Grumpy Grin

shopafrolic · 20/08/2013 21:13

Yes Dry - if DH fixes himself a drink and forgets me it's a stackable offence :)

Don't get me wrong, those Tiffany solitaires are beautiful, but very classic. And I'm not terribly classic, am I? It's like the Prada totes - they are so lovely, but I'd look daft with one. He just didn't 'get' me, my ex-fiancé.

Division of labour in our house is:

DH: His job, the bins
Me: my job, kids, food, house, car, shopping , laundry etc etc.

shopafrolic · 20/08/2013 21:16

LOL Grumpy

Ooh what to wear for mini-MU?

shopafrolic · 20/08/2013 21:17

I forgot the bins Amber I even do those now!

shopafrolic · 20/08/2013 21:19

I have no clue what to wear Amber I wanted cold weather so I could do jeans and a black top to get everyone's votes..... But it looks as though the sun will still be shining. Flat shoes for me (as per) because I'm out West in the morning so will be tube stomping. Maybe my Whistles khaki dress.......

Oh the bins. He does them but I say take out the bin it's full. Just take out the bin! I don't want to ask!

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2013 21:23

What to wear hmm. I might get a Yoejin Bae silk dress dry cleaned. With flats probably (not too dressy, you know me!). Otherwise it's veering close to J Crew shorts.

AmberNectarine · 20/08/2013 21:24

I'll be in flats, probably looking like your adopted child shop - I think you, Marsha and foxy are all about a foot taller than me!

Dry So glad that didn't turn into a Love Actually 'gift for the OW' story. Felt a bit anxious when I read the first line but was laughing by the end. Very funny but my god I bet you had to use a good bluff.

DH bought me a grater for one of my birthday gifts. I did want one Grin. The sandals were a better buy though. He has bought me some lovely things but tends to listen carefully for my suggestions then remembers them. He often buys me perfume but only fresh bottles of what he knows i wear a lot. He wouldn't dream of buying me something untried. I buy his colognes but he has tastes that predate moi. He wears Givenchy Pi which is so delicious on him. Gorgeous jewel like amber if that makes any sense.

We tend to muddle along w/ no particular 'roles' regarding who buys what. I guess I have bought most of the home stuff, most of the plantings (although we have a shared vision of what the gardens should be like) but I choose bed linen and decor w/ him in mind because he wouldn't like a frilly or girly bed. So we have pretty gender neutral bedding and colours. DH has lovely taste in decorative stuff and he often trawls antiques places to buy me things like Milk glass, French glassware, Paste brooches (lovely Dragonfly one) and linen tablecloths. He does come home w/ crap from a skip useful bits and pieces which I lob in the bottomless pit of a shed after praising him as if he was a Caveman coming home w/ a large dead mammoth.

Drywhiteplease · 20/08/2013 21:27

oh forgot the bins........DH always home late, couldn't wait for him to do it...but......DS is big enough to do it now Grin

Same clothing meet up dilemma as last time....why don't you all stop stressing and just wear what you wore last time?!Grin.....or you could all wear tartan?Wink would be easy to spot!

OneLittleLady · 20/08/2013 21:28

I do all the housework as DP really is useless at it,his flat was a hovel very untidy before I moved in. I do insist he does the cat litter try and take out the bins though.

shopafrolic · 20/08/2013 21:30

Dry when you come to a mu you'll see it's part of the fun Grin. Shopping together for ages, still how do I have nothing to wear! What to wear?

Drywhiteplease · 20/08/2013 21:30

Has anyone else noticed that Tracey Eminent doesn't look at all pleased to be in M and S new ads? love Tracey, cool woman

Drywhiteplease · 20/08/2013 21:31

EMIN!!!! For goodness sake!

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2013 21:31

AmberNectarine · 20/08/2013 21:31

my DH said to me the other day 'remind me to get my mum a potato peeler for Christmas' (she was peeling potatoes with a knife when we went for lunch) - I suggested we just buy her one, rather than make it a Christmas gift! Honestly...

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2013 21:32

Argh that etc was to last post.

Yes Emin! She is VW usually. Times must be tough... Or not.

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2013 21:33

Drywhiteplease · 20/08/2013 21:33
