Oops. cancel that first remark. Twice.

And didn't know about Husky Hawley next week! Shall investigate possibilities...

bigTillyMint · 05/07/2013 17:18

Potato salad recipe sounds lush!

OK - where do you fancy for a drink? (I should just warn you that DH is a real pint in an old man's pub type drinker most of the time, but I'm sure I can drag him into somewhere more upmarketGrin) And Herbs, get investigating!

Oh do come Herbs if you can.

motherinferior · 05/07/2013 17:39

I was 20. Possibly 21 My hair, you will not be surprised to know, I cut myself. I am in fact wearing no makeup apart from masses of black kohl - it was the pallor of someone who didn't get out much.

Cremolafoam · 05/07/2013 17:46

Herbs whoever said roast a couple of chooks : good idea
Do that and transform into coronation chicken or alternatively do a whole load of chicken legs roasted off in a nice glaze.
I usually do salads thus:
1 green
1, mayonnaise based( QQ lovely recipe natch)
1 tomato ( maybe sliced with pesto dressing and moz)
1 grain ( lentil or rice or couscous)
Crusty bread or garlic bread for soakage
A veg quiche for veggy types or the old piedmont peppers recipe.

MaybeBentley · 05/07/2013 17:47

IT IS SO HOT! I was so glad to get home and take my clothes off Wink. How do you look smart and professional at work and still cool. Linen never quite works for me.
I bought me No7 facial brush (poor-girl's Clarisonic) yesterday and tried it in the shower this morning. Seems quite nice and maybe it was the shortening eyesight, but the blackheads did look a little better. Saw they had a glycolic peel set. Has anyone tried it?

Portait with Watermelons

bigTillyMint · 05/07/2013 18:34

Actually, MI, I had a not dissimilar haircut - done by my best mate - in my first year at uniBlush

I am not uploading any embarrassing photo's of me - I would be instantly recognisable!

Am loving the salad suggestions - we have friends from down-under staying over for a couple of nights next week....

beachyhead · 05/07/2013 21:00

There is a good salad thread running here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/food_and_recipes/1795606-fab-salad-recipe-needed-for-BBQ

We have the party tomorrow with the 'people I've invited but I don't really know' couple... Like a blind date Blush

QueenQueenie · 05/07/2013 21:16

Cremolafoam · 06/07/2013 06:55

I'd really appreciate itThanks

Have been goaded into coffee and cake pre-party Party for relatives on dds birthday. This, before teenagers arrive for Actual Party at 4pmShock

Blackduck · 06/07/2013 06:55

Wow, just Wow at that pic MI.

I shall mostly be here this weekend (and performing on that stage in the background)

bigTillyMint · 06/07/2013 07:42

cake recipe! I shall be making it again for our visitors next week. Topping was 100g chocolate, 25g butter and a spoonful of syrup melted together, IIRC!

Is that you BD? Looks more recent than 80's?

Hopefully a quiet weekend here - fingers crossed that DS is as quiet as he was last night! DD has her two oldest BFF's sleeping over tonight - love seeing them all togetherSmile

Blackduck · 06/07/2013 07:50

BTM - no that was taken last night - that's the field I will be in today... The short haired lady is at least 10 years younger than me and less grey :)

Cremolafoam · 06/07/2013 07:59

Btm thankyou so much. Looks tremendous .GrinThanks

Nope, honestly you don't. You could bung some onto the top, of course, but that particular recipe is a Storecupboard Cake (a term which always annoys me because what's in your storecupboard is probably quite different from what's in mine...)

bigTillyMint · 06/07/2013 09:14

Ruby, it's quite a dense, luscious cake.... Raspberries on the top would look lovely thoughSmile

BD, have fun!

Might have to get my shorts on and get into the garden.
