For shop don't be ashamed of crying, bumps and bruises come and go and they are often the last straw when you've been so busy. A good old cry never hurt anyone and come September, you'll miss DS like crazy when he's at preschool/nursery but use the time to relax and think about YOU. Even the best mums need some time out for themselves Smile

BrandyAlexander · 18/08/2013 11:31

Its our annual Centre Parcs trip. We do new year and Easter overseas and then CP in the summer as the dcs love it.Smile

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 12:08

Shop your check coat is in the ST Style, very fashion forward as per usual Grin.

AmberNectarine · 18/08/2013 12:12

I've just booked Center Parcs for Sept novice - this will be our 10th visit I think.

I am wearing a black/white checked flannel shirt, vintage wash J Brands, Boden pink desert boots and my new watch which I bought with a voucher.

AmberNectarine · 18/08/2013 12:13

As I said on another thread, I'm doing grunge for A/W.

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 12:17

Love that watch Amber.

I very much like the idea of luxe-grunge. I may be pushing the boundaries of even mnvogue by saying that.

QueenCadbury · 18/08/2013 13:20

So I'm sitting on the balcony, ds is in the hot tub, dd napping and dh and dd are cycling. I have just had the most heavenly all over body scrub (although I declined my boobs being done) and back massage. The lodge is now being cleaned by a maid. I could get used to this Grin.

Sartorially, I am a disaster. Shorts and tee topped off with a fleece (north face though!). My hair is washed but not blow dried and my face is make up free. I quite like letting myself go for a week although I will make more effort when we go for dinner tonight I promise.

I've been reading the sunday times and there's an article about m&s. so far nothing on the website has grabbed me hugely but I look forward to looking irl.

shopafrolic · 18/08/2013 13:35

Check me out! Do you think they read it here first?

A rare day alone here for me - good job the laptop is in getting fixed or I could be trawling the Internet spending money...

Novice pleased the house looks a good thing. Very exciting for you and Envy at your Burberry coat!

Queen am doubly Envy Envy at the sound of your morning. My 'holiday' was that bad I feel I deserve another to compensate.

Hope everyone's enjoying the fine weather!

mignonette · 18/08/2013 15:30

All morning Cherry picking on the allotment now and about to embark on marathon cherry cook/preserve/freeze.

Making a Black Forest Meringue Pavlova, some Cherry and Vanilla preserves I think.

Also got plenty of beetroot, sweetcorn, gherkins ready for pickling, pink beans and peas. Set up for the week.

Had misfortune of encountering one of the ward managers who bullied and harassed me at work years ago in a supermarket earlier. Actually ended up with chest pains and SOB because I got so full of rage when I saw him. Very hard for me to shale off.
Grrrrr Angry

Love those boots Foxy. I always see boots as an investment buy because they can last so many years if they are looked after.

The Centre Parks holidayers- Are you going to the East Anglian one?

shopafrolic · 18/08/2013 15:33

MrsR have you already seen these?

Drywhiteplease · 18/08/2013 16:10

The colour, the style, the fabric......lovely and great. Amber doing luxe-grunge, I'm colour blocking .

Anyone seen anything similar? Cheaper....

Is it just me or is anyone else having difficulty pinning HNichs?

foxysocks · 18/08/2013 16:12

Shop, massive hugs to you my lovely. I so well know that reaction. I am a crier but have come to see it as a good thing - tears can be very cleansing. You have had an awfully stressful year, try to take it as easy as you can now you are back home. I will give you a big foxy hug on Saturday! X

Thanks for the boot love! I just adore them. The whistles dress had to go back, far too big, so that's a third of the £££ accounted for already

foxysocks · 18/08/2013 16:13

That is gorgeous dry. Lovely lovely colour

Fab watch amber, loving the idea of luxe grunge marsha!

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 16:17

Me me I'm doing some luxe-grunge, well Amber might be too. But you it first here folks. Wink

Not sure what it will entail exactly but will be good.

Lovely skirt Dry, gorgeous colour.

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 16:18

Ah x post Foxy Grin.

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 16:18

Sorry to hear that Mig hope you're ok.

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 16:20

I do grunge all year round whether it's in fashion or not Grin maybe this year I'll look fashionable for once Grin

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 16:21

mig hope you've recovered from it, sounds very stressful. You are strong though, don't let him get to you again

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 16:22

You will be in fashion One, time to shine! - well, in a grungy way.

foxysocks · 18/08/2013 16:27

DD saw a bag while we were out earlier, her eyes lit up so I let her try it on. Little flowery across body satchel type. She looked so cute and said she loved it so I got it for her as a gift for being so helpful and well behaved last week with DH away. She's just fallen asleep of the sofa with it clutched in her hands, haha. Obv her mothers daughter.

I will go for the luxe grunge clique fo sho. Bikers with the wang twist skirt, opaques and cashmere. Can cashmere ever be grunge?!

OneLittleLady · 18/08/2013 16:28

Anything can be grunge I think foxy you just have to style it right. I love the idea of being in fashion for once Marsha I'm always lagging behind but this time I'll be top of the class Grin

MarshaBrady · 18/08/2013 16:35

Yep! To both. Cashmere yes that's the luxe part, definitely. I have multiple I&I jumpers to deal with.

I missed out heard in my last post, heard it here first...

Drywhiteplease · 18/08/2013 16:59

Oh Mig that's horrid........hope you punched a cake to diffuse your anger one of the many things I've learnt on MN Grin

Shop I realised ages ago that waterproof mascara was the only way to go.....those impromptu years are a bugger Wink

I really want a purple and a red skirt this autumn. Wish list coming along nicely.

Swimming cossie on.....I know I should cover my face in factor 100 and wear a beach body suit like Madonna we're practically sisters but I just love the sun on my face, so to hell with the extra wrinkles
