Wow, dogging and diamonds. You lot talk about all the interesting stuff when I've gone to bed.

Talking about dogging, one day (when we still lived in London) we got an anonymous letter in our letterbox from a 'concerned neighbour' informing us that one of the flats in our (very nice and expensive) building was being used for adult parties.

So DH and I googled the name of the establishment mentioned and lo and behold, pictures of scantily clad females in what looked a lot like our flat (but wasn't!)

I never noticed any goings on but I was once asked what perfume I wore by a creepy man in the lift. Maybe he was one of the punters?

And round the corner from us there was a gay sauna/club under the railway arches.

But then again I lived south of the river which has been the place to be for carnal excess for centuries.

dry we will need piccies of the bling!

I have also been thinking about laser eye surgery but my ophtalmologist advised me to wait until I had had all my children as pregnancy can have an impact on your sight and I am too chicken at the moment

Good morning! I bit the bullet today and found a nail bar here that does gel nails. Great place (and free car service from and back to my hotel). It clearly is the place where the non-Balinese strippers go to. To my right, a girl with bleached hair down to her bum, clad in leather trousers and a chain mail top, was getting mega-long pointy acrylic nails. To my left, another girl was wearing a bum-skimming leopard print dress. I felt kind of underdressed .

Bloody hell.....so, I was just tucking into my Roquefort -fav cheese btw and a box appeared on the table. V slick manoeuvre DH.....I recognised the box but didn't have glasses on so couldn't make out contents first though was.oh no he's gone off piste again fumbled for glasses, dropped clutch nice plastic number, thankfully not Gucci that fell on the candle small amount of wax damage and he bought me the earrings I'd had on my Christmas list!!!!!
They're very delicate, sparkly, cluster, drop....a more "me" alternative to studs that I can wear everyday.thrilled.....I only got him a card

Btw......I took so long admiring them in the bathroom and 3/4 bottle of Sancerre probably played a part that by the time I got to bed DH 2 dinners remember was out for the count.

dry swoon!! They are beautiful! I love small jewellery, like because I pack chunky funky stuff and only ever wear the same pair of (fake) diamond studs and a teeny tiny necklace, plain wedding band.

mig I love your reminiscences and am off to google/pin to see if I can find those poolside shoots so I can channel them this summer! Lovely colour converse, I've never seen that colour but they are really pretty.

Dh got me a pretty necklace. Can't find a pic but it's 3 hearts stacked on top of each other. Each heart is a sapphire (different colours) and is surrounded by diamonds. It's lovely.

I also managed to nab a couple of Boden bargains this morning thanks fo the other thread. I got the cashmere breton with pink stripe for 23 and a canonbury leopard clutch for 17! First time I have bought anything for myself from Boden.

umlauf I just ordered the iris cashmere jumper and also the breton/pink one. At that price it is worth a try.

My Chinti & Parker bobble hat arrived and it is lovely! It's more of a royal blue than cobalt but nice nevertheless.

Wow, I ordered a belt on Shopbop on Wednesday and it just got delivered. Now that is fast!

I have ordered from them before and they have always been fast in delivering but never that fast.

Dry They are lovely sparkly little cuties- i am death incarnate to jewellery but I luffs those.

I have been to Boden - not where I usually shop for no reason other than just haven't often but here is what I ordered-

wool skater skirt in sandstone and in green

Bow front blouse in white and navy stars

Cashmere scarf

foil Print sweater

I am going to wear the silver foil sweater with the cream skirt, thick wool tights and my snake brogues in the day and with a pair of dark burgundy pointed (very pointed) spiked heeled pumps in the evening with sheer tights. That's my first day of my work trip sorted plus back up Fold front Marc Jacbs metallic sheen black wool A line skirt if white doesn't survive Eurostar and my Creature of The Wind shimmer brocade/chiffon/tweed pleat Flapper style skirt for another evening alternative.

Day two I have a buttermilk thin gauze cotton V neck T under a baby blue boiled wool boat neck squared off sweater. Worn over the cream skirt if it is still okay or the Creatures skirt.

Will take my check wool coat and am undecided about a bag. Need an evening bag, an office bag and a tote for if I get a chance to shop but chocolate manons.

Fedup I like all of them but the white Derek Lam is the most 'me' if I was buying for myself. It'll look elegantly sensual. I love complicated folding and pleating.

Lily is the more wholesome despite the Mai Tai's! Jackie Kennedy and the NYC 'social X ray' women used to live in her clothing and wear them on their Palm Beach estates. Their entire homes would be Lili-fied. It was Sister Parrish to decorate your country home and Lily for Palm Beach!Q
