Yoox does have some amazing reductions but you do have to trawl. Plenty of Celine, Balmain, Lanvin and cool shoes.

vinocerous · 29/08/2013 19:55

hello

I don't know if anyone *marsha, fritzi? bloss? et al remembers Vin from a couple years ago on W&A threads (and one all-too-brief meet up)

but I'd like to say thank you so much for being such wonderful lovely bunch. I am still in London, live alone with DS, now studying in my third year of med school. I have banned NAP due to student budget. *the horror

but, yes, thank you for being lovely!

as you were, stay fabulous Smile

mignonette · 29/08/2013 20:05

Hello to Vin who I do not know but I salute for being a single Mum at med school. My goodness how I salute you Flowers Wine Cake

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2013 20:07

Gosh that's good Shop. Do they keep adding stuff to the Anna sale all the time?

bunnymother · 29/08/2013 20:19

Ladies, please excuse the intrusion - mrscb said Vin is here. Hi'!!! How fantastic to hear from you and that you are doing so well! Really wonderful news. I doffs me cap. Many times. Xxx to you and gorgeous DS.

shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 20:20

I think they do Marsha - I didn't spot it before - I was on the hunt for Pistols and knits!
Vin welcome back! Even though I don't know you. :)

Ok my question for tonight is.

At what thing that you've bought (or looked at) has your dh recoiled the most?

Me- the Marant dress from the other day- apparently looks like it's been through the shredder.

And slippers.

And yes we all do shop for ourselves, yada, but for fun.

shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 20:24

Nice one Marsha
Anything over £50 - tightarse! Grin
Seriously though? He's pretty good, and is v honest when I try things on. He has no interest in fashion, but can see what suits me (and what I'm happiest in). The Ganni coat isn't looking favourable at the moment.....Hmm

OP posts:
Umlauf · 29/08/2013 20:35

The most damage my DH has ever done was about 6 years ago with a gorgeous pair or Stuart Weizmann gladiator sandals which he said looked like Forrest gumps leg braces! Haven't touched them since..

Love the leopard shoes mig

OneLittleLady · 29/08/2013 20:37

DP doesn't get my Irregular Choice shoes, he thinks they are too fussy and pretty silly really. The faces he pulls when the boxes come out from under the bed are enough to put me off wearing them too often

mignonette · 29/08/2013 21:03

Marsha

No problem answering that question! DH blenched and looked like he'd been force fed a cockroach when I showed him a yellow marl knit and purl cardigan from a few years ago when those big shawl collars were everywhere.

I actually didn't wear it such was the reaction I got. He is always honest and pretty spot on about what looks good or might do so I listened.

He also laughs at my dull metallic gold Miu Miu loafers. Calls them 'Nun on a Night Out' shoes.

shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 21:23

saw this and thought of MrsR

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 21:40

Gah! Site is awful tonight. love

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 29/08/2013 21:40

Why does MN keep going off line?

Marsha great question. Love them.....keep trying to honk of one but all I could ok up with was "what's your favourite cheese?" Cheese lover. Not appropriate

Anyway DH not at all interested in fashion as you know and generally likes what I wear ....except;
Black, cotton, frilly dress from Top Shop about 9 yrs ago. I loved it, girlfriends loved it, he really hated it....finally binned this summer.
When we met (20yrs ago Shock ) I was going through a Victorian phase and was looking irresistible in a grey pinstripe, ankle length pinafore dress and black button boots Shock he still takes the piss out of it.......worked though Wink

I have booked ticket for meet up.......really looking fwd to meeting all of you bit scared
