Take him to court Grumpy. People like that live a life carefully constructed to 'impress' others when in fact they often live beyond their means. and if he does have the cash to pay you then that makes him beyond a B***d.

Yes, not catering to the straight market which is why I like the cheese.

Linus Those Loubs are fierce. Great choice.

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 16:46

The Loubs are indeed fierce. I have a small savings pot put to one side to save up for some loubs for my sister. She's really into shoes and I know she'd just die if she had a pair. I haven't told her though because saving for them will be a long process

mignonette · 21/08/2013 16:50

One How lovely of you. I bought my sis a MJ bag years ago. She still uses it every day.

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 16:52

Money is very tight mig so it's a painfully slow saving process but I just know she'd absolutely adore them. She's a very girly girl and loves high heels so I know she'd not only love them but also take amazing care of them. I plan to surprise her with them once I've saved up enough Grin

mignonette · 21/08/2013 17:10

That makes it all the lovelier One.

Sleepwhenidie · 21/08/2013 17:12

I like the sandals Linus. I have these similar ones from MW and I'm pleased with them so far. If you are ordering from that website note the lead time is looong!

Grumpy what a headache with that guy, hope you get the money back.

Novice you sound a bit cooler about the house? Marsha any news on your moving?

One your sister is very lucky having you Smile

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 17:13

Blush I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet or anything. I just know she'd love them far more than I could ever love a pair of shoes! She's a PITA most of the time but it never hurts to be kind to someone, family or not, if you have the ability to be Smile

mignonette · 21/08/2013 17:19

Quite right one. Kindness goes a long long way in keeping things smoothed over.

Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 18:07

Grumpy That sucks.the You Tube clip made me smile Mig ( glad you're ok)
Foxy I'm sharing your joy with a marguerita!

We walked to "Guernseys prettiest bay" today...not accessible by car. As we turned a corner, got our first glimpse , I broke loudly into "Paradise" by Coldplay, followed in my booming voice
" it's fabulous and no one but us kids"....bumped into a couple on a bench......Blush

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 18:13

Just had a row with a guy whose car had mounted the pavement right by my front door because he couldn't be bothered to give way! He was beyond rude about it so I reported it to the police and have written to my MP. No doubt nothing will happen but I am Angry Angry Angry

Just took a look at this Matches top 10 and am starting to feel I need to jump on the leather leggings band wagon.......

QueenCadbury · 21/08/2013 18:29

one that's a lovely thing to do.

grumpy hope you get the money.

sleep I'm currently in fat face sweater and sweat pants!

linus love your forward planning for next summer!

foxy glad you love them. I look forward to seeing them! No idea yet where I will shop in London. Will obviously ask you guys for advice as it's been years since I shopped in central London.

It's been a lovely day. I went for a long cycle this morning and this afternoon we've been to the beach again. All the times we've holidayed in this country before it's always pissed it down and I've so wanted my dc to spend a summer holiday on the beach as I used to as a kid so it's been lovely to have nice weather. It's also been relatively cheap not having to spend a fortune visiting farms/soft play etc! About to crack open the Chablis!

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 18:34

Foxy great news about the boots - they sound fab.
Grumpy awful money situation. Sign of the times I fear with people scared to admit they're struggling financially. No reason at all why you should have to carry others though - I agree with Mig threaten him with court.
Sleep hope the blood comes out and that everyone is unscarred!

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 21/08/2013 18:35

I agree QueenC we had all but given up on Uk and France because of lousy weather over the last 5 years (admittedly never the Med)....so being so close to home and to have amazing weather is really the icing on the cake.

Shop Fermain Bay near St Peter Pt.....lovely but not sandy.

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 18:36

Dp is away for the next two nights in central London for work and I'm stuck at home washing his pants Envy

shopafrolic · 21/08/2013 18:37

Foxy thanks for the jumper link BTW. I'm scared off mohair after I shrunk my lovely prune A&W knit last year. Am still trying to rewash and stretch back into shape so at that price I'd better not risk it. But the colour is ace.

LinusDKD · 21/08/2013 19:24

Yes, fierce shoes for a very fierce DM Hmm

one that is such a thoughtful thing to do for your DS!

shop those ankle boots you linked last night are really something special.

santa such a cute skirt for DD!

foxy yay! The boots seem to be all you hoped they would be and more!

sleep I heard that the wait for those sandals is looong, so maybe I should order them now so I get them in time for SS14? Wink

The holiday is definitely over because DH is traveling again this week. Sad I don't think I'll ever get used to it.

BrandyAlexander · 21/08/2013 19:27

Hello everyone! Love the links. Poor you Grumpy. Queen C am loving your holiday with you.Smile

So dh and I looked at house again and realised we were overestimating costs. We have put in an offer this afternoon but for less than asking. We're waiting to hear back. The fact that we are chain free is a bonus.

It's my last work day for almost 2 weeks so I decided to wear an orange Ann Taylor DVF style dress. Felt fab!

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2013 19:47

Linus that's tough, you'll have to do an impromptu fly over and join us for a mu Smile.

LinusDKD · 21/08/2013 19:54

Tempting marsha!

I loooove these but I am on a shopping ban.

Someone else please buy them!

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2013 19:57

Someone get them they are gorgeous! Not my size.

Foxy I agree re the Outnet I love it atm. This season's stuff.

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2013 20:07

Love that top ten list. Can see why you love the leather leggings Shop. That navy Stella M blazer looks good, I usually don't think I can do blazers. But that looks really nice.

Novice fingers crossed.

Argh patchy catch up again, dc.

OneLittleLady · 21/08/2013 20:11

I love THIS I do like skull patterns and things though, it may be related to one of my childhood dreams of being a pirate Grin

QueenCadbury · 21/08/2013 20:26

Yay, both dh and I are knackered so have given each other permission to play about on our own iPads rather than talk to one another tonight! I can now legitimately talk to you ll Grin.

marsha I also don't think I can do blazers-just too structured for me- but I am determined to try some on again this a/w.
