Thanks ladies.

I'm taking note of the book recommendations.

Turquoise, I am still so tempted by those boots, how annoying yours were wrecked. I need to save!

Lovely bag, Shop. I got happy birthday emails from insurance companies today!

Lovely parka, Liberty.

DH took the day off so we did a quick Westfield trip and he bought me the navy disco. Told the black one you'd see it next week, Dry! I am going to go for the pink Burberry from my-w but waiting for a better code/more money and better keep a low profile on the shopping front for a while or DH will not be impressed.

Decameron · 14/02/2014 16:48

Fedup, I would order from Atterley Rd again, just be prepared to wait for a bit for a refund.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 14/02/2014 16:52

What has happened to MNV?

Decameron · 14/02/2014 16:54

That was so nice about the earrings, Dry.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 14/02/2014 16:59

No mig, not Sanibel but not too far away. Apparently the US Presidents have vacationed on the Island since the 1920s. Tiny strip of an island and, without doubt, my favourite place on earth. Not at all what most would expect of Florida.

As I look out of my sitting room window, it's hard to think it's the same planet Sad

libertychick · 14/02/2014 17:00

Oh yay! The navy disco!!! Good one Decam. Smile

Shop I was talking about a book not a website Stitch and Bitch all you need to know!

OneLittleLady · 14/02/2014 17:11

Ahh, Stitch and Bitch is brilliant. I've got it somewhere, might be in the garage actually, shamefully enough, a lot of my stuff is in the garage instead of actually up in the flat because there's just no room Blush

Mignonette · 14/02/2014 17:26

We don't do Valentines but this year DH decided to.

Ladies I present my gift.....Three plastic Schleich goats Grin

This isn't as divorce worthy as it appears as it references one of our jokes.

Years ago after a few refreshments I began to loudly declaim Shakespeare and announced 'A goat by any other name would smell as sweet' much to general mirth that I have never been allowed to forget

So it is quite a sweet gift really.

OneLittleLady · 14/02/2014 17:30

I like the goats Mig Sadly, I think DP has totally forgotten, then again, he forgets most things if I don't constantly remind him!

Mignonette · 14/02/2014 17:36

I didn't do anything apart from bake him some goodies.

That is my expression of love on a day when I awoke to 257 emails from work/potential clients/arrangements for my trip followed by two conference calls with potential clients before 8:30.

Psychiatry was less stress Shock. At least I had defined days off.

shopafrolic · 14/02/2014 17:36

Why does everything to do with knitting have to look so dated?!!

AmberNectarine · 14/02/2014 17:41

shop - try The Fault in Our Stars if you like a tear jerker. I've a heart of stone but even I found that one touching.

Great gift decam - many happy returns!!

My Peter Pilotto tee arrived today, though I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Also ordered Umlauf's leather shorts (please tell me they are generously sized!), and a cashmere sweater, pointy ankle boots and a stripy top from Boden. Will behave myself now! Though nothing was more than about £25!!

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2014 17:46

Another reason for you to visit shop.... A fab knitting shop, not at all old fashioned, I don't dare go in.

Oh,and I told DH about my car, but strategically parked the scratched side against the hedge so he couldn't see it Grin.... But FIL on his way up, so tomorrow I'm sure they'll both be out there, will make myself scarce Sad

Mignonette · 14/02/2014 17:53

I read that Amber and i agree - burning eyes after it.

Umlauf · 14/02/2014 18:04

I'm not sure. amber I ordered a 12 but they say 38 on the label so they might be a veery generously sized 10 or a smallish, mislabelled 12! Hope they suit, I wore them for the first time last weekend and the leather softened and feels lovely now.

Just packing my bags for my week in London with ds. Dreading the airport alone tomorrow with the buggy bag, car seat, suitcase, hand luggage AND baby. I need more hands!

Annianni · 14/02/2014 18:05

Fantastic Decam, I'd forgotten it was Gucci Friday!

Is she beautiful?
How much can you cram fit inside?

Annianni · 14/02/2014 18:08

Have you got a sling Umlauf?
For when you get off the plane.
I used to fly a lot alone with ds1 and would find the walk to passport control and collecting luggage and the pram the worst bit.

AmberNectarine · 14/02/2014 18:11

I got the 10, and to be fair I am a small 10, but I really don't want skintight leather shorts - I think it sends the wrong message!!

Umlauf · 14/02/2014 18:12

I have a carrier but if I put him in the car seat then I can sit down without trapping his legs! I wish I'd bought a skinny maclaren type thing not the giant bulky bugaboo I have.

decam it's here?! How exciting!! What have you put in it?!!

SecretSquirrel13 · 14/02/2014 18:16

Umlauf we used to have a cheapie holiday buggy which was great. I have posted already this eve but it's not here.
Happy bday Decameron fabulous bag newsThanks

Mignonette · 14/02/2014 18:17

Arf at Gucci Friday - better than bumsex Friday any day that is on a Sunday in our house.

My 'lovingly packed' Boden parcel is on its way according to Johnnie!

Boden if you are reading this you owe us on MN BIG time.

Yes skin tight leather shorts are imbued with a certain Babestation something something Wink

SecretSquirrel13 · 14/02/2014 18:20

Mig I browsed the boden links earlier and went back to order and the things I wanted were gone. I esp liked the look of liberty's parka and the cashmere Breton sweater. The lively slipper boots are now £5 if anyone is tempted I should be on commission for these!!

SecretSquirrel13 · 14/02/2014 18:22

Oh and I'm still on no spend February but teetering on the edge now. Mn have saved me from a boden order. Am half way there and have developed a bit if a wish list for March.

Turquoiseblue · 14/02/2014 18:22

I liked 'hotel on the corner of bitter and sweet ', though I felt the author didn't address so glaring issues in some of the relationships. If definitely read another of his books though.
Shop- I love the orange bag- I got the pink - am thinking I might return for orange or green satchel (will you eat out if AR have fixed their returns)
Grumpy - I have the Parisienne in the size up from what I ordered and love tem but he bum s a bit loose so am crossing fingers I ll be able pull them up and close them! They were such a bargain I had to try. Will update later.
Smile
Decam - I would go for the 50/50 s but if they ever need tepairing I d go to an expert tailor not a shoe maker (no matter how good they are meant to be)
