Wow, it seems as though QueenC isn't the only one to retire back to bed this morn.

Having a lazy one myself. The kitchen is a bombsite of scrambled eggs, scraps of wheat sourdough and crispy bits of bacon, but I'm sitting here at the kitchen table, cup of tea, tap tap tapping on the laptop with You Mag beside me. Had to post because I was Shock Shock at M&S shameless rip off almost identical copy of Prada's flared tweed coat with deep fur cuffs and metallic belt. You have to see it - there's v little to differentiate one from t'other. Except for the price, M&S comes in at £229, but it's really rather remarkable.

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2013 12:20

Grumpy o think this week's You magazine is the best fashion edition ever. Loads of clear pics of latest trends...loads of temptation!!!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 08/09/2013 14:37

It is fab isn't it Dry? Definitely one to keep to hand for a while - I won't be chucking it out this week. You mag is the only reason I buy MoS. I use the newspaper to light the fire with Grin

santamarianovella · 08/09/2013 14:38

reallllly quiet in here!

queen look like it was a fun night, jaeger top is perfect.

dry that is some calorie laden hangover cure!

novice im just like you , i end up packing in hurry and always forget ,essentials like shampoos

grumpy yummy breakfast! have not seen the coat, didnt M&s hire some big designers to revamp their clothes? why are they copying prada?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 08/09/2013 14:58

Santa it's so similar it's like a spot the difference contest!

Just noticed quite a large error in You mag - they have M&S' Autograph cream boucle coat heading their 'High St Heroes' feature and have it in as £99 when it is actually £139. Quite a difference. nice coat though

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2013 17:04

Grumpy mine goes at the bottom of the Guinea pig hutch for them to pee on....I always make sure Liz Jones' column is at the top! Grin

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2013 17:25

I'm wiped out. Anyone in the South Yorkshire area or thereabouts will probably identify the town I'm living in because the Buzzcocks played a free festival there last night which I went along to. It was worth pushing myself to stay up later than usual for but I am wiped out now and I've come down with a raging cold. Have been sneezing all day and haven't even got dressed!

Last night I thought I looked nice in a red lace 3/4 length sleeve dress, black opaques and flat black boots with black leather jacket and cream and red scarf. I did give in and purchase a purple hoody from Primark to go under the leather jacket as it got really cold last night. Kinda spoiled the look but keeping warm was more important to me! Grin

Annianni · 08/09/2013 17:57

Stressful day!
And I've wasted £111 on the wrong paint [sob]

The sodding white room is nowhere near finished, and I wanted to move back into the sodding room tomorrow... Instead it'll be next weekend when the sodding thing will be finished.

I might have another drink later!

Annianni · 08/09/2013 18:00

In other news, Dh has said I can order my birthday present.

I was undecided between a new purse or a coat.
I think I want a coat, so I'll do links and ask for votes later.

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2013 18:01

Sad anni I hate when DIY and such doesn't go to plan, it seems like so much effort to go to only to find it's wasted. Wine for you anni relax and carry on tomorrow

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2013 18:52

one order Uniqlo hi tech vest in nude....I swear by them......best vest ever , bar the fine wool/silk long sleeved one my grandmother (103) gave me in 1986 .

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2013 19:00

Sounds perfect for me dry I am always so so cold. I wear layer upon layer during the colder months but still suffer.

I'm still not dressed yet and am meant to be going to see my friends band play in a bit. Suppose I ought to get a move on really

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2013 19:07

Oh and my news is that DH took himself into town to buy a tennis top layer! Went to Sports Direct and came out with two of the most disgusting hoodies mid life crisis . You know the phrase "all the gear, no idea" with DH it's definitely " all the idea, crap gear"....

LinusDKD · 08/09/2013 19:08

Phew, Dsis and her family left this afternoon so I finally have some time to myself.

I have tried to keep up during the week but I'm sure I have forgotten loads:

one I hope the op will sort out your shoulder problem and I hope your new dietician will be able to help you (not like the complete idiot who put you on 800 cals)

amber wow no GA during your first op and you have to have another op! Respect!

santa that Céline is to die for! Well done DH.

dry I love that cobalt skirt you bought.

sleep well done on getting into that course!

I am still on a shopping ban (apart from the TS Baxters) but I did try on some Iro jackets a couple of days ago. One of them looked quite nice but my next big purchase should be a down winter coat so I wasn't tempted to buy it.

Oh, and the shop assistants were super pushy so that put me off as well. Angry

It was lovely to see Dsis and her family again but 6 adults (DP's stayed for a couple of days as well) and 5 children under 6 meant that the house looked like and sounded like a zoo most of the time.

It was the first time in more than a year that I had seen her and she had lost loads of weight. I love Dsis but I admit it was a bit Envy especially as she looked so good in her clothes, even though she wore jeans and tees most of the time.

She did the fast diet so I am thinking about giving that a go as well.

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2013 19:08

.......unless I buy it Grin

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2013 19:11

I have taken charge of at least telling Dp what to buy otherwise he buys bag after bag of things in brown everything, even his jeans are BROWN. Admittedly, brown suits him but he needs other colours as well

santamarianovella · 08/09/2013 20:33

ani it must have been awful! but on the bright side, you have a lovely new coat purchase to think of,dont keep us waiting.

one your night sounds great!

linus was thinking about you earlier, you must be exhausted, we had a house full of kids during our hols,it was so much fun,but as you have put it accurately it can resemble a zoo Grin.

libertychick · 08/09/2013 21:31

Decam have just pm'd you back now - apols, have been off line all weekend so only saw it now.

Still having the coat debate here - planning a try on session on Tuesday as I will be in London that day. Have added another coat to the wish list but not linking or pinning it for now as it's a bit more affordable than the Carven or the Burberry so more likely to sell out!

Santa what a fantastic bag - well done your DH! What a man Smile.

Linus I tried the fast diet, lost 2kg and then it stopped. On the plus side it's not a hard diet to do IMO. I have decided though after reading lots more about weight that my aim now is to get fit and to be the same weight for my 50th! I'm at the upper end of a healthy BMI but I find it so hard to get lower than this than I think it's ultimately more realistic for me to accept how I am and keep on an even keel and focus on eliminating the wobble. (and by doing this I can justify spending more on individual items of clothes Smile)

QueenC I am chuffed you are looking forward to wearing the MK top. I'm looking forward to wearing my biker jacket and to getting back into opaques - like one I'm not crazy about my legs so will have lots more outfit options for work once I can disguise them in 70 denier black. Also looking forward to wearing my loafers.

I have been Envy at all the house chat - my house is very ordinary with a good quality but v boring kitchen. As we don't plan to stay here long term is not worth redoing but I'd love a shiny new one.

libertychick · 08/09/2013 21:39

MrsR how did your colours session go? What season are you? Or have I missed your feedback on this already?

QueenCadbury · 08/09/2013 21:47

David beck ham makes Anna w smile.

QueenCadbury · 08/09/2013 21:49

liberty our house is very ordinary too. Only the kitchen is amazing as we redid that when we moved in but went totally over budget. The rest of the house is desperate for attention but I'm loathe to do too much until the dc are bigger.

libertychick · 08/09/2013 21:55

Our plan is to relocate to Aus or NZ QueenC so I console myself with fantasies of what my house in the southern hemisphere will be like...

santamarianovella · 08/09/2013 21:57

how cute is harper!

liberty if you want opinions why dont you take some picks and pin them to ani's secret board.

Annianni · 08/09/2013 22:02

Right coat votes and any other suggestions welcome.
Budget up to £150, as i'll probably be bored with it next year :o

I've got a parka, peacoat, duvet coat and a raincoat.
I want something nice for day to day, more dressy than casual.
Colours I would like are navy, grey or a nice deep red/burgundy.
Not green, as my parka and peacoat are green.

I love this look

It needs to go with at least 2 of the pairs of boots i've got...
these boots
these boots
or these boots

Contenders at the moment are...

i've tried this grey coat and it's nice but i'm not thrilled by the fabric content.
I love this but sold out online, could try and find one in an actual shop though?
I like the colour of this one and the raw edges.
another nice one
quite like the checks
Quite like the look of this in blue

libertychick · 08/09/2013 22:03

Good idea Santa I might just do that...I'm a bit techphobic but will try Wink
