Dry will have a look. Your day sounds brilliant.

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 11:07

mine's the 2nd, dry, same as DD Grin who will be 6 this year. she is having a pyjama party and is SO excited. when is yours?

I LOVE this time of year too marsha. wrapping presents and tying ribbons round them all, choosing the tree and decorating it with the children. making mince pies, drinks and parties with our friends, carols in the park. tis fab Grin.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/11/2013 11:46

Good morning everyone, lovely Christmassy vibes here! Am Sad about the coat Novice, don't give up yet though....any trips to Italy planned? Maxmara on every corner there! Maybe a sly weekend with DH, purely for the two of you to enjoy Wink

I am having a sneaky coffee, DH is at the market with mil,FIL and DC's. I wasn't ready to go when they were, so now have ten mins to myself. I am sat in the garden, it's actually quite a nice day and I'm feeling very cosy and snuggled in my new grey cable cashmere jumper and suede j brands. Heading to south bank for a river boat trip in a minute, must try and see Eros Dry, sounds great!

Queen and Foxy how are you doing?

MarshaBrady · 17/11/2013 12:49

Grr what are those hideous related pins on my board? I have some revolting shot of someone's dorito special.

Is there a way to get rid of them?

Foxy I know, love it! So pretty.

AmberNectarine · 17/11/2013 13:03

I have followed Foxy's lead and ordered the big burgundy Pashli to try. I have liked them for quite a while and the price was too good to refuse!

santamarianovella · 17/11/2013 14:43

marsha they are so annoying! You can stop them through your setting.

amber is the pashli bag the one?

dry I really love the coats ani,and shop, pinned,I saw this coat and thought of you,it's more than what you want to pay for,but the sales are just a few weeks away, and its a shame to buy one now ,you might find a better deal on a good quality one.

novice try going to the maxmara store and ask them to search for the coat in Italy or France, they can always forward it to the their uk branches.

I love this time of year too, love how everything is beginning to feel so
Christmassy!
I should order a tree soon, was thinking of a medium sized one, and I have the perfect wicker stand for it. And I should start shopping for presents!

Annianni · 17/11/2013 14:51

Just lost a post Angry

Annianni · 17/11/2013 14:55

Phwoar to Amber and Foxy

I got a 7.5ft tree last year.
I'd love high ceilings, so I could go bigger! :o

I have red, white and silver decorations.
I despise tinsel it's the work of the devil

Just watching the polar express with Ds2 and getting in the mood.

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 14:58

good call amber. that styling is really lovely. can't believe we got them almost half the price of NaP!

have no idea why the small one is still FP linus, I would bookmark and get stalking.

just back from lunch with friends, getting cosy under blankets for a move marathon. tempted by polar express. is it too early?!

channeling stars and stripes with a breton, indigo paige jeans and becksondergaard star scarf. as I threw on my tan campomaggi had a moment of wishing it was the pashli instead Smile.

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 14:59

bwahaha anni crossposts! right will let them watch an episode of faraway tree and then getting into the christmas spirit with PE. might even have a cheeky glass of red wine.

Annianni · 17/11/2013 14:59

I've pinned some camel coats for you Dry.

I want to make an advent calendar for the boys.
Ds1 isn't bothered about a lego one this year, so I want to make a nice communal one.

No shopping to report from me probably ever again
It's all boilers, heating systems and solar panel talk here.

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 15:01

also hate tinsel anni . our decs are gold with a few homemade ones, and as many fairy lights as I can fit on. 7ft is fab for our sitting room.

Annianni · 17/11/2013 15:03

Foxy :o

We're on the sofa with strawberry bon bons.
Ds2 loves the film.

Annianni · 17/11/2013 15:05

Who's up for Christmas tree photos on mnv? :o

I like to do ours on the first weekend of December.
But I do get bored take it down in between Christmas and New Year.

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 15:16

I'm ok thanks sleep. it should be all done by thursday this week, maybe wednesday depending on when the granite arrives for the worktops. the cabinet painter is starting tomorrow. i am going to be SO pleased when there are no more workmen in our house.

santamarianovella · 17/11/2013 15:43

foxy I'm sure it will look awesome when its done,

ani I'm afraid our Christmas trees will look plain next to yours! I want to do a Nordic theme this year but I don't want to do and something, that I might get bored with later.

OneLittleLady · 17/11/2013 16:38

I've bought a cheap throw for christmas with reindeers and stars on it Grin just waiting to put it on the chair now

foxysocks · 17/11/2013 17:20

I'll take some pics and try to upload them to the mnv board once it's done. eeeek! excited. am a bit scared to cook with the aga, might stick to toast and cups of tea till i get brave.

Drywhiteplease · 17/11/2013 17:39

Hello!
Thanks so much Anni Santa and Shop for the wonderful coat pins.
this is my fav, love the styling details but don't love the raw edge on the collar. I saw a woman trying on the Massimo dutti yesterday. It looked amazing. I didn't consider it because it was double breasted but I think I may order and give it a try, it's a real classic.

Marsha my Christmas traditions;

Make cake early, all give it a mix and make a wish.....feed it a lot with brandy.Wink
Buy a Christmas Yankee Candle (this year mandarin and cranberry) and burn in hall so it smells Christmassy when you come in my home.
Visit York on a cold evening near Christmas....it's so beautiful.
Order wreath
Start eating mince pies early done

My tree is traditional red and gold, no tinsel. In my family room I went bonkers last year and have a very kitchen white and turquoise tree Shock

It'll be ace Foxy, would love to see the pics.

Anni yep I'm up for that! Mine is usually rather tousled.

MarshaBrady · 17/11/2013 17:40

Lovely Dry!

Ok coat hang on...

shopafrolic · 17/11/2013 17:53

Slinks in with the sound of sleigh bells.
Love a bit of Christmas chat I do.
We have our tree in the lobby - usually an 8ft but could go higher I guess. A bit worried about losing a small child in it tho Grin No ordering for us - just good old Homebase - never fails and last really well. Gorgeous scent too. House is decorated with foliage and red and silver, lots of candles. We have a lovely wooden nativity scene. LOVE it all. My only thing is nothing starts until December - other than present buying.
I do the traditional big lunch for 12 of us - lots of pressies - I'm very excited this year as I think this will be the first time DS gets it.
Foxy it sounds as though it'll be amazing.
Our decorator is due to finish next week - I went for that wallpaper I pinned - it looks good………
We've been out and about today. I picked up my new glasses - Escada frames, and got another pair repaired so I have two pairs to choose from depending on mood / outfit. Lovely lunch out, now chilling with a glass of red in front of the fire. Bliss.
Happy Sunday Voguettes

And another one we have; every holiday we bring back a tree dec so that when we decorate the tree we can remember all our wonderful family holidays Smile

Annianni · 17/11/2013 18:47

I'm all christmassy after the film.

When I'm a grown up the ds's are older, I'd like all glass baubles on a very simple tree.

Ours is usually quite full and a bit messy.
But I love it. My dm had strict colour schemes and I wasn't allowed to touch it so I sometimes let the dc's help :o

We found a fab little garden centre in a nearby village last year, huge trees for £35 (northern prices obviously)

MarshaBrady · 17/11/2013 18:49

We usually get it from a little local place too, I noticed ds' school were selling trees from somewhere. And I thought about doing that, but realised they're probably not delivered. Will go back to local place.
