I love this Marant;

Burberry

mignonette · 17/08/2013 16:28

Liberty Oh I do miss those early years....

mignonette · 17/08/2013 16:29

Liberty Awakening The smelly grunting heap that is a 19 year old son is not so lovable...

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2013 16:37

Liberty that is so cute. I love it when ds2 says he's busy. Usually doing something so simple, like tying string on a handle or something.

Mig love that Burberry Brit (of course!).

libertychick · 17/08/2013 16:38

Oh Mig I love it - I'd love to bottle her age 2 gorgeousness!! I have 4 younger brothers and a teenage sister so I know what the teenage years are like Grin

Great coat hunting!

libertychick · 17/08/2013 16:42

It's great isn't it Marsha. 'Busy' is a favourite of DD's ATM - usually ordering her teddies about or rolling out playdough. And when she comes and says she needs help because something like trying to get her shorts on is 'very hard work'....so, so cute.

OneLittleLady · 17/08/2013 16:46

foxy a 5 is almost always the first shoe size to sell out, I know from hunting for them. I have to be quick off the mark to get anything remotely nice in that size. Hopefully they will sell well for you and you can put the money towards something really great

BrandyAlexander · 17/08/2013 17:05

Oh Mig, my favourite is the first one but its out of stock! Thanks

mignonette · 17/08/2013 17:20

I saw that Novice but wondered if they could source it in a store or alert you when it has been restocked.

I sometimes borrow my friends 3 year old to get my fix of toddler Liberty. She announced last time I had her that she was rushed off my feet' when she fell over. Think she hadn't quite grasped the meaning of that phrase but I preferred her usage said between big gulping sobs....

Sleepwhenidie · 17/08/2013 17:28

Hi everyone

Novice, I saw these and thought of you. Plenty similar on the Gianvito Rossi website that would look fab on you too Wink. exciting about the house-good luck!

Shop did you check out the chunky knit on p59 of Red?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 17/08/2013 18:15

sleep I went one better than just looking at p59, I went on the Longchamp website last night - the siren call was too loud to resist. Put it in my basket, went to checkout...."this item has sold out, your basket is empty".

Waaaaah!

Topazandpearl · 17/08/2013 18:40

Hi everyone, I am catching up on today's posts. Thank you mrsR, I like that suggestion but DD's current favourite is Kelsall Barbour. She will try to see it in the flesh this week when out with friends. We cannot go together until the weekend after next. It is classed as medium weight, which might be better for layering under if she sizes up. She is quite excited about it - bodes well for it actually being worn!
Fingers crossed for the house Novice!

mignonette · 17/08/2013 18:50

Topaz

My StepD starts her Midwifery course soon and is moving to London (currently lives in the countryside with her M) and is excitedly buying up half of all the shops. We have bought her cutlery, towels, food processor, all her first year textbooks and a subscription to some journals. She is the messiest creature you could ever wish to meet so god help her housemates.

Exciting times.

QueenCadbury · 17/08/2013 19:38

Evening all from wet Cornwall! Our lodge is amazing and we've had champagne in the hot tub (with dc but I'm sure later in the week we will use it without them Wink). Now just vegging on the v comfy sofa in my towelling robe! Apparently we are getting a heat wave next week. Fingers crossed!

mignonette · 17/08/2013 19:44

Queen yes my friend is expecting hot weather in the SW next week and she's the kind of woman that even Mother Nature wold baulk at defying....

. You do sound chilled. Glad to hear that in your 'voice'. Are the kids blown away by the hot tub?

Drywhiteplease · 17/08/2013 19:56

Way to go QueenC will you be wearing your Bikini without children???Grin Wink
Yes...HEAT WAVE due.....legs out ladies !

LinusDKD · 17/08/2013 20:10

Wow, it's been hot here today!

As DS is obsessed with tractors we went to the annual tractor pulling event which takes place in the fields behind our house. DS loved it, I felt just a tiny bit overdressed in my teal M&E grecian dress and havs.

dry that ring is gorgeous! And I have just taken the plunge and got some biker boots and I can't wait for the weather to change so I can start wearing them. I wore them once, on the long car journey home from holiday and I love them. Even DH who hated them in the shop liked the way they looked when I wore them with skinny jeans, DKNY cozy and my MBMJ polka dot scarf.

mig I adore that Miu Miu coat! I really hope you can get it in the sales!

Looking at that website you linked to yesterday reminded me of a book DM used to have about the jewelry of the Duchess of Windsor and I used to love looking at the beautiful pictures when I was a child.

novice it must be fate that your dream house has come on the market. Fingers crossed! I have houses I lust after in about every country/town I've lived in. My current one is a beauty on the shores of Lake Geneva, but I'll have to win the lottery to be able to afford that one. Wink

liberty I have waited for ages for those M&E trousers to be on sale, but no luck. I think I might have to pay FP for them because they look super stylish and comfy.

Oh, and your DD sounds so sweet! My DS is a super grump when he wakes up from his naps. Takes after DH!

OneLittleLady · 17/08/2013 20:14

Noooooo, not another heatwave! My legs aren't fit to be seen [wails] I am whiter than white still despite all the sun we had earlier this year, I just don't tan. Ever.

shopafrolic · 17/08/2013 20:25

sleep I don't get Red. Any more details so I can Google? Intrigued now.

Burst into tears at my friend's BBQ and I wasn't even pissed! They just asked me how I was!

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 17/08/2013 20:28

My DS woke up from his nap today and has an epic tantrum, ran off straight onto the door and cracked his head. He then got kicked in the head playing football at the BBQ - probably explains my stress levels!

LinusDKD · 17/08/2013 20:31

one I forgot to say that I quickly popped into Zara today to buy some stuff for DD and I had a quick look to see if I could find that floral pencil skirt.

I couldn't find it but they did have girl's trousers in what looked like the same print and I was pretty impressed with it. The fabric was 97% cotton and 3% elasthane so hopefully the women's skirt will be as well.

I was very dissapointed with nearly everything else. Lovely designs, but most were made of polyester and looked badly finished close-up.

Oh, and I hardly tan either. My face, decolleté, back and arms have a bit of colour but my legs stay as milky white as ever. They don't even burn, whereas the rest of my body and face do.

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2013 20:32

Aww Shop that probably does explain it, are you ok? Is your ds ok?

shopafrolic · 17/08/2013 20:35

Think so. DS has a fat lip and bruising all round his cheek and eye. One of the uncles was playing football with the boys, DS wanted to get involved, uncle didn't see him - compete accident but foot into face, DS hit the deck.......

Interesting chat about skirts and footwear, I'm never sure. Which is why most years I live in trousers. Something I want to change this year.

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 17/08/2013 20:35

Poor shop! I know how you feel, DS sometimes takes a whole hour to get over his grumpyness after a nap.

DD is the opposite, when I wake her up in the morning or from a nap (or when she's already awake) she has the biggest smile possible for me.

Maybe it's a boy thing? I do sometimes give DS a couple of sweets when he's extra grumpy after his nap and that does seem to help a little.

Have a Wine and a hug!

OneLittleLady · 17/08/2013 20:35

Will try and get into the nearest Zara linus Not sure how much of it will fit though as it doesn't seem especially cut for....curvy ladies, not if the models are anything to go by at least!
