libertychick · 21/08/2013 23:35

Have pm'd you novice, bed for me, I am blaming you lot for my lack of sleep....

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:40

Grin dry

I've seen a little burgundy patent leather VW bag in our local HOF outlet. I'm seriously considering, since there is only one of them and I desperatly want it, asking if they will keep it to one side for me until I have the money to buy it. They'll probably say no but I don't think it can hurt to ask can it.

BrandyAlexander · 21/08/2013 23:43

That's it Dry you tell her!!

MrsRadicchio · 22/08/2013 08:18

Just popping in to say RED13 gets 20% off at Ren - I think someone was mentioning them before?

shopafrolic · 22/08/2013 08:22

That's a bugger MrsR - I just bought my REN face mask yesterday! Grin

Greetings from sunny Cornwall!
novice don't worry, I know that none of you are men. He was very Hmm when I admitted that I didn't know all your names but then when I was able to tell him so much about you all (where you live/what you do/how many kids etc) and that I'd met one of you he's reassured. Still thinks I'm mad, but reassured!

one I'm with dry. Stop putting yourself down. You ate very pretty and have a very defined style. When I meet people initially I always compare myself unfavourably to them and never feel that I match up to their clothes etc. I'm getting better as I get older though.

dry I'm definitely there in oct until 8pm. I get into paddington.

MarshaBrady · 22/08/2013 08:40

Grumpy that is terrible. So annoying and dispiriting I hope you get the back very soon, argh for you.

Dry you are lovely and right Grin.

Shop I know, the weather! iPhone keeps changing, now rain nooo.

shopafrolic · 22/08/2013 08:40

Nice website selling stuff for boys

QueenC if it's any help I can vouch for everyone I've met. All lovely! Of course you haven't met me yet so not sure that helps!

One if feeling negative / posting that way do a link to something pretty or of course grungy instead Smile.

QueenCadbury · 22/08/2013 08:50

I have found another object of desire

Sleepwhenidie · 22/08/2013 08:50

Good morning!

It sounds like there should be quite a few at the MU in October. Re where to go, Queen do you have a shortlist of shops you want to get to? If you give us that we can narrow down locations. Marylebone High St is fab but mostly higher end, it also has the advantage of Selfridges at the end of it Wink. But I think you mentioned Massimo Dutti (and Banana R), which would be more Regent St (in which case we could have a drool at stuff in Liberty?)

Novice good luck with the house offer, I did think your cost estimate sounded high for cosmetic stuff, we practically rebuilt our house for not much more than that Grin.

One - just to reiterate what Dry said, you must stop putting yourself down. It would be great to meet you in October Smile.

shopafrolic · 22/08/2013 08:52

That's a stunner QueenC
Marsha is a psycho bunny killer who eats weevils for breakfast, but apart from that she's a delight. Tell your DH to worry not Grin

Mwah hahaha Grin

MarshaBrady · 22/08/2013 09:02

I'm reading The Times in a cafe and there's a pic of Anna Wntour grinning at and near to Roger Federer. First time I've seen a pic of her smiling, mind you I don't blame her. Federer is probably one of the few that can prompt it.

QueenC stunning.

QueenCadbury · 22/08/2013 09:16

sleep I'm hoping that my sil is taking me shopping next week to Westfield in Stratford so I may be able to get to look in unique/cos etc. if not then I will draw up a shortlist of where to go.

BrandyAlexander · 22/08/2013 09:29

Morning! So our offer has been rejected, which we were expecting. We went in at 90% of sale price. They say they will settle at 95% because we are effectively "cash" buyers with no chain so waiting for dh to let me know what he thinks. Sleep, yes dh is a huuuge drama queen when it comes to money. He is so pessimistic that everyone once in a while, I have to tell him to stop because it wears me out!

Where has all this rain come from?! Am at home today so i took the dcs to nursery and was chucking it down. Could I find my raincoat? Nope! And no idea why because all my coats sectioned together in dressing room. Clearly a system failure!Hmm

BrandyAlexander · 22/08/2013 09:31

QueenC that is divine. If I was taller I would be snapping it up!

mignonette · 22/08/2013 09:34

Good Morning.

Marsha Anna Wintour has always had a little crush on Federer. She was mooning over him in The September Issue.

Interesting catching up w/ all the chat last night. We went out to sample gelato in Long Acre after Mexican at Wahaca (not authentic at all despite its claims). Was woken up at 2 a.m by twat neighbours sitting on their flat roof firing a BB gun at their shed. I was livid and went outside to have a go. They have been Abigails party central since moving in and are middle aged/middle class.

I have been looking for new boots and these Jigsaw mid calfs are a casual possibility. I'm not sure about this style as worried higher boots may be a little ageing? I always need rugged Bikers and a decent pair of ankle/shoe boots.

I'm considering these as a compromise and these as my Grunge walking shoe for light walking, not mountaineering or anything.

Opinions on these as unsure whether the heel shape looks a little dated already?

Wanted this but out of my size Sad. DH would hate it though!

QueenCadbury · 22/08/2013 09:47

Glad you all like it but is more than I wanted to pay especially for polyester and I'd need to get 3 or 4 inches chopped off the bottom which may well ruin the cut.

mig I like the jigsaw boots and I also like the knee length boots. However as you say are they ageing? They are the boot length that suit me best as ankle/calf do tend to make me look stumpy. I didn't wear my knee high ones last year as was worried they'd be dated but I'm thinking of resurrecting them this year. Not sure about the ones with wooden heel but that's a personal preference thing.

OneLittleLady · 22/08/2013 09:53

morning all. I will try to curb the negativity, I really will try. All of you are very kind saying I'm pretty, it's made me turn a lovely shade of pink Grin

I'm off to check out the tartan skinnies I saw in Primark today, they are purple and black which only adds to my love of them but it all depends on fit, if they are the ultra skinnies, there's no way they'll go over my calves! If they are no good, I saw some petrol blue ones in New Look which may be a better fit.

mignonette · 22/08/2013 10:12

Queen Loved the jumpsuit eye candy. I think knee highs make me look old but other women wear them well. I think I am not tall enough.

One You are a grown up Snow White with that clear pale skin and dark hair. Nothing about you is hard on the eye. Be kinder to yourself. And enjoy trying on the tartans. I think they suit a curve. Patterns like that can be very flattering.

OneLittleLady · 22/08/2013 10:16

Thank you mig Blush

I really want the tartan skinnies but have to be realistic, I know the ultra skinnies don't fit me there so will look for a back up plan in case they are wrong for me.

McNally · 22/08/2013 10:38

DVF is lovely QueenC. Although it is £££ for polyester it might be worth trying on just to see... It is ultra elegant.

Looking for pointy flats. Love these cheetah print ones but don't want the faff or expense of international delivery/returns. These gold Boden ones are nice as long as the colour is muted irl.

Grin at Marsha as psycho bunny killer!

Lovely pic One.

Loving hearing about all the holidays BTW.

shopafrolic · 22/08/2013 10:41

I think there are Boden animal print ones too aren't there McNally

One IME positivity breeds positivity. Look in the mirror, tell yourself you look good every day, stop the negative words, do more stuff.... it all helps. The less time you put yourself down, the better you'll feel about yourself. :)
