Also Amber wears me & em dresses, scroll down to find it.

libertychick · 15/08/2013 22:24

Mig sorry to hear work is so difficult - feel free to pm if you want to chat.

OneLittleLady · 15/08/2013 22:26

Thank you liberty Blush it's hard sometimes as I have very very few friends, maybe one or two that I'd say were true friends so I don't have many people being nice to me (apart from DP of course) Coming to MN and finding the S&B is one of the few things that keeps me going day to day as more often than not, I'm stuck in alone and speak to no one all day unless I have medical appointments and even then, no one chats, it's all just clinical stuff. It's very tiresome only having yourself for company sometimes, the conversation is a little...one sided Grin

Topazandpearl · 15/08/2013 22:26

Thanks Liberty. She is quite understanding (mostly!!) of my current need to give her frequent hugs.

libertychick · 15/08/2013 22:31

Awwwwww Topaz that's so sweet... I'll keep my eyes peeled for a coat.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/08/2013 22:43

If it's pencil-type skirts we're after, I tagged a page in the new Jack Wills season preview that came in the post today. Annoyingly it doesn't seem to be on t'website yet. It's called the Brinford skirt and a bargain at £29.50. Six colourways inc narrow horizontal stripes and bodycon shape. Very nice.

mignonette · 15/08/2013 22:44

Topaz I'm so very happy to hear of your DD's success. What a big step for you all. Having seen three children through university and two others into vocational/training, it is a special time. I will look out for a jacket. Barbour often have sales on so will see what i can find there.

Here are some -

ONe I echo Liberty's comment. You are not disgusting although I can understand that life and its challenges can make you feel that way especially when you feel like maybe you are having to battle your body. You can PM me you know any time for some 'bespoke' chat.

Leaving my clients in the lurch is what keeps me going. They have put up with enough absence from me. I will adjust. If I went PT I'd probably have to do the same amount of work in less hours [shocked]...

evening all,
loving the zara skort.
one good job on clearing your wardrobe,
sleep your holiday sounds amazing ,will you be going to vence this year? we are leaving to the south of france tomorrow.
mig sounds like an awful lot of stress for you, hope it gets better Flowers
ive just finished packing, and im beat, dreading the flight with the dcs,dh wont join us till saturday, thank god sil and her family are joining us,the idea of spending the night alone with the kids in a rented house scares me.

mignonette · 15/08/2013 23:01

Happy holidays Santa. France is quite the place this year. Hoping the flight goes okay. Packing loads of bribes used to work for me! Quite understand not wanting to be alone in a rented house. The night sounds very different doesn't it? Staying in my Fathers house once I left the French doors open as it was hot and we were under a mosquito net. The house was in a high walled compound so relatively safe but not from the nearby Farmers two Jack Russellls who came bounding into the room at Midnight and nearly killed me from fright...Grin

Eat loads, drink loads and enjoy! I'm off to bed now and will see you all of a morn xx

libertychick · 15/08/2013 23:18

mig last year, the owner of the house we rented near grimaud warned us about "le wild boar", living on his property, and only coming out of seclusion at night,we all burst out laughing thinking that its a joke,he looked at us seriously and said"non,no joke".that really took all fun out of having dinner alfresco Grin.

topz congrats to your dd,you should be out celebrating too!

OneLittleLady · 15/08/2013 23:34

My toes have finally stopped hurting Grin now, it may be the painkillers talking but I love you all. You're as close to a circle of real friends as I have ever had and I just want to hug you all Thanks Wine Cake for you all

libertychick · 15/08/2013 23:38

Thanks one!! Smile Sleep well.

QueenCadbury · 16/08/2013 06:46

mig I totally get where you're coming from. I miss the patients and clinical work but not all the other crap that goes with it. I see how stressed dh is and it's not the patients but all the admin and political side of things. Email/pm me if you need to chat. I thought I'd regret giving up nursing ( although I am still a registered nurse until next July if I change my mind!) but I really don't. I gave so many years of hard work and emotional investment, got where I wanted to be and feel the time is right to do something else. I'm hopefully going to start voluntary work in the autumn if I can work out child are with the training dates.

topsz congrats to dd. please all stop pinning barbours as I really love some of them but not sure I can justify when I have a north face Grin. They're worth looking at too, will post some in a minute.

one I must have missed your post but I reiterate what the others say. As someone said a couple of days ago, this thread is so much more than just fashion.

liberty I have only tried the green one, intense violet (love it!) and fushisa (which was a lovely colour but patchy due to the material being dyed).

QueenCadbury · 16/08/2013 06:53

my north face jacket. Bought it 2 or 3 years ago and it's so warm and waterproof. No hood though but I wear a Barbour hat.

north face. Love this one.

Drywhiteplease · 16/08/2013 07:17

Mig so sorry you feel bad about work, I think you should write a book about women and their clothes........all I can say is that on here we value your brilliant fashion contributions and understanding when people are low.Flowers
One it's a lovely group on here....about a lot more than fashion Flowers
And Topaz congrats again to your daughter....great news. A levels are a bugger!

Topazandpearl · 16/08/2013 07:29

Thank you for the congratulations and thanks to Mig, Liberty and Queen for the coat suggestions. I will show them to DD when she surfaces, which is likely to be much later!
Mig and One, I hope you have a better day today x

Sleepwhenidie · 16/08/2013 07:33

Good morning everyone, it is 8.30am here and all 3 DC's are still sleeping, it's a miracle! Typically if course, I am wide awake with no need to be - except to chat to you Smile. the temptation to make myself coffee and catch up on links is huge but I'm scared I will wake someone Smile

Topaz well done to your DD, how exciting for her, bittersweet for you though, I am only too aware if how time is flying by with young DC's filling the days! Do you have a budget in mind for the coat?

Santa we have a week more here then go to Vence for the final week of the hols. Where are you going? We may bump into each other Grin!

foxysocks · 16/08/2013 09:52

oh well done to your DD topaz! i remember a level results day so well, I was so scared. missed my grades by one but luckily still got in to my no 1 choice, extra good as if i hadn't wouldn't have met my DH Grin

been prancing around in my shades admiring my reflection in all the different mirrors

ok a little (hypothetical, unfortunately) challenge - £1,000 to spend at NaP. what would you buy?

Drywhiteplease · 16/08/2013 10:09

I think I really need this dress..........is there any quality difference between Baukjen and Me +Em?

Foxy great challenge....will have a peek and report back

Annianni · 16/08/2013 10:09

Easy peasy Foxy... I'd buy a PS1

I think I'll take the boys to the sea side today for a run about.

I'm wallpapering Ds2's new bedroom tomorrow, so for my dh's sanity, I think some fresh air will do them good today :o

Annianni · 16/08/2013 10:12

Well done to Topaz's dd.

Lovely dress Dry.

mignonette · 16/08/2013 10:36

Thank you all for your kindness. It's a shock to my system going back I guess. I will post later when I have some time. Have lovely day (Am in yesterdays outfit bar clean T shirt underneath-slut that I am).

xx

OneLittleLady · 16/08/2013 13:54

God, I'm so tired. I was having really scary dreams about being in the Overlook Hotel (the hotel from The Shining) even after waking and then going back to sleep. I kept waking up terrified and crying. Not at all restful. No idea why though as I haven't watched or read The Shining for years Hmm

Today is a lazy fashion day, floral printed wrap dress, burgundy tights, purple cardigan and gold studded black flats. Too tired for a real effort today
