novice do you mind linking a pic of the cabinet you are after?

Dry marylebone hs is lovely, reminds me of carefree times in a previous life, you could while away a whole afternoon there.
Justa I am loving the whistles jumper thanks to you. That's 2 great tips I've had from this fab thread this month.
Novice I have just had to google drying cabinets, they look great don't know anyone who has one. Our laundry room still has the original drying racks in which we use in winter and in summer I love hanging out washing. We also have a dryer I use for clothes shrinking experiments!

Dry I will try and pin a pic of it tomorow for you.
Ruby I kept the Whsitles jumper too even though it is too big for me. It is so soft and warm I couldn't bear to return it especially at that price Grin
Shop I have often seen Ganni stuff in TKm but you do have to root around a lot to find anything decent. Definately not one if you have dc in tow! I would love a cream cable knit jumper so will keep an eye on all your findings.

Morning!

dry I'm sure I will look über classy in that Zarita dress when I finally get to try it on! Wink

And I have been looking atl sparkly jumpers in the shops but none have tickled my fancy so far.

Oh and it was I who bought that diamond in Geneva. It was sold just down the road from me so it would have been rude for me not to pop in and buy a little bauble for myself.

I love that Nagini bag you linked for one even if it's more for the name than anything else. (Closet Harry Potter fan)

mig how are you feeling?

And foxy I hope today is much better than yesterday.

Morning all!
Linus, I think you enabled me to buy the Choo Youth Bikers which I adore, I will now return the favour!l
I have the DVF Zarita in navy and I love it.
Matches have the longer version, it came to just above my knee and made me look frumpy, the shorter version I wear with tights.
I have Decameron to blame for my DVF fettish. The Bec dress is lovely and flattering with simple rouching in the right places without being bulky. I have another which is a little too short I feel even with tights and I am summoning up the courage to wear!
I love this thread, I read regularly and am slowly building a fab wardrobe!
Thanks Thanks

Foxy hope you have a better day today.

I love that snake print bag but I have a Jimmy Choo candy and an Anya H Valorie both woefully underused in my wardrobe so cannot justify (has not stopped me putting Givenchy Rottweiler on my Xmas list natch).

theweek I don't think I need much enabling when it comes to that dress but I will have to try it on IRL.

There is a DvF shop in Antwerp and in Brussels so I might pop in at Christmas or maybe I'll wait until we are in London for the weekend.

Glad you like the Choo bikers! I have worn them so much over the last couple of months that the cpw has really hone down a lot.

this is a nice scarf. Lambswool not cashmere but lovely colours.

Gosh i've got a lot to catch up on! I go to book club and you're already on the next addition.

Feeling more normal today, thanks in part to my lovely dh who made me sleep in the spare room to get an undisturbed nights sleep.

I've just ordered thus bag. I've loved it for ages but have been a bit unsure about the exotic finish. Also I'm not sure it's special enough to spend my 40th money on but it was an itch that needs scratching. I've just been waiting for a code and today was the day. You have to order 2 or 3 items so I've bunged in a couple of pairs of socks and have all for £78. Will report back when it arrives. If I like it I will also purchase the cobalt bag I feel in love with the other day too!

Morning, love the round up dry !! I'm so dramatic, I'm sure we'll manage Christmas somehow. Have couriered the missing documents this morning and having pleaded with the passport lady by phone I'm feeling hopeful.

Hmm onelittle I quite like this Jigsaw clutch but if not sequins! how about mirrors?! That bag is just the most fabulous thing I have seen this winter!

justasecond fab bargain! TKmaxx on my Xmas shop trawl list, along with JCrew despite my misgivings, can try stuff on and order to Spain for half price! , &other stories (never been!), JoLoves... Any other recommendations? I don't know if I will manage a London trip yet. It's not far but scared of leaving baby AND scared of taking baby!

LO is asleep so I have to wash sheets too. Grrr. When can I sleep?!!

Umlauf I had a look at your getting back for Christmas thread. You poor thing! I really hope it's sorted very soon.

Linus live those scarves! What fab picks. I'm tempted to get the TK Maxx one. Has anyone ordered from there? Not sure if I can bear painful delivery processes.

QueenC lovely bag, I've heard good things about BR bags.

Theweek excellent! Well done. Yes stay Smile

Foxy good luck today, am sending good building vibes.

Marsha I've ordered from there before and it was fine, fast enough and everything came in perfect condition. I'd use them again no problem

Phew, I've caught up. Great introduction dry. And I'm not going to admit to just how much chocolate I consumed yesterday Blush Grin. In all seriousness though, I do have to try and find other ways of controlling the sugar cravings.

Loving the tartan scarves but think I'm better with plain. On the way home from school yesterday we popped into the local church who had a Christmas fair trade fair. Pounced on the most perfect emerald scarf. I thought it was 12.50 so I was sorting my money out and then realised I'd misread the ticket and is was 21.50. More than I wanted to pay but I was too embarrassed to put it back. 70% cashmere nod 30% silk and fair trade though so I should stop being so tight!

one I've pm'd you with a bag. I saw it the other day and would have bought it if I didn't already own a metallic clutch.

shop do you still need a gap code?

foxy hugs too you.

I've pinned yet another grey bag Grin. It's another MJ one. The other one didn't feel special enough to spend >300 on but I'm wondering if this one is worth 200. If I'm wondering this much, then it's not right is it Confused

Oh don't you love it when you come back to prettily fanned cloths and snuggly nestling spoons / forks, and folded loo roll. Haha, forgive me I feel I can say this on Vogue if anywhere Grin.

Shop I love that pin, very much, so will be closely watching your jumper hunt!

Is anyone checking out the Marant collection at H&M? I can't get onto the website and the nearest shop with the collection is an hour away in Bilbao, not sure whether dragging DH there tomorrow under pretence of a visit to the Guggenheim is worth the lovely wool blazer or not...

Report
MarshaBrady · 14/11/2013 11:22

Yep I just looked, placed in a queue on the website. Meh. I'm not going in, I really like some of the stuff, but a packed H&M on a cold day (on any day?) may exist within one of my 7th circles of hell.

umlauf just read your passport thread! Fingers crossed!

And it has reminded me that DH still hasn't applied for DD's British passport! Angry She's one year old!

And now it seems the Paris passport office is closed and things are even more complicated!!!

With DS is was already a faff having to register the birth first at the British Embassy in Bern and then applying for a passport in Paris. And soooo ££££

For their Belgian passport (which I sorted out for DD when she was about 2 months old) I just had to fill in a form, send some documents and a reasonable amount of money to the Belgian consulate here in Geneva and they did the rest.

I hope everything works out for you and you will be able to laugh about it all when you tell the story of his first Christmas in the UK to your DS!

Thanks linus it's horrendous. It's cost £400 ish so far and counting, what is most frustrating is that about £150 of that is due to being told the wrong thing time and time again. I'm a shit mother when stressed too, I can't deal with his crying at the same time as my own. Luckily DH is calmer than I am. I hope you get dds sorted soon, it's crap there is no quicker way now than by post! Other countries seem so sorted, just us it seems!
