Well, she has a new HoY (not new to the school) who she doesn't like, a new Head of KS4 (also not new to the school) who she doesn't rate, a new maths teacher but the same English teacher (wanted it to be the other way round), they have said that they are tightening the uniform rules (so fake nails will probs have to go. And bracelets - DH will be rubbing his hands), the HT came into their assembly today (for the first time ever!) to lecture them about working hard, she has some lessons with people she wasn't with before and maybe not friends.... Oh and something about early entry for stuff, including a controlled assessment in MFL in 3 weeksConfused
On the plus-side, some of her tutor group have been moved out (including one very annoying boy) and her new tutor is nice.

Is it normal teenage behaviour? We are round to friends (with DC at the same school) for dinner tonight so we can compare notes!

Wilbur, that title/author rings a bell, so I think you might have mentioned it before, but I have now put it in my Amazon shopping basket. I did Grin at "if dd would only set fire to any book you gave her" because that's exactly how it is when she is in that kind of mood. The weirdest thing is that she can be perfectly nice and normal. Even sometimes for days at a time. She clearly managed to be sunny and lovely for an entire 3 weeks when on holiday with another family this summer. I'm just not much good at dealing with all the rage and vitriol when it comes my way, I'm afraid.

bigTillyMint · 06/09/2013 17:02

DS has just come in with his mates. They all said school was fine when askedConfused

Maybe it is the GCSE effect.

Cremolafoam · 06/09/2013 17:13

I'm so sorry to hear the tales of teenage daughter woe. I wish I had something helpful to add Stropps QQ and BtM. Hang in there. That book sounds good in lieu of a Teenage Manual.

bigTillyMint · 06/09/2013 17:17

Just seen the recommendation, Wilbur - will google it! I have a whole library of teenage manualsGrin

motherinferior · 06/09/2013 17:57

House is still full of shit. I have just bought a nice new roll of bin bags.

Cremolafoam · 06/09/2013 19:14

Mrs s are you finally done with AB, like for evah?
If so Wine

bigTillyMint · 06/09/2013 19:21

Yes, let's all have a Wine and Cake for no more ABSmile

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/09/2013 19:34

I hope so. Interestingly, my successor was seething about him this evening. Grin So I am quite sure it's not me!

I am now going to take a huge box of cleaning products round to a friend, which will probably involve much swearing as it is heavy. Or I could just leave it for the people who are moving in here next... mmmm, that's quite tempting. If I don't take the box, I can get rid of some stuff in the clothes bank en route and take her a bottle of champagne. Yep. I think I'll do that. Grin

Cremolafoam · 06/09/2013 20:03

I think I'd rather have the champagne than the Eau Javel if I'm honestGrin

I have just eaten a vast pizza Blush
I am hoping that once my periods are done and dusted I will no longer get cravings to eat every damn thing in sight. Honestly I could eat another one. Confused

beachyhead · 06/09/2013 21:38

Just think Mrs S, she has a whole year of that to deal with...

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/09/2013 22:07

Beachy - she has at least two, if not three. I feel sorry for her, she's lovely.

wilbur · 06/09/2013 23:22

I've had pizza too, Crem. [bloat] Yummy tho, as was my Friday cocktail - a Martinez which was very, very delicious. I had 2 and am now a little wobbly on my feet. Have a good weekend all. [stumbles to bed]

CointreauVersial · 06/09/2013 23:54

Fingers crossed for dry (ish) weather tomorrow - tis the Family Fun Day I've been organising for work. I spent the afternoon sorting out deliveries of tables/chairs/BBQs etc, which involved standing on the dual carriageway in the rain flagging down random lorry drivers who couldn't find the turn-off. Off to the butchers tomorrow morning to pick up a huge box of burgers, and to Majestic for cooler bins - I have also run out of raffle tickets and need to find balloons to mark the entrance so people actually get there - gah!

I'm hoping it will be "fun"; I have organised some cra-zeeee inflatables (bungee running and gladiator battles) and stuff for kids, but I expect most of the attendees will be content to sit on their arses and drink beer. If it tips down we'll be huddled in the scout hut listening to the MD play the guitar.Hmm

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2013 05:47

Signing off from Paris now, fellow Crepeys. "See" you in London at some point in the next week when we get t'internet installed.
