Money? DS is getting a roadbike , but money would have been his second choiceGrin

lalsy · 03/12/2013 14:09

Yes, money is on his list Smile
I have to buy stuff for him from various family members too...just need a few things maybe around the £15-20 mark.

motherinferior · 03/12/2013 14:28

Fortunately my daughters have made very specific lists. In DD1's case this says 'a camcorder'. DD2 has a few other wants, including Sylvanians and a Percy Pig hot water bottle.

lalsy · 03/12/2013 14:32

I luurve Sylvanians. ds did make a list but it was a little ambitious....we used to have a Flip camera which was a fab little camcorder with a USB stick to upload films to computer, so no cables to lose and not really worth being mugged for, and they stopped doing them, I'd love to get him something like that.

herbaceous · 03/12/2013 14:35

I'm getting some Sylvanians for DS. He played with a friends' Sylvanians house for HOURS at the weekend, longer than he's played with anything. They're not for me. No. Not at all.

motherinferior · 03/12/2013 14:59

Not even the new red pandas, Herbs? Really???

bigTillyMintspie · 03/12/2013 15:13

DD never got into Sylvanians. Or any dolls really. Infact, I think DS played more with the baby doll than she didSmile

lalsy, nerf gun, onesie, Big Bang (or other) Tshirt, football stuff - socks, shorts, shin pads, etc?

lalsy · 03/12/2013 15:21

Big Bang T short may do the trick, thanks!

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 17:12

I got dd a 'soft kitty' Big Bang tee shirt last year - will see if I can find out where...

I have adopted an orang-utan for someone this Christmas with WWF
The cuddly ape has just arrived and is beautiful. Also lots if info on wild life conservation.

Mi you will be horrified to hear that those super wodge sanitary towels are alive and in general use at the Gynae ward at my local hospital . Oh yes. Wink

motherinferior · 03/12/2013 17:23

Small grumpy red-haired Asian primates, Crem...what's not to love Grin

hattymattie · 03/12/2013 17:47

The Big Bang T shirts are on Amazon.

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 18:17
Grin
lalsy · 03/12/2013 19:03

Excellent about Big Bang T shirts, thanks all.

When I was doing that childbearing stuff, the NHS seemed to have a very peculiar supplier of such products, using up wartime supplies of paper towels as fillings perhaps?

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/12/2013 20:26

I had a panicky phone call this morning asking if I could help drum up some support for a Chanuka event this evening, which had not been advertised at all and they were worried that not many people would turn up. They particularly wanted some Important People. I delivered a government minister Grin, some Very Senior People and a few more to fill a large room. You ask, I deliver. And I got to light the candle. And eat the doughnuts. Mmm, doughnuts. The speaker was fab - one of my favourite speakers, so I met her and it was all worthwhile. I love it when everything goes right.

bigTillyMintspie · 03/12/2013 20:31

Great stuff, MrsS!

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 21:04

Lalsy - DS (also 14) will be getting the following for Christmas: money, a pair of bootee slippers (because he keeps nicking mine), a massagey thing (because he's a big softy), some Hollister Jake aftershave and a running top. The grandparents have bought Top Man vouchers.

Wilbur - if you can stretch to the expense may I heartily recommend a Sonos system. Ours is utterly fab, great sound quality, and plays Spotify, so all the music you could ever want. All controlled from my tablet and phone.

lalsy · 03/12/2013 23:19

Cv, thank you, brilliant suggestions. Think he might really like a massagey thing...

bigTillyMintspie · 04/12/2013 06:44

CV, what is the massagey thing? I have already bought DS a pedicure kitGrin

Blackduck · 04/12/2013 08:18

MrsS :)

I had my team Christmas meal yesterday - surprising pleasant affair all things considered - came home stuffed and went to choir which nearly ended up in a melt down Confused
Now dragging myself through last couple of days before we head off... Can't wait :)

motherinferior · 04/12/2013 08:19

Auriga....do we safely assume the nappy-changing was not, er, recentWink?
