Is this too good to be true?

I may have found the £65 (out of stock in a 12) Atterley Road Gold sweatshirt for £17 in the sale [[http://selected.com/femme/sweat/nadi-ls-sweat-fj/5711649227929,en_GB,pd.html?__utmz=1%2e1377778825%2e1%2e1%2eutmgclid%3dCIiTjorSorkCFcaWtAodbnoAzQ%7cutmccn%3d%28not%20set%29%7cutmcmd%3d%28not%20set%29&__utmx=-&__utmc=1&__utmv=-&__utmb=1%2e145%2e8%2e1377780807719&__utma=1%2e782564820%2e1377778825%2e1377778825%2e1377778825%2e1&forcecountry=ES&__utmk=264633103 here but I'm not 100% sure it's the same sweatshirt! It looks a slightly different colour (but could be the photography) and the fabric composition is different (but could be an error!)

What do you think? Shall I just buy it and see? There's a minimum spend of £35.. I don't think Atterley road would price match down to £17!! But I could make it up with snazzy socks... What to do, what to do!

Umlauf · 29/08/2013 13:59

Sorry about the monster link, not sure what happened!!

mignonette · 29/08/2013 14:12

Wow Umlauf I like the sweatshirt but am a bit old for it I think. It is very 'Ragga girl' or could be styled that way. I would go quite haute w/ it and wear w/ pencil skirt or long skirt, heels and bag. Or evening pants and shoes. I'd maybe wear a lace edged top underneath with the lace edge peeking out from underneath. That'd look good I think.

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2013 14:13

Somewhere else Umlauf? I say go for it. Colour can often be different, not sure on composition.

Umlauf · 29/08/2013 14:36

Yes, really odd. I bought it but I have a bad feeling! I don't know why, it looks lovely on the Atterley Rd site but not so good on the other site, so im really hoping its actually nice and not down to clever photography, but at £17 instead of £65 its worth the risk I think. I've had an awful day so far grappling in vain with Spanish bureaucracy so felt like a needed a treat!

I love your suggestions mig I think I'll wear it with black whistles pencil skirt (assuming its good when it arrives!) and black ponte trousers from Zara until I can fit into my leather coated black jeans again. With black lace sounds beautiful, makes me think of Alice Cooper "black lace, on sweat(shirt)" Grin

mcnally that temperley is divine, it would be perfect for a winter wedding and the Christmas parties too. I love embellishment on sheer fabric.

mrsR great pinboard! I'm on Pinterest but mostly use it for home decor ideas and craft bits and pieces. I need to start pinning looks!

I found an Atterley Road 20% off code when thinking about the gold sweatshirt if anyone needs one: welcome2013

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2013 15:26

Let us know what it's like Umlauf. Hopefully a good'un.

Drywhiteplease · 29/08/2013 15:36

Umlauf when you've pasted the link, before closing the brackets leave a space and write "this" or "this top" etc then comment will show. Can't believe I'm telling something techy Grin

Thought to plumber was going to have a heart attack....but made some choc chip cookies and gave him a Brew and he seems to have recovered and is talking to me I owned it, hate blaming things on DH think it's cowardly

COS berry coloured skirt arrived but is sadly going back....about 4" too long, felt frumpy, shame because I loved the colour and style. Please help me find a purple skirt........or maybe I'll just get the cobalt Hobbs or just save my money for a month until I've paid off my visa bill

LinusDKD · 29/08/2013 15:38

Is it too early for Wine?

DS is driving me insane today. Angry I can't wait for DH to come home and take over. Unfortunately I have a parent meeting at the nursery tonight from 7 to 9 so I'll have to wait even longer for my Wine.

Drywhiteplease · 29/08/2013 15:41

Poor you linus..... It will taste lovely at 9pm.......chocolate will sort you out in the mean time!

LinusDKD · 29/08/2013 15:45

Just had a sneeky one of these! Yum!

DS watching Mr. Bloom's nursery so hasn't noticed a thing.

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2013 15:46

haha good one Linus Grin

Annianni · 29/08/2013 16:02

My whole house smells of chocolate cake

It's dh's birthday, so Ds2 has 'helped' to make the cake.
There's smears of chocolate everywhere!

I actually like decorating. I'm ok wallpapering, as long as I'm left alone and have peace and quiet to concentrate.
I'm fab with flat pack furniture.
I can't however, drill into a wall without cocking it up.
And I can't hammer a nail in, without hurting myself! :o

Anyone else counting down the days until school starts?
Ds1 is driving me insane!
All he seems to be doing is winding up Ds2.

Annianni · 29/08/2013 16:03

Your poor plumber Dry :o

How long is the build supposed to take?

santamarianovella · 29/08/2013 16:21

Great bargain umlauf'hope it's the exact one,

Poor you linus, chocolate ,looks yummy, defiantly earned it!

The dcs are busy with their Legos,so had some free time to do some AW browsing,
I love this silk shirt dress, with ankle boots and leather jacket,or over the knee and chunky long sweater for colder days, if only my-wardrobe had them then I could order them with my loyalty card a long with the iro jacket, and sweater

santamarianovella · 29/08/2013 16:42

Want this blouse, like the 70s feel of it,
Call me eurotrash, but I absolutely love jacket. Hope it's included in the h&m collaboration.

ani,Envy at your skills, although i should ace in diy I'm terrible, and always need help!

OneLittleLady · 29/08/2013 16:45

That's a very spangly jacket santa you'd be easy to spot in that Grin

shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 17:39

Linus DH and I are always found in the kitchen, hiding, eating things we shouldn't :)
And yes, I can't wait until next week - I'm so over the park, zoo, playmates, park, zoo, playdates rotation
Santa Love the shirt dress and the blouse. Jacket a bit Joan C for me sorry!
Dry good work with the plumber - reward yourself with wine later.

I have decided that any money left in the food account each month will go towards my Pistol fund - is that bad? As a result I may feed DS and DH baked beans for a month - do you think they'll notice?

santamarianovella · 29/08/2013 17:58

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2013 18:04

Love the blouse Santa, we haven't met yet but I reckon you could rock that jacket.

Shop school back next week here too. Better prep the uniform/ get some shoes! (For ds)

mignonette · 29/08/2013 18:08

Love the Marant Santa. Would look great worn Tom Ford Gucci style w/ black velvet straight leg evening pants, blowy hair and a big lipstick smile!

santamarianovella · 29/08/2013 18:20

Shop my kids love b beans ...they want to move in with you !Grin
Anni approx 2 wks plumbing, it's a big job. Then builder in from 23 Sept for 4-6 weeks. Then he's back in May doing the big one........haven't a clue how long that will last, 6 weeks? All in all my home will be upside down on and off for a while. Will be worth it.
DS has just had some friends over........I just said " hi, welcome to the mess," half a sofa in the family room, no furniture in dining room, contents of utility in hall. Must think we're weird...

Decameron · 29/08/2013 18:38

Santa, I love that blouse, beautiful.

Shop, I think that sounds like a perfectly reasonable plan. You must get those Pistols. :)

Well done on the decorating, Anni!

shopafrolic · 29/08/2013 19:19

Dry I can't care for one let alone more Grin
Thanks for the encouragement ladies, I knew you'd understand :)
