TEARS!!!!!

AmberNectarine · 18/08/2013 17:52

Yeah luxe grunge is cashmere, hammered silk, Wang/Helmut Lang/Rick Owens, Pistols etc.

I do like a bit of flannel for A/W!

foxysocks · 18/08/2013 18:12

Oh yes, me too amber. Flannel is a great call.

Zoo day tomorrow. Thinking skinnies and neon tee so they can find me in a crowd.

Drywhiteplease · 18/08/2013 18:43

Yes nothing khaki foxy!

LinusDKD · 18/08/2013 19:21

shop how is DS today? And you?

mig I hope you're feeling better after that encounter in the supermarket.

foxy those boots are lovely, I hope they are as nice IRL!
Oh and that's so sweet that your DD loved that handbag and fell asleep with it.

dry I love everything about that skirt, especially the colour.

As I was a teenager when grunge was fashionable the first time around I don't think I'll be doing it all over again. I do love flannel though so I might be persuaded by a nice flannel shirt.

shopafrolic · 18/08/2013 19:48

DS much better behaved today (perhaps tired after holiday?). He's sporting a v bruised cheek, I'm getting looks Confused. We took him to the zoo this morning, neon is a good call Foxy. And the park and a pasta place this afternoon / evening. He's gone to bed with washed hair (smelling yummy) and talking about meatballs and ice cream. DH back to work tomorrow :(
Loving the luxe grunge chat - and your watch Amber
I need THE jumper, a skirt, tights and some chunky boots. Will watch people's choices with interest. Will be interested how people vote on black on me on Saturday..... Fingers crossed it's not too bad as otherwise grungy biker is a little challenging!
Mig I've spent many a time hidden in the fruit and veg section of my local supermarket to avoid people I dislike! I find looking at marrows is a good distraction!
Dry I never knew that about you and Madonna Grin

I'm thinking, tulle skirt, fishnets, velvet DM's , cashmere vest/jumper and leather biker jacket. I have this fabulous picture of it in my head, I'm just not sure I'll live up to it Grin

BrandyAlexander · 18/08/2013 20:19

Poor you Mig. Yes, I am off to the CP in East Anglia. It is more flat than the one near Bath so better for young cyclists. We cycle everywhere during the week and kids are knackered at the day! last time we hired the one with the outdoor jacuzzi. We drank a lot of bubbles in it. Dh was a v lucky man all week!Wink Ahhh, I am so dim.... i think I have just worked out why he wanted to hire one with a jacuzzi again.Grin

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 20:23

Grin novice

LinusDKD · 18/08/2013 20:31

An Equipment shirt for dry

shirt

Oh and havs at £11 on the Donna Ida website. Both bright colours though.

Drywhiteplease · 18/08/2013 20:42

Oh linus I think that's my first ever random link by someone else and I love it! You remembered I love that colour.

Grin at shop ...I talk a lot but would really be at a loss to know what to say to someone holding a marrow in the supermarket!!!!
Whenever they have a Bogof on melons I always have a little chuckle to myself....simple pleasures !Grin

MrsRadicchio · 18/08/2013 20:48

Enjoy your holiday Novice. Haven't been to centreparcs yet but imagine it will happen someday.

Nice outfit One - have you found a tulle skirt you like?

I'm on the fence with grunge as I did see it first time round, though definitely with Linus when it comes to flannel shirts and pyjamas

Lovely skirt Dry, I feel like I have seem something similar, will have a think. Like the idea of "impromptu years" Grin

Glad things are better with DS today, Shop.

Thanks for the link to those leopard flats - love them. Going to venture to a gap this week to see them in the flesh, hopefully.

Love the sound of your gardening Mig. Hope you are feeling better after unpleasant encounter in supermarket.

And Queen also jealous of your holiday, sounds great - including the relaxed dressing part!

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 21:00

I haven't found one yet mrsR I'm still looking for THE ONE. I'd like either black, grey or deep red if it can be found!

shopafrolic · 18/08/2013 21:18

Move fast on the leopard Gap flats MrsR. The blue are sold out on line and in my local store and the brown are only available in size 8 on line and all gone in size 5 and 6 in store today Sad I really wanted the blue.

I bought this grey sweater in Gap today along with a paisley print red and blue scarf - these items along with the asos boots and my Whistles biker are giving me a distinctly 90's vibe - I may join in with Marsha and one the move to grunge Smile.

On a slightly narky note I missed out on the Gap flats because I was waiting for the 30% discount and then in store today I got all angsty about paying full price as I really feel with the number of discounts Gap do that everything is probably overpriced to start with so I HATE paying full price there. I had to give myself a shake and tell myself to get over it as the time spent ordering/searching online, dealing with returns, printing out discount emails, going back to the shop next week etc is worth more than the £8 or so I was overpaying by - ok rant over!

Foxy boots are fantastic - really hope you love them when they arrive.

shopafrolic · 18/08/2013 21:36

The fact they were in today's ST Styke mag won't help either MrsR
Liberty I know what you mean, I love a voucher

The blue are sold out!! Noooooooooooooooooo!! Sad

libertychick · 18/08/2013 21:48

Try your local Gap in next day or two one - you never know.

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 21:54

I'm googling right now to find my nearest GAP store! I really love the blue ones, they'd tone really well with a lot of my clothes (think deep reds, purples, navy)

libertychick · 18/08/2013 21:57

Good luck with the hunt one Smile

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 21:58

Haha, I do love a good hunt liberty I am known to stalk things for months before I pounce (normally at heavily discounted prices Wink ) if I can't get those exact ones, it is now my mission to find something similar to adorn my feet!

libertychick · 18/08/2013 22:08

Marsha spotted this Lagerfeld 'homage' in Dotty P's today!

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 22:31

That's quite nice liberty I'd given up on Dotty P for a while as all they had in my local store was bodycon and stripper shoes Hmm

Turquoiseblue · 18/08/2013 22:40

Evening all :) very slightly hungover from dinner party last night - had a fun time spent today pottering with dh and the kids, woken by ds (6) clattering about the kitchen at 7.50am.... He ascended the stairs with 'breakfast in bed' for dh and I, cereal and milk served in my finest small salad bowl and large pasta dish, carried upstairs on a serving platter of my favourite pottery, (he couldn't find a tray! ) Oh bless I was so hungover, I never eat cereal anyhow but ate it all in pride (bleary eyed stomach lurching) ds beaming. He knew we would have been out late so tolde us he decided to bring us our breakfast so we wouldn't have to get up! It was just one of those moments.
Saw some lovely bits yesterday - will link shortly...
