Wearing makeup every day

Just been looking at a trashy website Blush of pictures of celebs without makeup and there is no denying in my mind that most people, me included, look better with makeup on.

When I have made the effort everyone always says "you look nice" or "you look well" and that is because I don't have naturally smooth skin, or dark eyebrows/lashes, and makeup suits me. I am just lazy.

So, those of you who do it every day, how long do you think it should take to apply bb cream mixed with a bit of foundation, concealer, pencil eye liner, one colour of eyeshadow and mascara? I don't really do blusher and lips will be just a touch of gloss as lipstick doesn't really suit me.

What should I do with my eyebrows? They are quite a nice shape and fairly dark - I can't stand the new HD eyebrows ... I don't want to do the school run looking like Katie Price!

I love makeup and own a lot, sometimes I take twenty minutes to put on a full face including eye shadow, liner etc.

Mostly though, I wear Clinique CC cream, Bourjois cream blush and mascara. Then a peach lippy. Takes 5 minutes, max.

I definitely look better with makeup, I have very uneven skin and large pores. I do still go out without makeup on, but rarely tbh. Since I got the CC cream, I'd rather spend 30 seconds putting that on than have nothing.

takes me 5 mins. splodge a bit of foundation on with a big powder brush just for a bit of coverage. bronzer. eyeliner & mascara. lipstick.

Foundation can be quick I'd you use a brush. I've only started wearing it for a year as I'd never found one that suits my skin before that.

I am always amazed at how much better I look with make up on, but I need so little!
Moisturiser with SPF
Cheek and lip tint
Eyebrow pencil.

That's it! Without I look washed out, grey and undefined.

I rarely wear any in the summer, maybe a bit of mascara and lip gloss, but full face the rest of the year, always feels strange when I first start wearing it again and ditto when I stop.

5 minutes for everyday make up. I wear a minimum of foundation, eyebrow pencil, mascara, lip liner and lip gloss. If I need a bit more I add eyeshadow, blusher and powder.

BellaVita · 20/09/2013 20:14

In the summer a couple of mins for work. Eyeliner, mascara, blusher, lipgloss.

In the winter a bit longer as I will wear a primer and foundation.

For going out... This could take bloody ages as I like to wear false lashes and it depends on how they behave Grin

Always - but only; cc cream, eyeliner, lipstick and mascara. Am definitely at the age where less is more! (And since having my colours done I really notice I'm not having to compensate for wearing a harsh colour by wearing even more make up.)

takes me 5 mins

  • plaster concealer all over blemishes most of face (sometimes foundation before if trying extra hard)
  • eyeliner
  • mascara
  • bit of blusher
  • clear lipgloss from a tube

never touch up unless spots are especially minging. In which case liberally apply more concealer in loo at work.
