014 21:55

Seriously? No expectation. I mean, I could rock up in my baggy sweater and jeans and graze at the buffet all night long and fall asleep on one of the sofas? And nobody would mind. Those are some open minded people.

NotBrittaPieHonest · 12/02/2014 22:02

Idea for a Mumsnet meet up? Grin

We could have a special torture in the dungeon...

You get called horrible names, like 'Hun' and get forced to do depraved things like using text speak and... HUGGING. The entire room would be pink and sparkly. Signs saying '5 minutes since my last whipping' with a little cute picture of a bruised arse.

I think that might be too extreme for even a specialist event... Grin

farmernarmer · 12/02/2014 22:03

i doubt you would get in wearing sweater and jeans! Grin

but seriously, people are normally quiet wrapped up in what/ who they are doing!

Like i said earlier, we have been to a club before and just didnt feel like playing. no one really took our fancy. DH and i had an unexpected quicky on way to venue!

KissesBreakingWave · 12/02/2014 22:05

nkf yes, thats the point. Quite a cheap buffet too, since single women get in free at most swingers venues.

SauceForTheGander · 12/02/2014 22:07

Oh this could really help the mumsnet local sites take off

mayhavenamechangedforthis · 12/02/2014 22:11

i am happy to send a pic of what i wore to a club to give the new swingers an idea...

KissesBreakingWave · 12/02/2014 22:24

FWIW DP just wears a belt. And her collar at fet nights. Woman just flat likes to be nude.

CoteDAzur · 12/02/2014 22:42

Britta Grin

wileycoyote · 12/02/2014 23:11

I went recently to a swingers club for the first time and did wear a twin set and pearls tethers

My partner and I were so terrified before we couldn't eat our dinner Grin

We just had sex whilst others watched - I kept most of my clothes on so I wouldn't feel too exposed.

It was great - it was unexpectedly liberating and the people seemed almost universally sorted and sane.

wileycoyote · 12/02/2014 23:16

I would go again, definitely! Not all the time, but it was a real erotic charge. Not sure about actually swinging - partner and I had agreed not to - although there was one guy there who was tempting - nice vibe, unpredatory, good looking, nice hands, complementary, sexy etc

CalamitouslyWrong · 12/02/2014 23:16

The swingers chat should, go in WWYD. Because people genuinely want to know what one would do in a swingers club.

I don't believe you read the whole list nkf. There was plenty of totally ordinary stuff on there, including plain old PIV sex and ordinary oral sex. Unless you're celibate, I don't believe there was nothing on there you'd even consider. Granted, there might not have been all that much. But I bet you'd have said you'd be happy to go with the utterly 'vanilla' options.

For the record, I hate the word vanilla when applied to sex. It's possibly worse than 'fun'.

KissesBreakingWave · 12/02/2014 23:23

Yes, but there's vanilla and vanilla. Cheap, supermarket own brand vanilla or deliciously creamy pure dairy ice cream with genuine vanilla essence in it... Grin

Destinysdaughter · 12/02/2014 23:32

Think we should ask MN for an ' unconventional sexual practices' thread!

< don't think the Daily Fail would like that much tho. Can you imagine the headlines..? >

NotBrittaPieHonest · 13/02/2014 00:05

Tbf, if they are looking for 'mums net sex shock' they've prob already got it Grin
