One you are such a cutie!! And yes, I think you do suit black.

Shop me, me, me if you are having a black clothes sell off - I thought you looked amazing in the red levi dress at the MU and your rose gold watch, arty ring etc all really suited you so you looked to me like you really suited an autumn palette. BUT I do think black is classic and I think if you are wearing make up (and your make up is great) then you would look good in black. I am self diagnosed winter - keep meaning to go and get it checked! Would have to lie down in a darkened room for a year if I was told otherwise! BTW I like that top you linked for me the other day but not shopping ATM....

Grumpy what a total arse that client is - I have just received payment today that was 4 months overdue and I was livid. Are you not tempted to put the horses in a trailer and leave them in his front garden????? I guess you wouldn't let the animals suffer....my Dad and uncle once went around to the house of a client who wasn't paying up and calmly proceeded to start removing the roof they had put on his house 6 months previously Grin - they got their money quite quickly that day!!!!

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 22:22

I'm also a self diagnosed winter liberty (thank you btw) I am always drawn to blacks and deeper jewel tones and look awful in pastels, brown and yellow.

BBC weather says 21 and rainy for Saturday Shock

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 21/08/2013 22:54

Thanks for all your support - you lot are the best!

A*hole has actually paid me 2k this evening - barely a dent but better than nowt. At the last count our debtors list stood well into six-figures Shock. I could have bought myself a 2.55 with some of that and nobody would have even noticed!

One you are a very bonny lass, as my granddad would have said. Black does look good on you.

I always treated black as my go-to staple, until I saw myself in photos and I looked a scraggy mess. Mind you, I don't tend to photograph particularly well, so I'm none the wiser really.

Off to bed now. Goodnight my lovelies and thanks again Flowers

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 22:55

Blush thanks grumpy I hope that arsehole coughs up the rest of what he owes soon, it's obscene that he thinks it's ok to have you do so much work and then have the cheek not to pay you for your time.

Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 23:01

Right, back from dinner..
shop anyone who drives on a pavement is an arse and deserves to be reported....this is how children die! Good on you hope he gets told off doubt itSad

I could not live without black but doubt it suits me and an weaning myself off it.

Julianne Moore is my style crush...I love her, her beautiful pale skin (mine....bit pink at the moment), the hair I was auburn before kids, her Gucci thing, her class...gorgeous woman.

I'm hoping to come to MU in Oct but, because I'm coming so far( and will have o get kids on sleepovers) want to meet everyone so waiting to hear who's defo coming.

One right, I've had a few and I'm adopted Yorkshire, so I'm going to be straight talking now......from now on you are going to stop running yourself down and I'll be the voice on your shoulder . We. Are all into our fashion here,££££ or £ doesn't seem to matter, some of us are statuesque and some of us are little ( best things come in small packages Wink ), some of us are small and some are curvy (I'm not Envy at bosoms her at all!).....but we are all luscious fashionistas, and you are one of the club. You have your own fabulous style, contribute intelligently (unlike moi, idiot) and seem like a jolly nice woman....please stop running yourself down, because you sound to me like a beautiful person whose had a few knocks but is still standing in a very dignified way.

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:02

thank you dry you made me cry just a little there Blush I guess I just find it hard to see the good in myself even though I see it in everybody else. must try harder Grin

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 23:05

Here here Dry clinks glass

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:08

I'll do my best to get to the Oct MU a lot depends on DP and whether he's home or away for work. I better work fast though as train tickets are way cheaper in advance!

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:12

Where in London is the meet up usually? which train station is closest? I've only been to kings cross station before so its the only one i know Blush

libertychick · 21/08/2013 23:13

Amen to that Dry!!! And one regarding a meet up I was nervous about what to wear before the one I went too but honestly IRL the people I met from here are even lovelier in person - and after 2 glasses of prosecco who cares what anyone is wearing Grin

Dry I plan to be there on the 12th Oct - I am just waiting for my DB and SIL to confirm when they are visiting us - they have 3 very young DC so arranging childcare difficult so I don't want to rule out any dates with them - I am hoping they will confirm soon.

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 23:14

Not sure DH will love me if I add a Mulberry handbag to the list for you too Liberty! Will defo bear you in mind:)
Thanks for tip off about Autumn thread earlier (was that you Queen?) I've jumped on in.
Night Grumpy. As I relived your tale I wondered if his wife knows he's in debt?

OP posts:
libertychick · 21/08/2013 23:15

A venue has not been sorted for the Oct MU yet one but once I have confirmed I can go to it I am happy to arrange to meet you at whatever station you arrive at and travel with you to the MU.

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 23:16

One different locations each time. I'd guess Oct will be central so Kings Cross works. It's where my train gets into too. Easy tube journey from there.

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:16

That would be great if I can make it liberty I don't know London well at all as I've been less than a handful of times.

libertychick · 21/08/2013 23:18
shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 23:21

Liberty thanks for complimenting my outfit that day - it means I'm heading in the right direction wardrobe wise.
And you're right, after the first glass I was too interested in the chat to care what people were wearing. So nice to realise how fab everyone is. I feel lucky to have added you lot to my group of friends. (I'm not pissed BTW)

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 23:22

Liberty there's a matching purse too LOL

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 23:23

one don't worry about travel....I get into KCross and could meet you there, if I don't make it we will get you there.

BrandyAlexander · 21/08/2013 23:23

One, you have fantastic bosomsEnvyWink (err to (QueenC's ?) suspicious dh, I am not a man!) and I agree with Dry.

Liberty, have just pm'd you.

I second what Liberty said about everyone being lovely.xxx

libertychick · 21/08/2013 23:25

Grin Grin

Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 23:28

And One women always think other women are more chic, cleverer, more attractive, better parents, have better marriages, jobs etc......it's just a facade, they're all paddling frantically under the surface .......unlike me, now I am perfect Wink
Need to go to bed before I start singing ColdPlay again..........

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:29

I'm off to Manchester in Spetember to see the oh so fabulous reformed Soundgarden, I must start outfit planning in advance! We are standing so heels are out unless they are beyond comfortable. I'm thinking leopard print skinnies or the plaid skinnies I'm planning on buying, brouges, and a black shirt and black or white vest. It'll be too hot for a cardigan in the standing area and I will leave my leather biker jacket in the car for the way home as I don't trust cloakrooms in such places

Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 23:29

Novice so happy about the house....fingers crossed.xx

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 23:33

Thank you novice I'd happily share! They garner a lot of unwanted attention as given that I'm so short, they look rather huge if you look at me sideways on!

I know dry I'm just my own worst enemy. I just feel like I never measure up and it's so hard for me to see what other people do. I know deep down I'm not a bad person, I just always think there's so much more I could do or be and I never feel like I'm good enough as I am even though other people tell me I am. It's hard work trying to break through my own self pitying moods and seeing what other people see. I'm starting therapy soon to try and break these bad habits so hopefully that will go some way towards giving me a bit more self esteem Smile

You are all very kind and I feel very lucky to have been so readily accepted even though I'm a mardy bum Grin
